I Sa DRC 16:1  And the Lord said to Samuel: How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, whom I have rejected from reigning over Israel? fill thy horn with oil, and come, that I may send thee to Isai, the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

I Sa CzeB21 16:1  Hospodin řekl Samuelovi: „Jak dlouho budeš truchlit nad Saulem?
I Sa CzeCSP 16:1  Hospodin řekl Samuelovi: Jak dlouho budeš truchlit nad Saulem? Já jsem ho zavrhl, aby nekraloval nad Izraelem. Naplň svůj roh olejem a jdi.
I Sa CzeBKR 16:1  Řekl pak Hospodin Samuelovi: I dokudž ty budeš plakati Saule, poněvadž jsem já ho zavrhl, aby nekraloval nad Izraelem?
I Sa Webster 16:1  And the LORD said to Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thy horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth-lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

I Sa CzeB21 16:2  „Jak bych mohl jít?“ namítl Samuel.
I Sa CzeCSP 16:2  Samuel řekl: Jak mohu jít? Saul o tom uslyší a zabije mě. Hospodin řekl: Vezmi s sebou jalovici a řekni: Přišel jsem obětovat Hospodinu.
I Sa CzeBKR 16:2  I řekl jemu Samuel: Kterak mám jíti? Nebo Saul uslyše, zabije mne. Odpověděl Hospodin: Jalovici z stáda vezmeš s sebou, a díš: Přišel jsem, abych obětoval Hospodinu.

I Sa CzeCSP 16:3  Pozvi Jišaje k oběti a já ti oznámím, co máš udělat. Pomažeš mi toho, o kterém ti řeknu.
I Sa CzeBKR 16:3  A pozveš Izai k oběti, jáť pak ukáži, co bys měl činiti; i pomažeš mi toho, o kterémž já tobě povím.
I Sa Webster 16:3  And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint to me [him] whom I name to thee.

I Sa CzeB21 16:5  „Ano, pokoj,“ odpověděl.

I Sa DRC 16:7  And the Lord said to Samuel: Look not on his countenance, nor on the height of his stature: because I have rejected him, nor do I judge according to the look of man: for man seeth those things that appear, but the Lord beholdeth the heart.
I Sa KJV 16:7  But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
I Sa Webster 16:7  But the LORD said to Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the hight of his stature; because I have refused him: for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
I Sa NHEB 16:7  But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look on his face, or on the height of his stature; because I have rejected him: for I see not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

I Sa CzeB21 16:11  Samuel se pak Jišaje zeptal: „To už jsou všichni tvoji chlapci?“ „Ještě zbývá nejmladší,“ odpověděl Jišaj. „Pase někde ovce.“ „Pošli pro něj a přiveď ho!“ řekl mu Samuel. „Nebudeme pokračovat, dokud sem nepřijde.“
I Sa CzeCSP 16:11  Nato řekl Samuel Jišajovi: ⌈To jsou všichni mládenci?⌉ Odpověděl: Ještě nejmladší. Zrovna pase ovce. Samuel řekl Jišajovi: Pošli pro něj a nech ho přivést, neboť nezasedneme, dokud sem nepřijde.
I Sa CzeBKR 16:11  Potom řekl Samuel Izai: Jsou-li to již všickni synové? Odpověděl: Ještěť zůstává nejmladší, a aj, pase ovce. Tedy řekl Samuel Izai: Pošli a vezmi jej; nebo aniž sedneme za stůl, dokudž on sem nepřijde.

I Sa KJV 16:16  Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
I Sa Webster 16:16  Let our lord now command thy servants, [who are] before thee, to seek a man [who is] a skillful player on a harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he will play with his hand, and thou wilt be well.
I Sa NHEB 16:16  Let our lord now command your servants who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. It shall happen, when the evil spirit from God is on you, that he shall play with his hand, and you shall be well."

I Sa KJV 16:18  Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth–lehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.
I Sa CzeCEP 16:18  Jeden z družiny nato řekl: „Viděl jsem syna Jišaje Betlémského, ten umí hrát. Přitom je to statečný bohatýr, bojovník i muž hbitý v řeči a pohledný, a je s ním Hospodin.“
