16:1  And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold Siba the servant of Miphiboseth came to meet him with two asses, laden with two hundred loaves of bread, and a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred cakes of figs, and a vessel of wine.

16:1  Sotva David minul vrchol hory, hle – naproti mu jde Cíba, Mefibošetův sluha, se dvěma osedlanými osly a na nich dvě stě chlebů, sto sušených hroznů, sto kusů letního ovoce a měch vína.

16:1  Když David přešel kousek za vrchol, hle, šel mu vstříc Síba, služebník Mefíbóšetův, s osedlaným oslím spřežením a na něm bylo dvě stě chlebů, sto ⌈sušených hroznů,⌉ sto ⌈plodů letního ovoce⌉ a měch vína.

16:1  A když David sešel maličko s vrchu, aj Síba služebník Mifibozetův vyšel proti němu se dvěma osly osedlanými, na nichž nesl dvě stě chlebů, a sto hroznů suchých, a sto hrud fíků, a nádobu vína.

16:1  Cumque David transisset paululum montis verticem, apparuit Siba puer Miphiboseth in occursum ejus, cum duobus asinis, qui onerati erant ducentis panibus, et centum alligaturis uvæ passæ, et centum massis palatharum, et utre vini.

16:2  And the king said to Siba: What mean these things? And Siba answered: The asses are for the king's household to sit on: and the loaves and the figs for thy servants to eat, and the wine to drink if any man be faint in the desert.

16:2  And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king’s household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.

16:2  Král se Síby zeptal: „K čemu máš tyhle věci?“ Síba odvětil: „Osly pro královský dům k jízdě, chléb s ovocem k jídlu pro družinu a víno, aby se unavený mohl na poušti napít.“

16:2  And the king said to Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses [are] for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as are faint in the wilderness may drink.

16:3  And the king said: Where is thy master's son? And Siba answered the king: He remained in Jerusalem, saying: To day, will the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

16:3  And the king said, And where is thy master’s son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

16:3  Král dodal: „A kde je syn tvého pána?“ Síba králi řekl: „Ten vyčkává v Jeruzalémě. Řekl totiž: ‚Dnes mi izraelský dům vrátí království mého otce.‘“

16:3  „A kde je vnuk tvého pána?“ zeptal se král. „Ten čeká v Jeruzalémě,“ odpověděl Cíba. „Myslí si: ‚Izraelský lid mi dnes navrátí království mého děda.‘“

16:3  Král se dále zeptal: A kde je syn tvého pána? Síba králi odpověděl: Právě pobývá v Jeruzalémě. Řekl si totiž: Dnes mi dům izraelský vrátí království mého otce.

16:3  Opět král řekl: Kdež jest pak syn pána tvého? Odpověděl Síba králi: Aj, zůstal v Jeruzalémě, nebo řekl: Dnes navrátí mi dům Izraelský království otce mého.

16:3  And the king said, And where [is] thy master's son? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To-day shall the house of Israel restore to me the kingdom of my father.

16:3  The king said, "Where is your master's son?" Ziba said to the king, "Behold, he is staying in Jerusalem; for he said, 'Today the house of Israel will restore me the kingdom of my father.'"

16:3  And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he stays at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

16:3  Et ait rex : Ubi est filius domini tui ? Responditque Siba regi : Remansit in Jerusalem, dicens : Hodie restituet mihi domus Israël regnum patris mei.

16:4  And the king said to Siba: I give thee all that belonged to Miphiboseth. And Siba said: I beseech thee let me find grace before thee, my lord, O king.

16:4  Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.

16:4  Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine [are] all that [pertained] to Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee [that] I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.

16:4  Then the king said to Ziba, "Behold, all that pertains to Mephibosheth is yours." Ziba said, "I do obeisance. Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, O king."

16:4  Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, your are all that pertained to Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech you that I may find grace in your sight, my lord, O king.

16:5  And king David came as far as Bahurim: and behold there came out from thence a man of the kindred of the house of Saul named Semei, the son of Gera, and coming out he cursed as he went on,

16:5  And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

16:5  Když král David přicházel k Bachurímu, právě odtamtud vycházel muž z čeledi Saulova domu jménem Šimeí, syn Gérův. Vyšel a zlořečil

16:5  Když se potom král David blížil k Bachurim, hle – vyšel odtud nějaký muž rodem ze Saulova domu. Jmenoval se Šimei, syn Gerův, a jak šel, zlořečil

16:5  Když přišel král David k Bachurímu, právě odtamtud vycházel muž z čeledi domu Saulova jménem Šimeí, syn Gérův. Šel a přitom pronášel kletby.

16:5  Tedy bral se král David do Bahurim, a aj, vyšel odtud muž z čeledi domu Saulova, jehož jméno bylo Semei, syn Gerův, kterýžto vždy jda, zlořečil.

16:6  And he threw stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people, and all the warriors walked on the right, and on the left side of the king.

16:6  And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

16:6  And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men [were] on his right hand and on his left.

16:8  The Lord hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the Lord hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.

16:8  Na tebe Hospodin obrátil všechnu krev Saulova domu. Na jeho místě stal ses králem, Hospodin však dal království do rukou tvého syna Abšalóma. To máš za všechno to zlo, vždyť jsi vrah!“

16:8  Hospodin ti oplatil za všechnu krev Saulova domu. Stal ses králem místo něj, ale Hospodin dal království do rukou tvého syna Abšaloma. To máš za svou špatnost, protože jsi vrah!“

16:8  Hospodin ⌈ti odplatil⌉ za všechnu krev domu Saulova, na jehož místě kraluješ. Hospodin dal království do ruky tvého syna Abšalóma. Zde jsi ve svém trápení, protože jsi krvelačný člověk.

16:8  Obrátilť jest na tebe Hospodin všelikou krev domu Saulova, na jehož jsi místě kraloval, a dal Hospodin království v ruku Absolona syna tvého. A aj, již se vidíš v svém neštěstí, nebo jsi vražedlník.

16:8  The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and behold, thou [art taken] in thy mischief, because thou [art] a bloody man.

16:11  And the king said to Abisai, and to all his servants: Behold my son, who came forth from my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now a son of Jemini? let him alone that he may curse as the Lord hath bidden him.

16:11  And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the Lord hath bidden him.

16:11  David řekl Abíšajovi a všem svým otrokům: Vždyť i můj syn, který vzešel z mého nitra, usiluje o můj život. Čím spíše tento Benjamínec. Nechte ho být, ať proklíná, když mu to řekl Hospodin.

16:11  Řekl ještě David k Abizai i ke všechněm služebníkům svým: Aj, syn můj, kterýž pošel z života mého, hledá bezživotí mého, čím více nyní tento syn Jemini? Nechte ho, ať zlořečí, nebo jemu rozkázal Hospodin.

16:11  And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, who came forth from my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now [may this] Benjaminite [do it]? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

16:12  Perhaps the Lord may look upon my affliction, and the Lord may render me good for the cursing of this day.
