Chapter 8
Jere DRC 8:1  At that time, saith the Lord, they shall cast out the bones of the kings of Juda, and the bones of the princes thereof, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves.
Jere KJV 8:1  At that time, saith the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
Jere CzeCEP 8:1  „V onen čas, je výrok Hospodinův, vynesou z hrobů kosti judských králů, kosti judských velmožů, kosti kněží, kosti proroků i kosti obyvatel Jeruzaléma
Jere CzeB21 8:1  V ten čas, praví Hospodin, vyhrabou z hrobů kosti judských králů a jejich velmožů, kosti kněží a proroků i kosti jeruzalémských občanů.
Jere Webster 8:1  At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
Jere NHEB 8:1  "At that time," says the Lord, "they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves;
Jere AKJV 8:1  At that time, said the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
Jere DRC 8:2  And they shall spread them abroad to the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom have walked, and whom they have sought, and adored: they shall not be gathered, and they shall not be buried: they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth.
Jere KJV 8:2  And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
Jere Webster 8:2  And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
Jere NHEB 8:2  and they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the army of the sky, which they have loved, and which they have served, and after which they have walked, and which they have sought, and which they have worshiped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried, they shall be for dung on the surface of the earth.
Jere AKJV 8:2  And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung on the face of the earth.
Jere DRC 8:3  And death shall be chosen rather than life by all that shall remain of this wicked kindred in all places, which are left, to which I have cast them out, saith the Lord of hosts.
Jere KJV 8:3  And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the Lord of hosts.
Jere CzeB21 8:3  A kamkoli zaženu tu hrstku pozůstalých z toho zlého pokolení, tam všude budou chtít raději zemřít, než aby žili, praví Hospodin zástupů.“
Jere CzeCSP 8:3  Celý ostatek pozůstalých z této zlé čeledi na každém místě, kam jsem ty pozůstalé zahnal, si raději vyvolí smrt nežli život, je výrok Hospodina zástupů.
Jere CzeBKR 8:3  I bude žádostivější smrt nežli život všechněm ostatkům těm, kteříž pozůstanou z rodiny této nešlechetné na všech místech, kdež by koli pozůstali, tam kamž je zaženu, dí Hospodin zástupů.
Jere Webster 8:3  And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, who remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
Jere NHEB 8:3  Death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue that remain of this evil family, that remain in all the places where I have driven them," says the Lord of hosts.
Jere AKJV 8:3  And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places where I have driven them, said the LORD of hosts.
Jere DRC 8:4  And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord: Shall not he that falleth, rise again? and he that is turned away, shall he not turn again?
Jere KJV 8:4  Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
Jere CzeCEP 8:4  Řekneš jim: Toto praví Hospodin: „Což ti, kteří padli, už nemohou povstat? Kdo se odvrátil, nemůže se vrátit?
Jere CzeB21 8:4  „Řekni jim – Tak praví Hospodin: Když někdo padne, copak už nevstane? Když se odvrátí, nevrátí se zpět?
Jere CzeCSP 8:4  Řekni jim: Toto praví Hospodin: Padnou–li lidé, nepovstanou? Jestliže se někdo odvrátí, nenavrátí se zase zpět?
Jere CzeBKR 8:4  Protož díš jim: Takto praví Hospodin: Tak-liž padli, aby nemohli povstati? Tak-liž se odvrátil, aby se nemohl zase navrátiti?
Jere Webster 8:4  Moreover, thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
Jere NHEB 8:4  "Moreover you shall tell them, 'Thus says the Lord: Shall men fall, and not rise up again? Shall one turn away, and not return?
Jere AKJV 8:4  Moreover you shall say to them, Thus said the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
Jere DRC 8:5  Why then is this people in Jerusalem turned away with a stubborn revolting? they have laid hold on lying, and have refused to return.
Jere KJV 8:5  Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
Jere Webster 8:5  Why [then] hath this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
Jere NHEB 8:5  Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
Jere AKJV 8:5  Why then is this people of Jerusalem slid back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
Jere VulgClem 8:5  Quare ergo aversus est populus iste in Jerusalem aversione contentiosa ? Apprehenderunt mendacium, et noluerunt reverti.
Jere DRC 8:6  I attended, and hearkened; no man speaketh what is good, there is none that doth penance for his sin, saying: What have I done? They are all turned to their own course, as a horse rushing to the battle.
Jere KJV 8:6  I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.
Jere Webster 8:6  I hearkened and heard, [but] they spoke not aright: no man repented of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth to the battle.
Jere NHEB 8:6  I listened and heard, but they did not speak what is right: no man repents him of his wickedness, saying, "What have I done?" Everyone turns to his course, as a horse that rushes headlong in the battle.
Jere AKJV 8:6  I listened and heard, but they spoke not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rushes into the battle.
Jere DRC 8:7  The kite in the air hath known her time: the turtle, and the swallow, and the stork have observed the time of their coming: but my people have not known the judgment of the Lord.
Jere KJV 8:7  Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the Lord.
Jere CzeBKR 8:7  Ješto čáp u povětří zná nařízené časy své, a hrdlička i řeřáb i vlaštovice šetří času příletu svého, lid pak můj nezná soudu Hospodinova.
Jere Webster 8:7  Yes, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
Jere NHEB 8:7  Yes, the stork in the sky knows her appointed times; and the turtledove and the swallow and the crane observe the time of their coming; but my people do not know the Lord's law.
Jere AKJV 8:7  Yes, the stork in the heaven knows her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
Jere DRC 8:8  How do you say: We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Indeed the lying pens of the scribes hath wrought falsehood.
Jere KJV 8:8  How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
Jere CzeCEP 8:8  Jak můžete říkat: ‚Jsme moudří, my máme Hospodinův zákon‘? Ano, jenže jej falšuje falešné rydlo písařů.
Jere CzeB21 8:8  Jak můžete říkat: ‚My jsme moudří, my máme Zákon Hospodinův‘?
Jere CzeBKR 8:8  Jakž můžete říci: Moudří jsme a zákon Hospodinův máme?
Jere Webster 8:8  How do ye say, We [are] wise, and the law of the LORD [is] with us? Lo, certainly in vain he hath made [it]; the pen of the scribes [is] in vain.
Jere NHEB 8:8  How can you say, "We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us?" But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has worked falsely.
Jere AKJV 8:8  How do you say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? See, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
Jere DRC 8:9  The wise men are confounded, they are dismayed, and taken: for they have cast away the word of the Lord, and there is no wisdom in them.
Jere KJV 8:9  The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them?
Hle, odvrhli Hospodinovo slovo, k čemu jim bude moudrost?
Jere CzeB21 8:9  Ti mudrci tedy budou zahanbeni a zachváceni děsem. Hle, Hospodinovo slovo zavrhli – to si snad počínali moudře?
Jere CzeCSP 8:9  Mudrci se zastydí, zděsí se a budou polapeni. Hle, pohrdli Hospodinovým slovem, ⌈jakou to mají moudrost?⌉
Jere Webster 8:9  The wise [men] are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom [is] in them?
Jere NHEB 8:9  The wise men are disappointed, they are dismayed and taken: behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what kind of wisdom is in them?
Jere AKJV 8:9  The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: see, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
Jere DRC 8:10  Therefore will I give their women to strangers, their fields to others for an inheritance: because from the least even to the greatest all follow covetousness: from the prophet even to the priest all deal deceitfully.
Jere KJV 8:10  Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
Jere Webster 8:10  Therefore will I give their wives to others, [and] their fields to them that shall inherit [them]: for every one from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even to the priest every one dealeth falsely.
Jere NHEB 8:10  Therefore will I give their wives to others, and their fields to those who shall possess them: for everyone from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness; from the prophet even to the priest every one deals falsely.
Jere AKJV 8:10  Therefore will I give their wives to others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even to the priest every one deals falsely.
Jere VulgClem 8:10  Propterea dabo mulieres eorum exteris, agros eorum hæredibus, quia a minimo usque ad maximum omnes avaritiam sequuntur : a propheta usque ad sacerdotem cuncti faciunt mendacium.
Jere DRC 8:11  And they healed the breach of the daughter of my people disgracefully, saying: Peace, peace: when there was no peace.
Jere KJV 8:11  For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
Jere CzeCEP 8:11  Těžkou ránu dcery mého lidu léčí lehkovážnými slovy: ‚Pokoj, pokoj!‘ Ale žádný pokoj není.
Jere CzeB21 8:11  Můj těžce poraněný lid léčí ledabylými slovy: ‚Klid, jen klid‘ – jenže klid není!
Jere CzeCSP 8:11  Napravují zkázu dcery mého lidu povrchně slovy: ⌈Pokoj, pokoj,⌉ ale ⌈žádný pokoj⌉ není.
Jere CzeBKR 8:11  Nebo hojí potření dcery lidu mého po vrchu, říkajíce: Pokoj, pokoj, ješto není žádného pokoje.
Jere Webster 8:11  For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when [there is] no peace.
Jere NHEB 8:11  They have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, "Peace, peace;" when there is no peace.
Jere AKJV 8:11  For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
Jere DRC 8:12  They are confounded, because they have committed abomination: yea rather they are not confounded with confusion, and they have not known how to blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall; in the time of their visitation they shall fall, saith the Lord.
Jere KJV 8:12  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.
Jere Webster 8:12  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? no, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
Jere NHEB 8:12  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among those who fall; in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, says the Lord.
Jere AKJV 8:12  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? no, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, said the LORD.
Jere DRC 8:13  Gathering I will gather them together, saith the Lord, there is no grape on the vines, and there are no figs on the fig tree, the leaf is fallen: and I have given them the things that are passed away.
Jere KJV 8:13  I will surely consume them, saith the Lord: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
Jere CzeBKR 8:13  Do konce vykořením je, dí Hospodin. Nebude žádného hroznu na vinném kmenu, ani žádných fíků na fíku, ano i list sprchne, a což dám jim, odjato bude.
Jere Webster 8:13  I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: [there shall be] no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig-tree, and the leaf shall fade; and [the things that] I have given to them shall pass away from them.
Jere NHEB 8:13  I will utterly consume them, says the Lord: no grapes shall be on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.'"
Jere AKJV 8:13  I will surely consume them, said the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
Jere VulgClem 8:13  Congregans congregabo eos, ait Dominus.
Jere DRC 8:14  Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the fenced city, and let us be silent there: for the Lord our God hath put us to silence, and hath given us water of gall to drink: for we have sinned against the Lord.
Jere KJV 8:14  Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the Lord our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the Lord.
Jere CzeCEP 8:14  ‚Nač tu sedíme? Seberte se, vstupme do opevněných měst a tam zmlkneme, neboť nás umlčel Hospodin, náš Bůh, napojil nás otrávenou vodou, protože jsme hřešili proti Hospodinu.
Jere CzeB21 8:14  Na co tu ještě sedíme? Shromážděte se! Prchněme do opevněných měst, ať tam zemřeme! Ano, Hospodin, náš Bůh, nás odsoudil k smrti, jedovatou vodu nám dal pít, neboť jsme proti němu zhřešili.
Jere CzeCSP 8:14  Proč sedíme? Shromážděte se a pojďme do opevněných měst a zahyneme tam, protože Hospodin, náš Bůh, nás vydal záhubě a dal nám pít ⌈otrávenou vodu,⌉ protože jsme zhřešili proti Hospodinu.
Jere CzeBKR 8:14  Proč my tu sedíme? Shromažďte se, a vejděme do měst hrazených, a odpočineme tam. Ale Hospodin Bůh náš káže odpočívati nám, když vodou jedovatou napojí nás, proto že jsme hřešili proti Hospodinu.
