4:1  Po Ehúdově smrti se Izraelci dále dopouštěli toho, co je zlé v Hospodinových očích.

4:2  I vydal je Hospodin napospas Jabínovi, králi kenaanskému, který kraloval v Chasóru. Velitelem jeho vojska byl Sísera; ten sídlil v Charóšetu pronárodů.

4:2  Hospodin je proto vydal napospas kanaánskému králi Jabínovi, který vládl v Chacoru. Vůdcem jeho vojska byl Sisera, který sídlil v Charošet-hagojimu.

4:6  And she sent and called Barac, the Son of Abinoem, out of Cedes, in Nephthali: and she said to him: The Lord God of Israel hath commanded thee: Go, and lead an army to Mount Thabor, and thou shalt take with thee ten thousand fighting men of the children of Nephthali, and of the children of Zabulon:

4:6  Ta poslala pro Baráka, syna Abinoamova z neftalímského Kedeše, a vyzvala ho: „Hospodin, Bůh Izraele, ti přikazuje: Jdi, vezmi s sebou deset tisíc mužů z Neftalíma a Zabulona a vytáhni s nimi na horu Tábor.

4:6  Ta poslala a povolala Báraka, syna Abínoamova, z neftalíjské Kedeše, a řekla mu: Což nepřikázal Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Jdi, vytáhneš na horu Tábor a vezmeš s sebou deset tisíc mužů ze synů Neftalího a ze synů Zabulóna?

4:6  Kterážto poslavši, povolala Baráka, syna Abinoemova, z Kádes Neftalímova, a řekla jemu: Zdaližť nerozkázal Hospodin Bůh Izraelský: Jdi, a shromáždě lid na horu Tábor, vezmi s sebou deset tisíc mužů z synů Neftalím a z synů Zabulon.

4:6  And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh-naphtali, and said to him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, [saying], Go, and draw towards mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali, and of the children of Zebulun?

4:7  And I will bring unto thee in the place of the torrent Cison, Sisara, the general of Jabin's army, and his chariots, and all his multitude, and will deliver them into thy hand.

4:7  And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.

4:7  Já k tobě přivedu k potoku Kíšonu velitele Jabínova vojska Síseru i jeho vozbu a jeho hlučící dav a dám ti jej do rukou.‘“

4:7  Já pak přivedu vůdce Jabínova vojska Siseru i s jeho jízdou a s jeho zástupy k potoku Kíšon a vydám ti ho do rukou.“

4:7  And I will draw to thee, to the river Kishon, Sisera the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thy hand.

4:8  And Barac said to her: If thou wilt come with me, I will go: if thou wilt not come with me, I will not go.

4:9  She said to him: I will go, indeed, with thee, but at this time the victory shall not be attributed to thee, because Sisara shall be delivered into the hand of a woman. Debbora therefore arose, and went with Barac to Cedes.

4:9  And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

4:9  Řekla: „Určitě s tebou půjdu, avšak na cestě, kterou půjdeš, se neproslavíš, Hospodin totiž vydá Síseru do rukou ženy.“ I vstala Debóra a vypravila se s Bárakem do Kedeše.

4:9  Ona řekla: Určitě půjdu s tebou, jenomže na cestě, po které ty půjdeš, ti nebude patřit sláva, protože Hospodin vydá Síseru do ruky ženy. Debóra vstala a šla s Bárakem do Kedeše.

4:9  Kteráž odpověděla: Jáť zajisté půjdu s tebou, ale nebudeť s slávou tvou cesta, kterouž půjdeš, nebo v ruku ženy dá Hospodin Zizaru. Tedy vstavši Debora, šla s Barákem do Kádes.

4:9  And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thy honor; for the LORD will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

4:9  She said, "I will surely go with you: nevertheless, the journey that you take shall not be for your honor; for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman." Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

4:9  And she said, I will surely go with you: notwithstanding the journey that you take shall not be for your honor; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

4:10  And he called unto him Zabulon and Nephthali, and went up with ten thousand fighting men, having Debbora in his company.

4:10  And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

4:11  Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.

4:11  Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent to the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.

4:11  Haber autem Cinæus recesserat quondam a ceteris Cinæis fratribus suis, filiis Hobab cognati Moysi : et tetenderat tabernacula usque ad vallem, quæ vocatur Sennim, et erat juxta Cedes.

4:12  And it was told Sisara, that Barac, the son of Abinoem, was gone up to Mount Thabor:

4:13  And Sisera collected all his chariots, [even] nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that [were] with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles to the river of Kishon.

4:14  And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the Lord hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the Lord gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

4:14  I řekla Debora Barákovi: Vstaň, nebo tento jest den, v němž dal Hospodin Zizaru v ruku tvou. Zdali Hospodin nevyšel před tebou? I sstoupil Barák s hory Tábor, a deset tisíc mužů za ním.

4:14  And Deborah said to Barak, Arise, for this [is] the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thy hand: hath not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

4:14  Deborah said to Barak, "Go; for this is the day in which the Lord has delivered Sisera into your hand. Hasn't the Lord gone out before you?" So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

4:14  And Deborah said to Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD has delivered Sisera into your hand: is not the LORD gone out before you? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

4:15  And the Lord struck a terror into Sisara, and all his chariots, and all his multitude, with the edge of the sword, at the sight of Barac; insomuch, that Sisara leaping down from off his chariot, fled away on foot,

4:15  And the Lord discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.

4:15  Hospodin ostřím meče uvedl ve zmatek Síseru a všechnu jeho vozbu a celý tábor před Bárakem. Sísera seskočil z vozu a prchal pěšky.

4:15  Hospodin tehdy před Barákem rozprášil celou Siserovu jízdu a celé jeho vojsko ostřím meče. Sisera seskočil z vozu a prchal pěšky,

4:15  And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all [his] chariots, and all [his] host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera alighted from [his] chariot, and fled away on his feet.

4:15  The Lord confused Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera got off from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.

4:15  And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.

4:15  Perterruitque Dominus Sisaram, et omnes currus ejus, universamque multitudinem in ore gladii ad conspectum Barac : in tantum, ut Sisara de curru desiliens, pedibus fugeret,

4:16  And Barac pursued after the fleeing chariots, and the army, unto Haroseth of the Gentiles; and all the multitude of the enemies was utterly destroyed.
