Chapter 16
Psal DRC 16:1  The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips.
Psal VulgClem 16:1  Oratio David. Exaudi, Domine, justitiam meam ; intende deprecationem meam. Auribus percipe orationem meam, non in labiis dolosis.
Psal KJV 16:1  Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Psal DRC 16:2  Let my judgment come forth from thy countenance: let thy eyes behold the things that are equitable.
Psal VulgClem 16:2  De vultu tuo judicium meum prodeat ; oculi tui videant æquitates.
Psal KJV 16:2  O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
Psal DRC 16:3  Thou hast proved my heart, and visited it by night, thou hast tried me by fire: and iniquity hath not been found in me.
Psal VulgClem 16:3  Probasti cor meum, et visitasti nocte ; igne me examinasti, et non est inventa in me iniquitas.
Psal KJV 16:3  But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
Psal DRC 16:4  That my mouth may not speak the works of men: for the sake of the words of thy lips, I have kept hard ways.
Psal VulgClem 16:4  Ut non loquatur os meum opera hominum : propter verba labiorum tuorum, ego custodivi vias duras.
Psal KJV 16:4  Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
Psal DRC 16:5  Perfect thou my goings in thy paths: that my footsteps be not moved.
Psal VulgClem 16:5  Perfice gressus meos in semitis tuis, ut non moveantur vestigia mea.
Psal KJV 16:5  The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Psal DRC 16:6  I have cried to thee, for thou, O God, hast heard me: O incline thy ear unto me, and hear my words.
Psal VulgClem 16:6  Ego clamavi, quoniam exaudisti me, Deus ; inclina aurem tuam mihi, et exaudi verba mea.
Psal KJV 16:6  The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Psal DRC 16:7  Shew forth thy wonderful mercies; thou who savest them that trust in thee.
Psal VulgClem 16:7  Mirifica misericordias tuas, qui salvos facis sperantes in te.
Psal KJV 16:7  I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
Psal DRC 16:8  From them that resist thy right hand keep me, as the apple of thy eye. Protect me under the shadow of thy wings.

Psal KJV 16:8  I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psal DRC 16:9  From the face of the wicked who have afflicted me. My enemies have surrounded my soul:

Psal KJV 16:9  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Psal DRC 16:10  They have shut up their fat: their mouth hath spoken proudly.
Psal VulgClem 16:10  adipem suum concluserunt : os eorum locutum est superbiam.
Psal KJV 16:10  For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Psal DRC 16:11  They have cast me forth, and now they have surrounded me: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth.
Psal VulgClem 16:11  Projicientes me nunc circumdederunt me ; oculos suos statuerunt declinare in terram.
Psal KJV 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psal DRC 16:12  They have taken me, as a lion prepared for the prey; and as a young lion dwelling in secret places.
Psal VulgClem 16:12  Susceperunt me sicut leo paratus ad prædam, et sicut catulus leonis habitans in abditis.

Psal DRC 16:13  Arise, O Lord, disappoint him and supplant him; deliver my soul from the wicked one; thy sword

Psal DRC 16:14  From the enemies of thy hand. O Lord, divide them from the few of the earth in their life: their belly is filled from thy hidden stores. They are full of children: and they have left to their little ones the rest of their substance.
Psal VulgClem 16:14  ab inimicis manus tuæ. Domine, a paucis de terra divide eos in vita eorum ; de absconditis tuis adimpletus est venter eorum. Saturati sunt filiis, et dimiserunt reliquias suas parvulis suis.

Psal DRC 16:15  But as for me, I will appear before thy sight in justice: I shall be satisfied when thy glory shall appear.
