Chapter 16
Deut DRC 16:1  Observe the month of new corn, which is the first of the spring, that thou mayst celebrate the phase to the Lord thy God: because in this month the Lord thy God brought thee out of Egypt by night.
Deut VulgClem 16:1  Observa mensem novarum frugum, et verni primum temporis, ut facias Phase Domino Deo tuo : quoniam in isto mense eduxit te Dominus Deus tuus de Ægypto nocte.
Deut KJV 16:1  Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
Deut DRC 16:2  And thou shalt sacrifice the phase to the Lord thy God, of sheep, and of oxen, in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, that his name may dwell there.
Deut VulgClem 16:2  Immolabisque Phase Domino Deo tuo de ovibus, et de bobus, in loco quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus, ut habitet nomen ejus ibi.
Deut KJV 16:2  Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the Lord thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the Lord shall choose to place his name there.
Deut DRC 16:3  Thou shalt not eat with it leavened bread: seven days shalt thou eat without leaven, the bread of affliction, because thou camest out of Egypt in fear: that thou mayst remember the day of thy coming out of Egypt, all the days of thy life.

Deut KJV 16:3  Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.
Deut DRC 16:4  No leaven shall be seen in all thy coasts for seven days, neither shall any of the flesh of that which was sacrificed the first day in the evening remain until morning.
Deut VulgClem 16:4  Non apparebit fermentum in omnibus terminis tuis septem diebus, et non remanebit de carnibus ejus, quod immolatum est vespere in die primo, usque mane.
Deut KJV 16:4  And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning.

Deut DRC 16:6  But in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, that his name may dwell there: thou shalt immolate the phase in the evening, at the going down of the sun, at which time thou camest out of Egypt.
Deut VulgClem 16:6  sed in loco quem elegerit Dominus Deus tuus, ut habitet nomen ejus ibi : immolabis Phase vespere ad solis occasum, quando egressus es de Ægypto.
Deut KJV 16:6  But at the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
Deut DRC 16:7  And thou shalt dress, and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, and in the morning rising up thou shalt go into thy dwellings.

Deut KJV 16:7  And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
Deut DRC 16:8  Six days shalt thou eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day, because it is the assembly of the Lord thy God, thou shalt do no work.

Deut KJV 16:8  Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
Deut DRC 16:9  Thou shalt number unto thee seven weeks from that day, wherein thou didst put the sickle to the corn.
Deut VulgClem 16:9  Septem hebdomadas numerabis tibi ab ea die qua falcem in segetem miseris.
Deut KJV 16:9  Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.
Deut DRC 16:10  And thou shalt celebrate the festival of weeks to the Lord thy God, a voluntary oblation of thy hand, which thou shalt offer according to the blessing of the Lord thy God.

Deut KJV 16:10  And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God, according as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee:
Deut DRC 16:11  And thou shalt feast before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger and the fatherless, and the widow, who abide with you: in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, that his name may dwell there:

Deut KJV 16:11  And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
Deut DRC 16:12  And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in Egypt: and thou shalt keep and do the things that are commanded.

Deut DRC 16:15  Seven days shalt thou celebrate feasts to the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: and the Lord thy God will bless thee in all thy fruits, and in every work of thy hands, and thou shalt be in joy.

Deut KJV 16:15  Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: because the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.
Deut DRC 16:16  Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles. No one shall appear with his hands empty before the Lord:

Deut DRC 16:17  But every one shall offer according to what he hath, according to the blessing of the Lord his God, which he shall give him.

Deut DRC 16:18  Thou shalt appoint judges and magistrates in all thy gates, which the Lord thy God shall give thee, in all thy tribes: that they may judge the people with just judgment,
Deut VulgClem 16:18  Judices et magistros constitues in omnibus portis tuis, quas Dominus Deus tuus dederit tibi, per singulas tribus tuas : ut judicent populum justo judicio,
Deut KJV 16:18  Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
Deut DRC 16:19  And not go aside to either part. Thou shalt not accept person nor gifts: for gifts blind the eyes of the wise, and change the words of the just.
Deut VulgClem 16:19  nec in alteram partem declinent. Non accipies personam, nec munera : quia munera excæcant oculos sapientum, et mutant verba justorum.
Deut KJV 16:19  Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
Deut DRC 16:20  Thou shalt follow justly after that which is just: that thou mayst live and possess the land, which the Lord thy God shall give thee.

Deut KJV 16:20  That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Deut DRC 16:21  Thou shalt plant no grove, nor any tree near the altar of the Lord thy God:
Deut VulgClem 16:21  Non plantabis lucum, et omnem arborem juxta altare Domini Dei tui.
Deut KJV 16:21  Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the Lord thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
Deut DRC 16:22  Neither shalt thou make nor set up to thyself a statue: which things the Lord thy God hateth.
Deut VulgClem 16:22  Nec facies tibi, neque constitues statuam : quæ odit Dominus Deus tuus.
