12:7  They said to him: If thou wilt yield to this people to day, and condescend to them, and grant their petition, and wilt speak gentle words to them, they will be thy servants always.

12:7  And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.

12:7  Promluvili k němu takto: „Jestliže se dnes tomuto lidu projevíš jako služebník a posloužíš jim, jestliže jim vyhovíš a dáš jim laskavou odpověď, budou po všechny dny tvými služebníky.“

12:11  And now my father put a heavy yoke upon you, but I will add to your yoke: my father beat you with whips, but I will beat you with scorpions.

12:15  And the king condescended not to the people: for the Lord was turned away from him, to make good his word, which he had spoken in the hand of Ahias, the Silonite, to Jeroboam, the son of Nabat.

12:15  Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the Lord, that he might perform his saying, which the Lord spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

12:15  Wherefore the king hearkened not to the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

12:15  So the king did not listen to the people; for it was a thing brought about of the Lord, that he might establish his word, which the Lord spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

12:16  Then the people, seeing that the king would not hearken to them, answered him, saying: What portion have we in David? or what inheritance in the son of Isai? Go home to thy dwellings, O Israel: now, David, look to thy own house. So Israel departed to their dwellings.

12:16  So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.

12:16  Když celý Izrael uviděl, že je král nevyslyšel, dal lid králi tuto odpověď: „Jaký podíl máme v Davidovi? Nemáme dědictví v synu Jišajovu. Ke svým stanům, Izraeli! Nyní pohleď na svůj dům, Davide!“ A Izrael se rozešel ke svým stanům.

12:16  Když celý Izrael viděl, že je král nevyslyšel, odpověděli králi těmito slovy: „Co máme společného s Davidem? S Jišajovým synem mít podíl nebudem! Jen ať se vrátí domů Izrael, ty si hleď svého domu, Davide!“ A tak se Izrael rozešel do svých domů.

12:32  V patnáctý den osmého měsíce také zavedl svátek podobný svátku judskému a obětoval na oltáři. Tak to provedl i v Bet-elu: obětoval telatům, která zhotovil, a ustanovil kněžstvo pro posvátné výšiny, které vystavěl.

12:32  Jarobeám ustanovil svátek v osmém měsíci, patnáctého dne toho měsíce, jako je svátek v Judsku, a přicházel k oltáři. Tak činil v Bét–elu a obětoval telatům, která udělal, a ustanovil v Bét–elu kněze na návrší, která udělal.
