Chapter 20
II S DRC 20:1  And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Seba, the son of Bochri, a man of Jemini: and he sounded the trumpet, and said: We have no part in David, nor inheritance in the son of Isai: return to thy dwellings, O Israel.
II S KJV 20:1  And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
II S CzeCEP 20:1  Tehdy se vyskytl ničemník jménem Šeba, syn Bichrího, benjamínského muže. Ten zatroubil na polnici a zvolal: „My nemáme podíl v Davidovi, nemáme dědictví v synu Jišajovu. Každý ke svým stanům, Izraeli!“
II S CzeB21 20:1  Tehdy se objevil jakýsi ničema jménem Šeba, syn Benjamínce Bichriho. Ten zatroubil na roh a prohlásil: „Co máme společného s Davidem? S Jišajovým synem mít podíl nebudem! Jen ať se vrátí domů všechen Izrael!“
II S CzeCSP 20:1  Naskytl se tam ničemník jménem Šeba, syn Bichrího, Benjamínec. Ten zatroubil na beraní roh a volal: Nemáme podíl v Davidovi ani dědictví v synu Jišajovu. Všichni ke svým stanům, Izraelci.
II S CzeBKR 20:1  Přišel pak tu náhodou člověk nešlechetný, jehož jméno bylo Seba, syn Bichri, muž Jemini. Ten zatroubil v troubu a řekl: Nemámeť my dílu v Davidovi, ani dědictví v synu Izai; obrať se jeden každý k stanům svým, ó Izraeli.
II S Webster 20:1  And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name [was] Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
II S NHEB 20:1  There happened to be there a base fellow, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew the trumpet, and said, "We have no portion in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse. Every man to his tents, Israel!"
II S AKJV 20:1  And there happened to be there a man of Belial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
II S VulgClem 20:1  Accidit quoque ut ibi esset vir Belial, nomine Seba, filius Bochri, vir Jemineus : et cecinit buccina, et ait : Non est nobis pars in David, neque hæreditas in filio Isai : revertere in tabernacula tua, Israël.
II S DRC 20:2  And all Israel departed from David, and followed Seba the son of Bochri: but the men of Juda stuck to their king from the Jordan unto Jerusalem.
II S KJV 20:2  So every man of Israel went up from after David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri: but the men of Judah clave unto their king, from Jordan even to Jerusalem.

II S DRC 20:3  And when the king was come into his house at Jerusalem, he took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them inward, allowing them provisions: and he went not in unto them, but they were shut up unto the day of their death living in widowhood.
II S KJV 20:3  And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.
II S CzeCEP 20:3  David vešel do svého domu v Jeruzalémě.
II S CzeCSP 20:3  David přišel domů do Jeruzaléma.
II S CzeBKR 20:3  David pak přišel do domu svého do Jeruzaléma. A zůstaly zavřené až do dne smrti své v vdovství.
II S Webster 20:3  And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women [his] concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in custody, and fed them, but went not in to them. So they were shut up to the day of their death, living in widowhood.

II S KJV 20:6  And David said to Abishai, Now shall Sheba the son of Bichri do us more harm than did Absalom: take thou thy lord’s servants, and pursue after him, lest he get him fenced cities, and escape us.
II S CzeCEP 20:6  I řekl David Abíšajovi: „Šeba, syn Bichrího, nám teď bude škodit více než Abšalóm. Ihned vezmi služebníky svého pána a pronásleduj ho, aby si nenašel opevněná města a neunikl našim očím.“
II S CzeB21 20:6  David proto řekl Abišajovi: „Ten Šeba, syn Bichriho, nám teď může uškodit více než Abšalom. Vezmi služebníky svého pána a pronásleduj ho, než si najde nějaká opevněná města a zmizí nám z očí.“
II S CzeCSP 20:6  David řekl Abíšajovi: Šeba, syn Bichrího, ⌈bude vůči nám nyní jednat hůř⌉ nežli Abšalóm. Vezmi ⌈otroky svého pána⌉ a pronásleduj ho. Jinak si najde opevněná města a ⌈zmizí nám z očí.⌉
II S CzeBKR 20:6  Protož řekl David Abizai: Již nyní hůře nám činiti bude Seba syn Bichri, nežli Absolon. Vezmi služebníky pána svého, a hoň jej, aby sobě nenalezl měst hrazených, a tak ušel by nám s očí.

II S DRC 20:8  And when they were at the great stone which is in Gabaon, Amasa coming met them. II S KJV 20:8  When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab’s garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out.

II S Webster 20:8  When they [were] at the great stone which [is] in Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded to him, and upon it a girdle [with] a sword fastened upon his loins in its sheath; and as he went forth it fell out.
II S NHEB 20:8  When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa came to meet them. Joab was clothed in his apparel of war that he had put on, and on it was a sash with a sword fastened on his waist in its sheath; and as he went forth it fell out.

II S DRC 20:9  And Joab said to Amasa: God save thee, my brother. And he took Amasa by the chin with his right hand to kiss him.

II S DRC 20:10  But Amasa did not take notice of the sword, which Joab had, and he struck him in the side, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and gave him not a second wound, and he died. And Joab, and Abisai his brother pursued after Seba the son of Bochri.
II S KJV 20:10  But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab’s hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
