Chapter 3
II T LO 3:1  This, also, know, that in latter days perilous times will come.
II T LO 3:2  For men will be self-lovers, money-lovers, boasters, proud, defamers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
II T LO 3:3  without natural affection, bargain-breakers, slanderers, incontinent, fierce, haters of good men,
II T LO 3:4  headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God;
II T LO 3:5  having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it. Now, from these, turn away.
II T LO 3:6  Of these, indeed, are they who go into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away by divers lusts;
II T LO 3:7  always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
II T LO 3:8  Now, in the manner that Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men wholly corrupted in mind, reprobate as to the faith.
II T LO 3:9  However, they shall not proceed further; for their foolishness shall be very plain to all, as theirs also was.
II T LO 3:10  But you have fully known my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, meekness, love, patience,
II T LO 3:11  persecutions, sufferings, such as befell me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra: such persecutions I endured; but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
II T LO 3:12  And all, indeed, who will live godly in Christ Jesus, shall be persecuted:
II T LO 3:13  but wicked men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
II T LO 3:14  In the meantime, do you continue in the things which you have learned, and with which you have been intrusted, knowing from whom you have learned them;
II T LO 3:15  and that, from a child, you have known the sacred scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation, by the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
II T LO 3:16  All scripture, given by divine inspiration, is indeed profitable for doctrine, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
II T LO 3:17  that the man of God may be perfect--completely fitted for every good work.
