18:4  Ale nádoba, kterou vlastní rukou z hlíny zhotovoval, se nepovedla. Začal znovu a udělal z ní nádobu jinou; dělal, co se mu zdálo být správné.

18:6  „Cožpak nemohu naložit s vámi jako ten hrnčíř, dome izraelský? je výrok Hospodinův. Hle, jste v mých rukou jako hlína v rukou hrnčířových, dome izraelský.

18:8  Avšak odvrátí-li se onen pronárod od zla, jež páchal a proti němuž jsem mluvil, budu litovat toho, že jsem zamýšlel způsobit mu něco zlého.

18:11  A nyní vyřiď mužům judským a obyvatelům Jeruzaléma: Toto praví Hospodin: Hle, já připravuji proti vám zlo, to zamýšlím proti vám. Navraťte se už každý ze své zlé cesty, napravte své cesty a své skutky.“

18:13  Proto praví Hospodin toto: „Jen se dotažte mezi pronárody! Kdo kdy slyšel něco takového? Hrůzostrašné věci se dopustila panna izraelská.

18:13  A proto tak praví Hospodin: „Ptejte se mezi národy – Kdo kdy co takového slyšel? Panna izraelská provádí tu nejhroznější věc!

18:13  Proto takto praví Hospodin: Ptejte se mezi národy! Slyšel někdo něco takového? Něco velmi otřesného spáchala panna izraelská!

18:13  Protož takto praví Hospodin: Vyptejte se nyní mezi pohany, slýchal-li kdo takové věci? Mrzkosti veliké dopustila se panna Izraelská.

18:14  Zmizí sněhová pole ze skal Libanónu? Vyschnou snad tyto cizí vody, chladné a bystré?

18:14  Mizí snad z pole kamení nebo z Libanonu sníh? Vysychají snad mezi horami chladné bystřiny?

18:14  Cožpak sníh Libanonu opustí skalní útesy Sirjónu či vyschne horská, chladná a bystrá voda?

18:14  Zdaliž kdo pohrdá čerstvou vodou Libánskou z skály? Zdaž pohrdají vodami studenými odjinud běžícími?

18:15  Na mne však můj lid zapomněl, pálí kadidlo falešným bohům. Přivedu je k pádu na jejich cestách, na stezkách věčnosti, půjdou po neschůdných, neupravených cestách.

18:15  Můj lid však na mě zapomněl, pálí kadidlo marnostem! Na svých cestách klopýtli, na stezkách odvěkých, a odešli jinou pěšinou, cestou neupravenou.

18:15  Ale můj lid na mě zapomněl. ⌈Nadarmo pálí oběti. Klopýtli na svých⌉ cestách, věčných stezkách, aby šli pěšinami, nepřipravenou cestou,

18:16  That their land might be given up to desolation, and to a perpetual hissing: every one that shall pass by it, shall be astonished, and wag his head.

18:16  Jejich země bude vzbuzovat úděs a věčný posměch, každý kolemjdoucí bude nad ní v úděsu potřásat hlavou.
