6:6  Bylo v něm napsáno: „Proslýchá se mezi pohany, i Gašmu to říká, že ty a Judejci pomýšlíte na vzpouru, že proto stavíš hradby, a ty sám prý se chceš stát jejich králem.

6:6  V něm stálo: „Mezi národy se proslýchá a Gešem to potvrzuje, že s Židy plánuješ vzpouru. Proto stavíš ty hradby. Podle těch zpráv prý chceš být jejich králem.

6:8  And I sent to them, saying: There is no such thing done as thou sayest: but thou feignest these things out of thy own heart.

6:10  And I went into the house of Samaia the son of Delaia, the son of Metabeel privately. And he said: Let us consult together in the house of God in the midst of the temple: and let us shut the doors of the temple, for they will come to kill thee, and in the night they will come to slay thee.

6:10  Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.

6:10  Vstoupil jsem do domu Šemajáše, syna Delajáše, syna Mehétabelova, který žil odloučeně. Řekl: „Sejděme se v domě Božím, uvnitř chrámu; musíme však zavřít chrámová vrata, protože se tě chystají zavraždit; v noci přijdou, aby tě zavraždili.“

6:10  Když jsem vešel do domu Šemajáše, syna Delajáše, syna Mehetabelova, byl zaražený a řekl mi: „Pojďme se sejít v Božím domě, uvnitř v chrámě. Chrámové dveře musíme zavřít. Chtějí tě totiž zavraždit. V noci tě přijdou zavraždit!“

6:10  Když jsem vstoupil do domu Šemajáše, syna Delajášova, vnuka Mehétabelova, který byl zadržován, řekl: Sejděme se v Božím domě, uvnitř chrámu a zavřeme chrámové dveře, protože přijdou, aby tě zabili; v noci přijdou, aby tě zabili.

6:10  A když jsem všel do domu Semaiáše syna Delaiášova, syna Mehetabelova, kterýž se byl zavřel, řekl mi: Sejděme se do domu Božího, do vnitřku chrámu, a zavřeme dvéře chrámové; nebo přijdou, chtíc tě zamordovati. A to v noci přijdou, aby tě zamordovali.

6:10  Afterward I came to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who [was] shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.

6:11  And I said: Should such a man as I flee? and who is there that being as I am, would go into the temple, to save his life? I will not go in.

6:11  Odpověděl jsem: „Člověk jako já má prchat? Což může někdo jako já vstoupit do chrámu a zůstat naživu? Nevstoupím.“

6:11  „Člověk jako já by měl utíkat?“ řekl jsem na to. „A copak někdo jako já může jít do svatyně a přežít? Nepůjdu tam.“

6:11  Nato jsem řekl: Cožpak člověk jako já bude utíkat? Cožpak by někdo jako já mohl vstoupit do chrámu, a zůstat naživu? Nevstoupím!

6:12  Zjistil jsem totiž, že ho Bůh neposlal. To proroctví mluvil proti mně, protože ho najali Tóbijáš a Sanbalat.

6:13  Byl najat proto, abych ze strachu tak jednal a zhřešil. Chtěli toho využít, aby pošpinili mé jméno a potupili mě.

6:16  And it came to pass when all our enemies heard of it, that all nations which were round about us, were afraid, and were cast down within themselves, for they perceived that this work was the work of God.

6:16  Jak o tom uslyšeli všichni naši nepřátelé a spatřili to všichni pohané z okolí, velice zmalomyslněli. Poznali totiž, že toto dílo bylo vykonáno s pomocí našeho Boha.

6:16  Když se to doslechli všichni naši nepřátelé ve všech okolních národech, byli zděšeni a zdrceni. Poznali, že to dílo pochází od našeho Boha.

6:16  Stalo se, když to uslyšeli všichni naši nepřátelé a když to uviděly všechny pohanské národy okolo nás, že velmi klesli ve svých očích, protože poznali, že tato práce byla vykonána od našeho Boha.
