Chapter 10
Psal DRC 10:1  Unto the end. A psalm to David.
Psal KJV 10:1  Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

Psal DRC 10:2  In the Lord I put my trust: how then do you say to my soul: Get thee away from hence to the mountain, like a sparrow.
Psal KJV 10:2  The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
Psal VulgClem 10:2  In Domino confido ; quomodo dicitis animæ meæ : Transmigra in montem sicut passer ?
Psal DRC 10:3  For, lo, the wicked have bent their bow: they have prepared their arrows in the quiver, to shoot in the dark the upright of heart.
Psal KJV 10:3  For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.
Psal VulgClem 10:3  Quoniam ecce peccatores intenderunt arcum ; paraverunt sagittas suas in pharetra, ut sagittent in obscuro rectos corde :
Psal DRC 10:4  For they have destroyed the things which thou hast made: but what has the just man done?
Psal KJV 10:4  The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

Psal DRC 10:5  The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes look on the poor man: his eyelids examine the sons of men.
Psal KJV 10:5  His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
Psal VulgClem 10:5  Dominus in templo sancto suo ; Dominus in cælo sedes ejus. Oculi ejus in pauperem respiciunt ; palpebræ ejus interrogant filios hominum.
Psal DRC 10:6  The Lord trieth the just and the wicked: but he that loveth iniquity, hateth his own soul.
Psal KJV 10:6  He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
Psal VulgClem 10:6  Dominus interrogat justum et impium ; qui autem diligit iniquitatem, odit animam suam.
Psal DRC 10:7  He shall rain snares upon sinners: fire and brimstone, and storms of winds, shall be the portion of their cup.
Psal KJV 10:7  His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
Psal VulgClem 10:7  Pluet super peccatores laqueos ; ignis et sulphur, et spiritus procellarum, pars calicis eorum.
Psal DRC 10:8  For the Lord is just, and hath loved justice: his countenance hath beheld righteousness.
Psal KJV 10:8  He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.

Psal KJV 10:9  He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.

Psal KJV 10:14  Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
