13:2  vybral si z Izraele tři tisíce mužů. Dva tisíce jich bylo se Saulem v Michmasu a v betelských horách a tisíc s Jonatanem v benjamínské Gibeji. Zbytek lidu poslal zpátky domů.

13:4  Tak uslyšel celý Izrael: „Saul porazil výsostné znamení pelištejské.“ Tím vzbudil Izrael u Pelištejců nelibost. Proto byl svolán lid k Saulovi do Gilgálu.

13:4  Když se celý Izrael doslechl, že Saul pobil filištínskou posádku, a poštval tak Filištíny na Izrael, lid se shromáždil k Saulovi do Gilgalu.

13:9  Then Saul said: Bring me the holocaust, and the peace offerings. And he offered the holocaust.

13:11  And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and [that] thou camest not within the days appointed, and [that] the Philistines assembled at Michmash;

13:11  Samuel said, "What have you done?" Saul said, "Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines assembled themselves together at Michmash;

13:11  And Samuel said, What have you done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you came not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;

13:11  Locutusque est ad eum Samuel : Quid fecisti ? Respondit Saul : Quia vidi quod populus dilaberetur a me, et tu non veneras juxta placitos dies, porro Philisthiim congregati fuerant in Machmas,

13:12  I said: Now will the Philistines come down upon me to Galgal, and I have not appeased the face of the Lord. Forced by necessity, I offered the holocaust.

13:12  Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

13:12  řekl jsem si: Pelištejci teď sejdou proti mně do Gilgálu a já jsem si nenaklonil Hospodina. A tak jsem se opovážil zápalnou oběť obětovat sám.“

13:12  I řekl jsem: Nyní připadnou Filistinští na mne v Galgala, a tváři Hospodinově nemodlil jsem se. Takž jsem se opovážil a obětoval jsem oběti zápalné.

13:12  Therefore said I, the Philistines will now come down upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD; I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt-offering.

13:13  And Samuel said to Saul: Thou hast done foolishly, and hast not kept the commandments of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee. And if thou hadst not done thus, the Lord would now have established thy kingdom over Israel for ever:

13:13  And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

13:13  Samuel nato Saulovi řekl: „Počínal sis jako pomatenec. Nedbals příkazu, který ti dal Hospodin, tvůj Bůh. Tak by byl Hospodin upevnil tvé království nad Izraelem navěky.

13:13  „Zachoval ses jako hlupák!“ zvolal Samuel. „Nesplnil jsi rozkaz, který ti dal Hospodin, tvůj Bůh. Vždyť Hospodin by tvé kralování nad Izraelem utvrdil na věky!

13:13  Samuel řekl Saulovi: Jednal jsi bláznivě, že jsi nezachoval příkaz Hospodina, svého Boha, který ti dal. Vždyť tak by Hospodin upevnil tvé království nad Izraelem navěky.

13:13  Tedy řekl Samuel Saulovi: Bláznivě jsi učinil, nezachovals přikázaní Hospodina Boha svého, kteréž přikázal tobě; nebo nyní byl by utvrdil Hospodin království tvé nad Izraelem až na věky.

13:13  And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

13:13  Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which he commanded you; for now the Lord would have established your kingdom on Israel forever.

13:13  And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly: you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which he commanded you: for now would the LORD have established your kingdom on Israel for ever.

13:13  Dixitque Samuel ad Saul : Stulte egisti, nec custodisti mandata Domini Dei tui quæ præcepit tibi. Quod si non fecisses, jam nunc præparasset Dominus regnum tuum super Israël in sempiternum :

13:14  But thy kingdom shall not continue. The Lord hath sought him a man according to his own heart: and him hath the Lord commanded to be prince over his people, because thou hast not observed that which the Lord commanded.

13:14  But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.

13:14  Teď však tvé království neobstojí. Hospodin si vyhledal muže podle svého srdce. Jemu Hospodin přikáže, aby byl vévodou nad jeho lidem, protože ty jsi nedbal toho, co ti Hospodin přikázal.“

13:14  Ale již nyní království tvé neostojí. Vyhledalť jest Hospodin sobě muže vedlé srdce svého, jemuž rozkázal Hospodin, aby byl vůdce nad lidem jeho; nebo jsi nezachoval, cožť přikázal Hospodin.

13:14  But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him [to be] captain over his people, because thou hast not kept [that] which the LORD commanded thee.

13:14  But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for himself a man after his own heart, and the Lord has appointed him to be prince over his people, because you have not kept that which the Lord commanded you."

13:14  sed nequaquam regnum tuum ultra consurget. Quæsivit Dominus sibi virum juxta cor suum : et præcepit ei Dominus ut esset dux super populum suum, eo quod non servaveris quæ præcepit Dominus.

13:15  And Samuel arose and went up from Galgal to Gabaa of Benjamin. And the rest of the people went up after Saul, to meet the people who fought against them, going from Galgal to Gabaa, in the hill of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people, that were found with him, about six hundred men.
