29:2  And I will make a trench about Ariel, and it shall be in sorrow and mourning, and it shall be to me as Ariel.

29:2  Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.

29:2  ale dokročím na Aríela a nastane zármutek a smutek. Pak mi vskutku bude aríelem, oltářním ohništěm!

29:2  Až ale v obklíčení sevřu Ariel, nastane žal a zármutek a Ariel mi bude oltářním ohništěm.

29:3  And I will make a circle round about thee, and I will cast up a rampart against thee, and raise up bulwarks to besiege thee.

29:3  And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.

29:3  Ze všech stran se proti tobě utábořím, sevřu tě obležením, navrším proti tobě náspy.

29:3  Svým táborem tě obklíčím, oblehnu tě věžemi, náspy proti tobě navrším.

29:3  Utábořím se dokola proti tobě, oblehnu tě s náspy a postavím proti tobě obléhací pevnosti.

29:3  Položím se zajisté vůkol proti tobě vojensky, a ssoužím tě bez lítosti, a vzdělám proti tobě šance.

29:3  And I will encamp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.

29:4  Thou shalt be brought down, thou shall speak out of the earth, and thy speech shall be heard out of the ground: and thy voice shall be from the earth like that of the python, and out of the earth thy speech shall mutter.

29:4  And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

29:4  Budeš sníženo, ze země budeš mluvit, tvá řeč přidušeně zazní z prachu. Tvůj hlas bude znít ze země jako hlas ducha zemřelých, z prachu bude řeč tvá sípat.

29:4  Tehdy budeš mluvit vleže na zemi, z prachu bude znít tvé mumlání; tvůj hlas bude podobný duchu z podzemí, z prachu bude znít tvé sípění.

29:4  Budeš sníženo, ze země budeš mluvit a v prachu se bude dusit tvá řeč. Jako duch zemřelého bude ze země vycházet tvůj hlas a z prachu bude sípat tvá řeč.

29:4  Tehdy sníženo jsuc, z země mluviti budeš, a z prachu šeptati bude řeč tvá; bude, pravím, jako hadače z země hlas tvůj, a z prachu řeč tvá siptěti.

29:4  And thou shalt be brought down, [and] shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

29:4  You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.

29:4  And you shall be brought down, and shall speak out of the ground, and your speech shall be low out of the dust, and your voice shall be, as of one that has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech shall whisper out of the dust.

29:4  Humiliaberis, de terra loqueris, et de humo audietur eloquium tuum ; et erit quasi pythonis de terra vox tua, et de humo eloquium tuum mussitabit.

29:5  And the multitude of them that fan thee, shall be like small dust: and as ashes passing away, the multitude of them that have prevailed against thee.

29:5  Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.

29:5  Bude proti tobě dav cizáků jak zvířený prach, ukrutníků dav jak záplava plev. Stane se to náhle, znenadání.

29:5  Moreover the multitude of your strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passes away: yes, it shall be at an instant suddenly.

29:5  Et erit sicut pulvis tenuis multitudo ventilantium te, et sicut favilla pertransiens multitudo eorum qui contra te prævaluerunt ;

29:6  And it shall be at an instant suddenly. A visitation shall come from the Lord of hosts in thunder, and with earthquake, and with a great noise of whirlwind and tempest; and with the flame of devouring fire.

29:6  Od Hospodina zástupů bude město postiženo hromobitím a zemětřesením a mocným burácením, vichrem a smrští a plamenem sžírajícího ohně.

29:6  od Hospodina zástupů. On je navštíví hromem a zemětřesením, mohutným burácením, bouří a vichřicí, plamenem ohně, který vše pohltí.

29:6  Od Hospodina zástupů přijde tvé navštívení s hromobitím, se zemětřesením a velikou vřavou, s vichřicí a smrští a s plamenem stravujícího ohně.

29:6  Thou shalt be visited by the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

29:6  eritque repente confestim. A Domino exercituum visitabitur in tonitruo, et commotione terræ, et voce magna turbinis et tempestatis, et flammæ ignis devorantis.

29:7  And the multitude of all nations that have fought against Ariel, shall be as the dream of a vision by night, and all that have fought, and besieged and prevailed against it.

29:7  And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.

29:7  A bude to jako sen, jak noční vidění: shluk všech pronárodů, které vytáhly do boje proti Aríeli; všechny vytáhly do boje proti němu a jeho pevnostem, aby na něj dokročily.

29:8  And as he that is hungry dreameth, and eateth, but when he is awake, his soul is empty: and as he that is thirsty dreameth, and drinketh and after he is awake, is yet faint with thirst, and his soul is empty: so shall be the multitude of all the Gentiles, that have fought against mount Sion.

29:8  It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

29:8  It shall even be as when a hungry [man] dreameth, and behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and behold, [he is] faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

29:8  It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn't satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

29:8  It shall even be as when an hungry man dreams, and, behold, he eats; but he wakes, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreams, and, behold, he drinks; but he wakes, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul has appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

29:9  Be astonished, and wonder, waver, and stagger: be drunk, and not with wine: stagger, and not with drunkenness.

29:9  Žasněte a ustrňte! Oslepněte, buďte slepí! Jsou opilí, ale ne vínem, potácejí se, ne však po opojném nápoji.

29:12  And the book shall be given to one that knoweth no letters, and it shall be said to him: Read: and he shall answer: I know no letters.

29:12  And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

29:13  And the Lord said: Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips glorify me, but their heart is far from me, and they have feared me with the commandment and doctrines of men:

29:13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

29:13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near [me] with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear towards me is taught by the precept of men:

29:13  The Lord said, "Because this people draws near with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but they have removed their heart far from me, but in vain do they worship me, teaching the commandments and doctrines of men.

29:13  Why the Lord said, For as much as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

29:13  Et dixit Dominus : Eo quod appropinquat populus iste ore suo, et labiis suis glorificat me, cor autem ejus longe est a me, et timuerunt me mandato hominum et doctrinis,

29:14  Therefore behold I will proceed to cause an admiration in this people, by a great and wonderful miracle: for wisdom shall perish from their wise men, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

29:14  Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

29:14  proto i já budu dále podivuhodně jednat s tímto lidem, divně, předivně. Zanikne moudrost jeho moudrých a rozumnost jeho rozumných bude zakryta.“

29:14  Proto tento lid znovu udivím, vykonám s nimi divy divoucí; moudrost jejich moudrých vymizí a vytratí se rozum rozumných.

29:15  Woe to you that are deep of heart, to hide your counsel from the Lord: and their works are in the dark, and they say: Who seeth us, and who knoweth us?

29:15  Běda těm, kdo své záměry skrývají hluboko před Hospodinem, v temnotách konají své činy a říkají: „Kdopak nás vidí a kdo o nás ví?“

29:16  This thought of yours is perverse: as if the clay should think against the potter, and the work should say to the maker thereof: Thou madest me not: or the thing framed should say to him that fashioned it: Thou understandest not.
