Chapter 9
Isai DRC 9:1  At the first time the land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephtali was lightly touched: and at the last the way of the sea beyond the Jordan of the Galilee of the Gentiles was heavily loaded.
Isai KJV 9:1  Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
Isai Webster 9:1  Nevertheless the dimness [shall] not [be] such as [was] in her distress, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict [her by] the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
Isai NHEB 9:1  But there shall be no more gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time, he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali; but in the latter time he has made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.
Isai AKJV 9:1  Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
Isai DRC 9:2  The people that walked in darkness, have seen a great light: to them that dwelt in the region of the shadow of death, light is risen.
Isai KJV 9:2  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Isai Webster 9:2  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shades of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Isai NHEB 9:2  The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who lived in the land of the shadow of death, on them the light has shined.
Isai AKJV 9:2  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, on them has the light shined.
Isai VulgClem 9:2  Populus qui ambulabat in tenebris, vidit lucem magnam ; habitantibus in regione umbræ mortis, lux orta est eis.
Isai DRC 9:3  Thou hast multiplied the nation, and hast not increased the joy. They shall rejoice before thee, as they that rejoice in the harvest, as conquerors rejoice after taking a prey, when they divide the spoils.
Isai KJV 9:3  Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
Isai Webster 9:3  Thou hast multiplied the nation, [and] not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, [and] as [men] rejoice when they divide the spoil.
Isai NHEB 9:3  You have multiplied the nation. You have increased their joy. They rejoice before you according to the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
Isai AKJV 9:3  You have multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before you according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
Isai DRC 9:4  For the yoke of their burden, and the rod of their shoulder, and the sceptre of their oppressor thou hast overcome, as in the day of Madian.
Isai KJV 9:4  For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
Isai CzeCEP 9:4  Pak každá bota obouvaná do válečné vřavy a každý plášť vyválený v prolité krvi budou k spálení, budou potravou ohně.
Isai CzeB21 9:4  Veškerá obuv válečná i roucha krví zbrocená budou určena k spálení, budou pohlcena plameny.
Isai Webster 9:4  For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
Isai NHEB 9:4  For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as in the day of Midian.
Isai AKJV 9:4  For you have broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
Isai DRC 9:5  For every violent taking of spoils, with tumult, and garment mingled with blood, shall be burnt, and be fuel for the fire.
Isai KJV 9:5  For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
Isai Webster 9:5  For every battle of the warrior [is] with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but [this] shall be with burning [and] fuel of fire.
Isai NHEB 9:5  For all the armor of the armed man in the noisy battle, and the garments rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.
Isai AKJV 9:5  For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
Isai DRC 9:6  For a CHILD IS BORN to us, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace.
Isai KJV 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Horlivost Hospodina zástupů to učiní.
Horlivost Hospodina zástupů to způsobí!
Horlivost Hospodina zástupů to učiní.⌉
Isai CzeBKR 9:6  Nebo dítě narodilo se nám, syn dán jest nám, i bude knížetství na rameni jeho, a nazváno bude jméno jeho: Předivný, Rádce, Bůh silný, Rek udatný, Otec věčnosti, Kníže pokoje.
Isai Webster 9:6  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isai NHEB 9:6  For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isai AKJV 9:6  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isai DRC 9:7  His empire shall be multiplied, and there shall be no end of peace: he shall sit upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom; to establish it and strengthen it with judgment and with justice, from henceforth and for ever: the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isai KJV 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Horlivost Hospodina zástupů to učiní.
Isai Webster 9:7  Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Isai NHEB 9:7  Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isai AKJV 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Isai DRC 9:8  The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
Isai KJV 9:8  The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
Isai CzeCEP 9:8  Všechen lid o tom zvěděl, Efrajim i obyvatelé Samaří.
Isai CzeCSP 9:8  Ví to všechen lid, Efrajim i obyvatelé Samaří, kteří v pýše a velikášství srdce říkají:
Isai CzeBKR 9:8  Slovo poslal Pán Jákobovi, a padlo v Izraeli.
Isai Webster 9:8  The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
Isai NHEB 9:8  The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it falls on Israel.
Isai AKJV 9:8  The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it has lighted on Israel.
Isai VulgClem 9:8  Verbum misit Dominus in Jacob, et cecidit in Israël.
Isai DRC 9:9  And all the people of Ephraim shall know, and the inhabitants of Samaria that say in the pride and haughtiness of their heart:
Isai KJV 9:9  And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
Isai CzeB21 9:9  „Cihly byly zbořeny, my však budeme stavět z kamení!
Isai CzeBKR 9:9  A zvíť všecken lid, Efraim, i obyvatelé Samařští, kteříž v pýše a vysokomyslnosti srdce říkají:
Isai Webster 9:9  And all the people shall know, [even] Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
Isai NHEB 9:9  All the people will know, including Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and in arrogance of heart,
Isai AKJV 9:9  And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
Isai VulgClem 9:9  Et sciet omnis populus Ephraim, et habitantes Samariam, in superbia et magnitudine cordis dicentes :
Isai DRC 9:10  The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with square stones: they have cut down the sycamores, but we will change them for cedars.
Isai KJV 9:10  The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
Isai CzeBKR 9:10  Padly cihly, ale my tesaným kamenem stavěti budeme; planí fíkové podťati jsou, a my to v cedry směníme.
Isai Webster 9:10  The bricks have fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will change [them into] cedars.
Isai NHEB 9:10  "The bricks have fallen, but we will build with cut stone. The sycamore fig trees have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place."
Isai AKJV 9:10  The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
Isai VulgClem 9:10  Lateres ceciderunt, sed quadris lapidibus ædificabimus ; sycomoros succiderunt, sed cedros immutabimus.
Isai DRC 9:11  And the Lord shall set up the enemies of Rasin over him, and shall bring on his enemies in a crowd:
Isai KJV 9:11  Therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
Isai Webster 9:11  Therefore the LORD will set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
Isai NHEB 9:11  Therefore the Lord will set up on high against him the adversaries of Rezin, and will stir up his enemies,
Isai AKJV 9:11  Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;
Isai VulgClem 9:11  Et elevabit Dominus hostes Rasin super eum, et inimicos ejus in tumultum vertet.
Isai DRC 9:12  The Syrians from the east, and, the Philistines from the west: and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his indignation is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isai KJV 9:12  The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isai Webster 9:12  The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.
Isai NHEB 9:12  The Syrians in front, and the Philistines behind; and they will devour Israel with open mouth. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isai AKJV 9:12  The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isai DRC 9:13  And the people are not returned to him who hath struck them, and have not sought after the Lord of hosts.
Isai KJV 9:13  For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts.
Isai CzeCEP 9:13  Proto Hospodin odsekl od Izraele hlavu i ocas, palmovou ratolest i sítinu v jediný den.
Isai CzeB21 9:13  Proto Hospodin Izraeli odťal hlavu i ocas, palmový kmen i rákos v jednom dni.
Isai CzeCSP 9:13  Pak jednoho dne Hospodin utne Izraeli hlavu i ocas, palmovou ratolest i rákos.
Isai CzeBKR 9:13  Protože se lid ten nenavrací k tomu, kterýž jej bije, a Hospodina zástupů nehledají,
Isai Webster 9:13  For the people turn not to him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
Isai NHEB 9:13  Yet the people have not turned to him who struck them, neither have they sought the Lord of hosts.
Isai AKJV 9:13  For the people turns not to him that smites them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
Isai DRC 9:14  And the Lord shall destroy out of Israel the head and the tail, him that bendeth down, and him that holdeth back, in one day.
Isai KJV 9:14  Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
Isai CzeCEP 9:14  Stařec a vznešený jsou ona hlava a prorok učící klam je onen ocas.
Isai CzeB21 9:14  (Tou hlavou je stařec a hodnostář, ocas je prorok, jenž učí lži.)
Isai CzeCSP 9:14  Stařec a vznešený je tou hlavou, prorok vyučující klam je tím ocasem.
Isai CzeBKR 9:14  Protož odetne Hospodin od Izraele hlavu i ocas, ratolest i sítí jednoho dne.
Isai Webster 9:14  Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
Isai NHEB 9:14  Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and reed, in one day.
Isai AKJV 9:14  Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
Isai DRC 9:15  The aged and honourable, he is the head: and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
Isai KJV 9:15  The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
Isai CzeBKR 9:15  (Stařec a vzácný člověk, onť jest hlava, prorok pak, kterýž učí lži, onť jest ocas.)
Isai Webster 9:15  The ancient and honorable, he [is] the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he [is] the tail.
Isai NHEB 9:15  The elder and the honorable man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail.
Isai AKJV 9:15  The ancient and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet that teaches lies, he is the tail.
Isai DRC 9:16  And they that call this people blessed, shall cause them to err: and they that are called blessed, shall be thrown down, headlong.
Isai KJV 9:16  For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Isai Webster 9:16  For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err; and [they that are] led by them [are] destroyed.
Isai NHEB 9:16  For those who lead this people lead them astray; and those who are led by them are destroyed.
Isai AKJV 9:16  For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Isai DRC 9:17  Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men: neither shall he have mercy on their fatherless, and widows: for every one is a hypocrite and wicked, and every mouth hath spoken folly. For all this his indignation is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isai KJV 9:17  Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
