Chapter 3
Phil DRC 3:1  As to the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not wearisome, but to you is necessary.
Phil KJV 3:1  Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
Phil VulgClem 3:1  De cetero, fratres mei, gaudete in Domino.
Phil DRC 3:2  Beware of dogs: beware of evil workers: beware of the concision.
Phil KJV 3:2  Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
Phil VulgClem 3:2  Videte canes, videte malos operarios, videte concisionem.
Phil DRC 3:3  For we are the circumcision, who in spirit serve God and glory in Christ Jesus, not having confidence in the flesh.
Phil KJV 3:3  For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Phil DRC 3:4  Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other thinketh he may have confidence in the flesh, I more:
Phil KJV 3:4  Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
Phil VulgClem 3:4  quamquam ego habeam confidentiam et in carne. Si quis alius videtur confidere in carne, ego magis,
Phil DRC 3:5  Being circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews. According to the law, a Pharisee:
Phil KJV 3:5  Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
Phil DRC 3:6  According to zeal, persecuting the church of God: According to the justice that is in the law, conversing without blame.
Phil KJV 3:6  Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
Phil VulgClem 3:6  secundum æmulationem persequens Ecclesiam Dei, secundum justitiam, quæ in lege est, conversatus sine querela.
Phil DRC 3:7  But the things that were gain to me, the same I have counted loss for Christ.
Phil KJV 3:7  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Phil VulgClem 3:7  Sed quæ mihi fuerunt lucra, hæc arbitratus sum propter Christum detrimenta.
Phil DRC 3:8  Furthermore, I count all things to be but loss for the excellent knowledge of Jesus Christ, my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them but as dung, that I may gain Christ.
Phil KJV 3:8  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
Phil DRC 3:9  And may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, which is of God: justice in faith.
Phil KJV 3:9  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Phil VulgClem 3:9  et inveniar in illo non habens meam justitiam, quæ ex lege est, sed illam, quæ ex fide est Christi Jesu : quæ ex Deo est justitia in fide,
Phil DRC 3:10  That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings: being made conformable to his death,
Phil KJV 3:10  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Phil DRC 3:11  If by any means I may attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.
Phil KJV 3:11  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Phil DRC 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, or were already perfect: but I follow after, if I may by any means apprehend, wherein I am also apprehended by Christ Jesus.
Phil KJV 3:12  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Phil DRC 3:13  Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do: Forgetting the things that are behind and stretching forth myself to those that are before,
Phil KJV 3:13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Phil VulgClem 3:13  Fratres, ego me non arbitror comprehendisse.
Phil DRC 3:14  I press towards the mark, to the prize of the supernal vocation of God in Christ Jesus.
Phil KJV 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Phil VulgClem 3:14  ad destinatum persequor, ad bravium supernæ vocationis Dei in Christo Jesu.
Phil DRC 3:15  Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing you be otherwise minded, this also God will reveal to you,
Phil KJV 3:15  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Phil DRC 3:16  Nevertheless, whereunto we are come, that we be of the same mind, let us also continue in the same rule.
Phil KJV 3:16  Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Phil DRC 3:17  Be ye followers of me, brethren: and observe them who walk so as you have our model.
Phil KJV 3:17  Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
Phil DRC 3:18  For many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping) that they are enemies of the cross of Christ:
Phil KJV 3:18  (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Phil VulgClem 3:18  Multi enim ambulant, quos sæpe dicebam vobis (nunc autem et flens dico) inimicos crucis Christi :
Phil DRC 3:19  Whose end is destruction: whose God is their belly: and whose glory is in their shame: who mind earthly things.
Phil KJV 3:19  Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Phil DRC 3:20  But our conversation is in heaven: from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ,
Phil KJV 3:20  For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Phil VulgClem 3:20  Nostra autem conversatio in cælis est : unde etiam Salvatorem exspectamus Dominum nostrum Jesum Christum,
Phil DRC 3:21  Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory, according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto himself.
Phil KJV 3:21  Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Phil VulgClem 3:21  qui reformabit corpus humilitatis nostræ, configuratum corpori claritatis suæ, secundum operationem, qua etiam possit subjicere sibi omnia.
