Chapter 58
Psal DRC 58:1  Unto the end, destroy not, for David for an inscription of a title, when Saul sent and watched his house to kill him.
Psal VulgClem 58:1  In finem, ne disperdas. David in tituli inscriptionem, quando misit Saul et custodivit domum ejus ut eum interficeret.
Psal KJV 58:1  Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
Psal DRC 58:2  Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; and defend me from them that rise up against me.
Psal VulgClem 58:2  Eripe me de inimicis meis, Deus meus, et ab insurgentibus in me libera me.
Psal KJV 58:2  Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
Psal DRC 58:3  Deliver me from them that work iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

Psal KJV 58:3  The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

Psal KJV 58:4  Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
Psal DRC 58:5  Neither is it my iniquity, nor my sin, O Lord: without iniquity have I run, and directed my steps.
Psal VulgClem 58:5  Neque iniquitas mea, neque peccatum meum, Domine ; sine iniquitate cucurri, et direxi.
Psal KJV 58:5  Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.
Psal DRC 58:6  Rise up thou to meet me, and behold: even thou, O Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel. Attend to visit all the nations: have no mercy on all them that work iniquity.
Psal VulgClem 58:6  Exsurge in occursum meum, et vide : et tu, Domine Deus virtutum, Deus Israël, intende ad visitandas omnes gentes : non miserearis omnibus qui operantur iniquitatem.
Psal KJV 58:6  Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.
Psal DRC 58:7  They shall return at evening, and shall suffer hunger like dogs: and shall go round about the city.
Psal VulgClem 58:7  Convertentur ad vesperam, et famem patientur ut canes : et circuibunt civitatem.
Psal KJV 58:7  Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
Psal DRC 58:8  Behold they shall speak with their mouth, and a sword is in their lips: for who, say they, hath heard us?
Psal VulgClem 58:8  Ecce loquentur in ore suo, et gladius in labiis eorum : quoniam quis audivit ?
Psal KJV 58:8  As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
Psal DRC 58:9  But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them: thou shalt bring all the nations to nothing.
Psal VulgClem 58:9  Et tu, Domine, deridebis eos ; ad nihilum deduces omnes gentes.
Psal KJV 58:9  Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.
Psal DRC 58:10  I will keep my strength to thee: for thou art my protector:
Psal VulgClem 58:10  Fortitudinem meam ad te custodiam, quia, Deus, susceptor meus es :
Psal KJV 58:10  The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Psal DRC 58:11  My God, his mercy shall prevent me.
Psal VulgClem 58:11  Deus meus misericordia ejus præveniet me.
Psal KJV 58:11  So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
Psal DRC 58:12  God shall let me see over my enemies: slay them not, lest at any time my people forget. Scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord, my protector:
Psal VulgClem 58:12  Deus ostendet mihi super inimicos meos : ne occidas eos, nequando obliviscantur populi mei. Disperge illos in virtute tua, et depone eos, protector meus, Domine :

Psal DRC 58:13  For the sin of their mouth, and the word of their lips: and let them be taken in their pride. And for their cursing and lying they shall be talked of,
Psal VulgClem 58:13  delictum oris eorum, sermonem labiorum ipsorum ; et comprehendantur in superbia sua. Et de execratione et mendacio annuntiabuntur

Psal DRC 58:14  When they are consumed: when they are consumed by thy wrath, and they shall be no more. And they shall know that God will rule Jacob, and all the ends of the earth.

Psal DRC 58:17  But I will sing thy strength: and will extol thy mercy in the morning. For thou art become my support, and my refuge, in the day of my trouble.
Psal VulgClem 58:17  Ego autem cantabo fortitudinem tuam, et exsultabo mane misericordiam tuam : quia factus es susceptor meus, et refugium meum in die tribulationis meæ.

Psal DRC 58:18  Unto thee, O my helper, will I sing, for thou art God my defence: my God my mercy.
