Chapter 90
Psal DRC 90:1  The praise of a canticle for David. He that dwelleth in the aid of the most High, shall abide under the protection of the God of Jacob.
Psal VulgClem 90:1  Laus cantici David. Qui habitat in adjutorio Altissimi, in protectione Dei cæli commorabitur.
Psal KJV 90:1  Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
Psal DRC 90:2  He shall say to the Lord: Thou art my protector, and my refuge: my God, in him will I trust.
Psal VulgClem 90:2  Dicet Domino : Susceptor meus es tu, et refugium meum ; Deus meus, sperabo in eum.
Psal KJV 90:2  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Psal DRC 90:3  For he hath delivered me from the snare of the hunters: and from the sharp word.
Psal VulgClem 90:3  Quoniam ipse liberavit me de laqueo venantium, et a verbo aspero.
Psal KJV 90:3  Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
Psal DRC 90:4  He will overshadow thee with his shoulders: and under his wings thou shalt trust.
Psal VulgClem 90:4  Scapulis suis obumbrabit tibi, et sub pennis ejus sperabis.
Psal KJV 90:4  For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Psal DRC 90:5  His truth shall compass thee with a shield: thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night.
Psal VulgClem 90:5  Scuto circumdabit te veritas ejus : non timebis a timore nocturno ;
Psal KJV 90:5  Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
Psal DRC 90:6  Of the arrow that flieth in the day, of the business that walketh about in the dark: of invasion, or of the noonday devil.
Psal VulgClem 90:6  a sagitta volante in die, a negotio perambulante in tenebris, ab incursu, et dæmonio meridiano.
Psal KJV 90:6  In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
Psal DRC 90:7  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee.
Psal VulgClem 90:7  Cadent a latere tuo mille, et decem millia a dextris tuis ; ad te autem non appropinquabit.
Psal KJV 90:7  For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Psal DRC 90:8  But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked.
Psal VulgClem 90:8  Verumtamen oculis tuis considerabis, et retributionem peccatorum videbis.
Psal KJV 90:8  Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
Psal DRC 90:9  Because thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou hast made the most High thy refuge.
Psal VulgClem 90:9  Quoniam tu es, Domine, spes mea ; Altissimum posuisti refugium tuum.
Psal KJV 90:9  For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
Psal DRC 90:10  There shall no evil come to thee: nor shall the scourge come near thy dwelling.
Psal VulgClem 90:10  Non accedet ad te malum, et flagellum non appropinquabit tabernaculo tuo.
Psal KJV 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Psal DRC 90:11  For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways.
Psal VulgClem 90:11  Quoniam angelis suis mandavit de te, ut custodiant te in omnibus viis tuis.
Psal KJV 90:11  Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Psal DRC 90:12  In their hands they shall bear thee up: lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Psal VulgClem 90:12  In manibus portabunt te, ne forte offendas ad lapidem pedem tuum.
Psal KJV 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Psal DRC 90:13  Thou shalt walk upon the asp and the basilisk: and thou shalt trample under foot the lion and the dragon.
Psal VulgClem 90:13  Super aspidem et basiliscum ambulabis, et conculcabis leonem et draconem.
Psal KJV 90:13  Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
Psal DRC 90:14  Because he hoped in me I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath known my name.
Psal VulgClem 90:14  Quoniam in me speravit, liberabo eum ; protegam eum, quoniam cognovit nomen meum.
Psal KJV 90:14  O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Psal DRC 90:15  He shall cry to me, and I will hear him: I am with him in tribulation, I will deliver him, and I will glorify him.
Psal VulgClem 90:15  Clamabit ad me, et ego exaudiam eum ; cum ipso sum in tribulatione : eripiam eum, et glorificabo eum.
Psal KJV 90:15  Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
Psal DRC 90:16  I will fill him with length of days; and I will shew him my salvation.
Psal VulgClem 90:16  Longitudine dierum replebo eum, et ostendam illi salutare meum.
Psal KJV 90:16  Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
