5:1  After these things, Moses and Aaron went in, and said to Pharao: Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: Let my people go, that they may sacrifice to me in the desert.

5:3  And they said: The God of the Hebrews hath called us, to go three days' journey into the wilderness, and to sacrifice to the Lord our God; lest a pestilence or the sword fall upon us.

5:3  And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

5:8  And the number of the bricks which they made heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish [aught] thereof; for they are idle: therefore they cry, saying, Let us go [and] sacrifice to our God.

5:21  And they said to them: The Lord see and judge, because you have, made our savour to stink before Pharao and his servants, and you have given him a sword, to kill us.

5:21  And they said unto them, The Lord look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

5:21  Vyčítali jim: „Ať se nad vámi ukáže Hospodin a rozsoudí. Vy jste pokáleli naši pověst u faraóna a jeho služebníků. Dali jste jim do ruky meč, aby nás povraždili.“

5:21  Předáci jim řekli: „Ať na vás Hospodin pohlédne a soudí! Zošklivili jste nás faraonovi i jeho dvořanům; dali jste jim do rukou meč, kterým nás zahubí!“

5:21  And they said to them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savor to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hands to slay us.

5:21  and they said to them, "May the Lord look at you, and judge, because you have made us a stench to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us."

5:21  And they said to them, The LORD look on you, and judge; because you have made our smell to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

5:22  And Moses returned to the Lord, and said: Lord, why hast thou afflicted this people? wherefore hast thou sent me?

5:22  And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?

5:22  Mojžíš se obrátil k Hospodinu a řekl: „Panovníku, proč jsi dopustil na tento lid zlo? Proč jsi mě vlastně poslal?

5:22  Mojžíš se obrátil na Hospodina. „Pane můj,“ ptal se, „proč tento lid tak trápíš? Proč jsi mě sem vůbec poslal?

5:22  Mojžíš se navrátil k Hospodinu a řekl: Panovníku, proč jsi ublížil tomuto lidu? Proč jenom jsi mě poslal?

5:22  I navrátil se Mojžíš k Hospodinu a řekl: Pane, proč jsi tyto zlé věci uvedl na lid tento? Proč jsi mne sem poslal?

5:22  And Moses returned to the LORD, and said, Lord, why hast thou [so] ill treated this people? why [is] it [that] thou hast sent me?

5:22  Moses returned to the Lord, and said, "Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Why is it that you have sent me?

5:22  And Moses returned to the LORD, and said, LORD, why have you so evil entreated this people? why is it that you have sent me?

5:22  Reversusque est Moyses ad Dominum, et ait : Domine, cur afflixisti populum istum ? quare misisti me ?

5:23  For since the time that I went in to Pharao to speak in thy name, he hath afflicted thy people: and thou hast not delivered them.

5:23  For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

5:23  Od chvíle, kdy jsem předstoupil před faraóna, abych mluvil tvým jménem, nakládá s tímto lidem ještě hůře. A ty svůj lid stále nevysvobozuješ.“
