Mark | Murdock | 16:1 |
And when the sabbath had passed, Mary Magdalena, and Mary
Mark | Murdock | 16:2 | And in the morning of the first day of the week, they came to the sepulchre as the sun arose.
Mark | Murdock | 16:3 | And they said among them. selves: Who will roll back for us the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
Mark | Murdock | 16:5 | And entering the sepulchre, they saw a youth sitting on the right hand, and clothed in a white robe: and they were in perturbation.
Mark | Murdock | 16:6 | But he said to them: Be not affrighted. Ye are seeking Jesus the Nazarean, who was crucified. He is risen; he is not here. Behold the place where he was laid.
Mark | Murdock | 16:7 | But go, tell his disciples and Cephas: Lo, he precedeth you into Galilee; there will ye see him, as he said to you.
Mark | Murdock | 16:8 | And when they heard, they fled and left the sepulchre; for astonishment and trembling had seized them; and they said nothing to any one, for they were in fear.
Mark | Murdock | 16:9 | And in the morning of the first day of the week, he arose; and he appeared first to Mary Magdalena, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
Mark | Murdock | 16:10 | And she went and told them that had been with him, while they were mourning and weeping.
Mark | Murdock | 16:11 |
And they, when they heard
Mark | Murdock | 16:12 | After this he appeared, under another aspect, to two of them as they walked and went into the country.
Mark | Murdock | 16:14 | And at last, he appeared to the eleven: as they reclined at table; and he reproved the slenderness of their faith, and the hardness of their heart; because they believed not those who had seen him actually risen.
Mark | Murdock | 16:15 | And he said to them: Go ye into all the world, and proclaim my tidings in the whole creation.
Mark | Murdock | 16:16 | He that believeth, and is baptized, liveth; but he that believeth not, is condemned.
Mark | Murdock | 16:17 | And these signs shall attend them that believe: In my name, they will cast out demons; and in new tongues will they speak.
Mark | Murdock | 16:18 | And they will take up serpents; and if they should drink a deadly poison, it will not harm them; and they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.
Mark | Murdock | 16:19 | And Jesus, our Lord, after he had conversed with them, ascended to heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
