Chapter 83
Psal DRC 83:1  Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for the sons of Core.
Psal KJV 83:1  Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Psal VulgClem 83:1  In finem, pro torcularibus filiis Core. Psalmus.
Psal DRC 83:2  How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!
Psal KJV 83:2  For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
Psal VulgClem 83:2  Quam dilecta tabernacula tua, Domine virtutum !
Psal DRC 83:3  my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God.
Psal KJV 83:3  They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
Psal VulgClem 83:3  Concupiscit, et deficit anima mea in atria Domini ; cor meum et caro mea exsultaverunt in Deum vivum.
Psal DRC 83:4  For the sparrow hath found herself a house, and the turtle a nest for herself where she may lay her young ones: Thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
Psal KJV 83:4  They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
Psal VulgClem 83:4  Etenim passer invenit sibi domum, et turtur nidum sibi, ubi ponat pullos suos : altaria tua, Domine virtutum, rex meus, et Deus meus.
Psal DRC 83:5  Blessed are they that dwell in thy house, O Lord: they shall praise thee for ever and ever.
Psal KJV 83:5  For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
Psal VulgClem 83:5  Beati qui habitant in domo tua, Domine ; in sæcula sæculorum laudabunt te.
Psal DRC 83:6  Blessed is the man whose help is from thee: in his heart he hath disposed to ascend by steps,
Psal KJV 83:6  The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
Psal VulgClem 83:6  Beatus vir cujus est auxilium abs te : ascensiones in corde suo disposuit,
Psal DRC 83:7  In the vale of tears, in the place which he hath set.
Psal KJV 83:7  Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Psal VulgClem 83:7  in valle lacrimarum, in loco quem posuit.
Psal DRC 83:8  For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.
Psal KJV 83:8  Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
Psal VulgClem 83:8  Etenim benedictionem dabit legislator ; ibunt de virtute in virtutem : videbitur Deus deorum in Sion.
Psal DRC 83:9  O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob.
Psal KJV 83:9  Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
Psal VulgClem 83:9  Domine Deus virtutum, exaudi orationem meam ; auribus percipe, Deus Jacob.
Psal DRC 83:10  Behold, O God our protector: and look on the face of thy Christ.
Psal KJV 83:10  Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
Psal VulgClem 83:10  Protector noster, aspice, Deus, et respice in faciem christi tui.
Psal DRC 83:11  For better is one day in thy courts above thousands. I have chosen to be an abject in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners.
Psal KJV 83:11  Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
Psal VulgClem 83:11  Quia melior est dies una in atriis tuis super millia ; elegi abjectus esse in domo Dei mei magis quam habitare in tabernaculis peccatorum.
Psal DRC 83:12  For God loveth mercy and truth: the Lord will give grace and glory.
Psal KJV 83:12  Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
Psal VulgClem 83:12  Quia misericordiam et veritatem diligit Deus : gratiam et gloriam dabit Dominus.
Psal DRC 83:13  He will not deprive of good things them that walk in innocence: O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Psal KJV 83:13  O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
Psal VulgClem 83:13  Non privabit bonis eos qui ambulant in innocentia : Domine virtutum, beatus homo qui sperat in te.

Psal KJV 83:14  As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
