3:1  For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ, for you Gentiles:

3:1  Hujus rei gratia, ego Paulus vinctus Christi Jesu, pro vobis gentibus,

3:2  If yet you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me towards you:

3:3  How that, according to revelation, the mystery has been made known to me, as I have written above in a few words:

3:3  quoniam secundum revelationem notum mihi factum est sacramentum, sicut supra scripsi in brevi,

3:3  How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

3:4  As you reading, may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,

3:4  prout potestis legentes intelligere prudentiam meam in mysterio Christi :

3:4  Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

3:5  Which in other generations was not known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit:

3:5  quod aliis generationibus non est agnitum filiis hominum, sicuti nunc revelatum est sanctis apostolis ejus et prophetis in Spiritu,

3:5  Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

3:6  That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body: and copartners of his promise in Christ Jesus, by the gospel

3:6  gentes esse cohæredes, et concorporales, et comparticipes promissionis ejus in Christo Jesu per Evangelium :

3:7  Of which I am made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, which is given to me according to the operation of his power.

3:7  Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

3:8  To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ:

3:8  Mihi omnium sanctorum minimo data est gratia hæc, in gentibus evangelizare investigabiles divitias Christi,

3:8  Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

3:9  And to enlighten all men, that they may see what is the dispensation of the mystery which hath been hidden from eternity in God who created all things:

3:9  et illuminare omnes, quæ sit dispensatio sacramenti absconditi a sæculis in Deo, qui omnia creavit :

3:9  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

3:10  That the manifold wisdom of God may be made known to the principalities and powers in heavenly places through the church,

3:10  ut innotescat principatibus et potestatibus in cælestibus per Ecclesiam, multiformis sapientia Dei,

3:10  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

3:11  According to the eternal purpose which he made in Christ Jesus our Lord:

3:11  secundum præfinitionem sæculorum, quam fecit in Christo Jesu Domino nostro :

3:12  In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

3:13  Wherefore I pray you not to faint at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

3:16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened by his Spirit with might unto the inward man:

3:17  That Christ may dwell by faith in your hearts: that, being rooted and founded in charity,

3:17  Christum habitare per fidem in cordibus vestris : in caritate radicati, et fundati,

3:17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

3:18  You may be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

3:18  ut possitis comprehendere cum omnibus sanctis, quæ sit latitudo, et longitudo, et sublimitas, et profundum :

3:18  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

3:19  To know also the charity of Christ, which surpasseth all knowledge: that you may be filled unto all the fulness of God.

3:19  scire etiam supereminentem scientiæ caritatem Christi, ut impleamini in omnem plenitudinem Dei.

3:19  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

3:20  Now to him who is able to do all things more abundantly than we desire or understand, according to the power that worketh in us:

3:20  Ei autem, qui potens est omnia facere superabundanter quam petimus aut intelligimus, secundum virtutem, quæ operatur in nobis :

3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

3:21  To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, unto all generations, world without end. Amen.

3:21  ipsi gloria in Ecclesia, et in Christo Jesu, in omnes generationes sæculi sæculorum. Amen.

3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
