10:1  And Samuel took a little vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said: Behold, the Lord hath anointed thee to be prince over his inheritance, and thou shalt deliver his people out of the hands of their enemies, that are round about them. And this shall be a sign unto thee, that God hath anointed thee to be prince.

10:2  When thou shalt depart from me this day, thou shalt find two men by the sepulchre of Rachel in the borders of Benjamin to the south, and they shall say to thee: The asses are found which thou wentest to seek: and thy father, thinking no more of the asses, is concerned for you, and saith: What shall I do for my son?

10:2  When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

10:2  Až půjdeš dnes ode mne, zastihneš u Ráchelina hrobu na benjamínském území v Selsachu dva muže; oni ti řeknou: ‚Oslice, které jsi šel hledat, se našly. Tvůj otec již nedbá o to, co je s oslicemi, ale má obavy o vás. Říká: Co mám pro svého syna udělat?‘

10:2  Až dnes půjdeš ode mě, u hrobu Ráchel na benjamínském území v Celcachu potkáš dva muže. Řeknou ti: ‚Ty oslice, které jsi šel hledat, se našly. Tvůj otec už nemá starost o oslice, ale bojí se o vás. Říká si: Co můj syn? Co si počnu?‘

10:2  Až dnes půjdeš ode mě, potkáš dva muže u Ráchelina hrobu na území Benjamínově v Selsachu. Řeknou ti: Oslice, které jsi šel hledat, se našly. Hle, tvůj otec nechal být záležitost s oslicemi a obává se o vás. Říká si: Co mám udělat ⌈pro svého syna?⌉

10:2  Když půjdeš dnes ode mne, nalezneš dva muže u hrobu Ráchel v končinách Beniamin v Zelzachu. Kteříž řeknou tobě: Nalezeny jsou oslice, jichž jsi chodil hledati. A aj, otec tvůj nechav péče o oslice, stará se o vás, pravě: Kterak udělám o syna svého?

10:2  When thou hast departed from me to-day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulcher in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

10:3  A odejda odtud dále, přijdeš až k rovině Tábor. I potkají se s tebou tam tři muži vstupující k Bohu do Bethel, jeden nesa tři kozelce, druhý nesa tři pecníky chleba, a třetí nesa láhvici vína.

10:5  Potom vstoupíš na Boží pahorek, na kterém jsou pelištejská výsostná znamení. Až tam vejdeš do města, narazíš na hlouček proroků sestupujících z posvátného návrší; před nimi harfa, buben, píšťala a citara, a oni budou v prorockém vytržení.

10:5  Přijdeš na Gibeat-elohim, Boží vrch, kde je filištínská posádka. Jakmile vejdeš do města, potkáš průvod proroků. S citerou, tamburínou, píšťalou a lyrou v čele budou v prorockém vytržení sestupovat z návrší.

10:5  Potom jdi ⌈do Gibeje Boží,⌉ kde je pelištejská posádka. I stane se, když vstoupíš do toho města, že potkáš skupinu proroků, jak sestupují z návrší, ⌈mají před sebou⌉ harfu, tamburínu, flétnu a lyru, a prorokují.

10:5  Potom přijdeš na pahrbek Boží, na kterémž jest stráž Filistinská. A když tam vejdeš do města, potká se s tebou zástup proroků sstupujících s hory, a před nimi loutna, buben i píšťalka a harfa, a oni prorokovati budou.

10:8  Potom sestoupíš přede mnou do Gilgálu a já sestoupím k tobě, abych obětoval zápalné oběti a připravil hody oběti pokojné. Sedm dní budeš čekat, než k tobě přijdu. Pak ti dám vědět, co máš udělat.“

10:9  Sotva se Saul obrátil, aby od Samuela odešel, proměnil mu Bůh srdce v jiné. Onoho dne se dostavila všechna tato znamení.

10:15  Saul's uncle said, "Please tell me what Samuel said to you."
