Chapter 4
II T Murdock 4:1  I charge thee, before God, and our Lord Jesus the Messiah, who is to judge the living and the dead, at the manifestation of his kingdom,
II T Murdock 4:2  Proclaim the word; and persist in it with diligence, in time and out of time; admonish, and rebuke, with all patience and instructiveness.
II T Murdock 4:3  For the time will come, when they will not give ear to sound teaching; but, according to their lusts, will multiply to themselves teachers, in the itching of their hearing;
II T Murdock 4:4  and will turn away their ears from the truth, and incline after fables.
II T Murdock 4:5  But be thou vigilant in all things; and endure evils, and do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill thy ministry.
II T Murdock 4:6  But I am soon to be immolated; and the time of my dissolution hath come.
II T Murdock 4:7  I have fought a good combat, I have completed my race, I have preserved my fidelity;
II T Murdock 4:8  and henceforth there is preserved for me a crown of righteousness, with which my Lord, the righteous Judge, will recompense me in that day; and not me only, but them also who love his manifestation.
II T Murdock 4:10  For Demas hath left me; and hath loved this world and gone away to Thessalonica; Crispus to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
II T Murdock 4:11  Luke only is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is suitable for me, for ministration.
II T Murdock 4:13  And when thou comest, bring the bookcase, which I left at Troas with Carpus, and the books, but especially the roll of parchments.
II T Murdock 4:14  Alexander the coppersmith showed me many ills: our Lord will reward him according to his doings.
II T Murdock 4:15  And do thou also beware of him; for he is very insolent against our words.
II T Murdock 4:16  At my first defence, no one was with me, but they all forsook me. Let not this be reckoned to them.
II T Murdock 4:17  But my Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fulfilled; and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was rescued from the mouth of the lion.
II T Murdock 4:18  And my Lord will rescue me from every evil work; and will give me life in his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
II T Murdock 4:19  Present a salutation to Priscilla and Aquila, and to the household of Onesiphorus.
II T Murdock 4:20  Erastus hath stopped at Corinth; and Trophimus I left sick at the city of Miletus.
II T Murdock 4:21  Exert thyself to come before winter. Eubulus saluteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
II T Murdock 4:22  Our Lord Jesus the Messiah be with thy spirit. Grace be with thee. Amen.
