MARK
Chapter 16
Mark | Worsley | 16:1 | And when the sabbath was past Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices in order to come and embalm Him:
Mark | Worsley | 16:2 | and very early in the morning of the first day of the week they come to the sepulchre at sun-rising.
Mark | Worsley | 16:3 | And they said to one another, Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the sepulchre?
Mark | Worsley | 16:4 | (but when they looked up, they saw that the stone was rolled away,) for it was a very great one.
Mark | Worsley | 16:5 | And they went into the sepulchre and saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white robe; and they were affrighted:
Mark | Worsley | 16:6 | but he said to them, Be not affrighted, ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified, He is risen, He is not here, see the place where they laid Him.
Mark | Worsley | 16:7 | But go, tell his disciples, and Peter particularly, that He is going before you into Galilee: there ye will see Him, as He told you.
Mark | Worsley | 16:8 | And they hasted out and fled from the sepulchre; for they were seized with trembling and amazement: neither said they any thing to any one; for they were afraid.
Mark | Worsley | 16:9 | Now Jesus being risen early on the first day of the week appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven devils:
Mark | Worsley | 16:10 | and she went and told those that used to be with Him, who were mourning and weeping;
Mark | Worsley | 16:11 | but they, though they heard that He was indeed alive, and had been seen by her, did not believe it.
Mark | Worsley | 16:12 | After this He appeared in another form to two of them as they were walking, going into the country:
Mark | Worsley | 16:14 | At last he appeared to the eleven as they were sitting at table, and upbraided them with their unbelief, and hardness of heart; because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He was risen.
Mark | Worsley | 16:16 | he that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be condemned.
Mark | Worsley | 16:17 | And these signs shall accompany them that believe; in my name shall they cast out demons, they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark | Worsley | 16:18 | they shall take up serpents, and if they should drink any thing poisonous, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall be well.
Mark | Worsley | 16:19 | Now the Lord, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
