Chapter 80
Psal DRC 80:1  Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for Asaph himself.
Psal VulgClem 80:1  In finem, pro torcularibus. Psalmus ipsi Asaph.
Psal KJV 80:1  Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
Psal DRC 80:2  Rejoice to God our helper: sing aloud to the God of Jacob.
Psal VulgClem 80:2  Exsultate Deo adjutori nostro ; jubilate Deo Jacob.
Psal KJV 80:2  Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
Psal DRC 80:3  Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel: the pleasant psaltery with the harp.
Psal VulgClem 80:3  Sumite psalmum, et date tympanum ; psalterium jucundum cum cithara.
Psal KJV 80:3  Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Psal DRC 80:4  Blow up the trumpet on the new moon, on the noted day of your solemnity.

Psal KJV 80:4  O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
Psal DRC 80:5  For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob.
Psal VulgClem 80:5  quia præceptum in Israël est, et judicium Deo Jacob.
Psal KJV 80:5  Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
Psal DRC 80:6  He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not.

Psal KJV 80:6  Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.

Psal KJV 80:7  Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Psal DRC 80:8  Thou calledst upon me in affliction, and I delivered thee: I heard thee in the secret place of tempest: I proved thee at the waters of contradiction.
Psal VulgClem 80:8  In tribulatione invocasti me, et liberavi te. Exaudivi te in abscondito tempestatis ; probavi te apud aquam contradictionis.
Psal KJV 80:8  Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Psal DRC 80:9  Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me,
Psal VulgClem 80:9  Audi, populus meus, et contestabor te. Israël, si audieris me,
Psal KJV 80:9  Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
Psal DRC 80:10  there shall be no new god in thee: neither shalt thou adore a strange god.
Psal VulgClem 80:10  non erit in te deus recens, neque adorabis deum alienum.
Psal KJV 80:10  The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
Psal DRC 80:11  For I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Psal VulgClem 80:11  Ego enim sum Dominus Deus tuus, qui eduxi te de terra Ægypti. Dilata os tuum, et implebo illud.
Psal KJV 80:11  She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
Psal DRC 80:12  But my people heard not my voice: and Israel hearkened not to me.
Psal VulgClem 80:12  Et non audivit populus meus vocem meam, et Israël non intendit mihi.
Psal KJV 80:12  Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
Psal DRC 80:13  So I let them go according to the desires of their heart: they shall walk in their own inventions.
Psal VulgClem 80:13  Et dimisi eos secundum desideria cordis eorum ; ibunt in adinventionibus suis.
Psal KJV 80:13  The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Psal DRC 80:14  If my people had heard me: if Israel had walked in my ways:
Psal VulgClem 80:14  Si populus meus audisset me, Israël si in viis meis ambulasset,
Psal KJV 80:14  Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
Psal DRC 80:15  I should soon have humbled their enemies, and laid my hand on them that troubled them.
Psal VulgClem 80:15  pro nihilo forsitan inimicos eorum humiliassem, et super tribulantes eos misissem manum meam.
Psal KJV 80:15  And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
Psal DRC 80:16  The enemies of the Lord have lied to him: and their time shall be for ever.
Psal VulgClem 80:16  Inimici Domini mentiti sunt ei, et erit tempus eorum in sæcula.
Psal KJV 80:16  It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Psal DRC 80:17  And he fed them with the fat of wheat, and filled them with honey out of the rock.
Psal VulgClem 80:17  Et cibavit eos ex adipe frumenti, et de petra melle saturavit eos.
Psal KJV 80:17  Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
