7:1  And they went in to Raguel, and Raguel received them with joy.

7:1  Když dorazili do Ekbatan, Tobiáš Rafaela požádal: „Bratře Azariáši, zaveď mě rovnou k našemu bratru Raguelovi.“ A tak ho zavedl k Raguelovu domu. Zastihli Raguela, jak sedí u vchodu do dvora, a hned ho pozdravili. Odpověděl jim: „Srdečně vás zdravím, bratři. Vítejte a buďte zdrávi!“ Pak je uvedl dovnitř

7:1  Ingressi sunt autem ad Raguelem, et suscepit eos Raguel cum gaudio.

7:2  And Raguel looking upon Tobias, said to Anna his wife: How like is this young man to my cousin?

7:2  a své ženě Edně řekl: „Ten mladík vypadá úplně jako bratr Tobit.“

7:2  Intuensque Tobiam Raguel, dixit Annæ uxori suæ : Quam similis est juvenis iste consobrino meo !

7:3  And when he had spoken these words, he said: Whence are ye young men our brethren?

7:3  Edna se jich tedy zeptala: „Odkud jste, bratři?“ „Ze synů Neftalíma odvlečených do Ninive,“ odpověděli.

7:3  Et cum hæc dixisset, ait : Unde estis juvenes fratres nostri ? At illi dixerunt : Ex tribu Nephthali sumus, ex captivitate Ninive.

7:4  But they said: We are of the tribe of Nephtali, of the captivity of Ninive.

7:4  „A neznáte našeho bratra Tobita?“ ona na to. „Toho známe,“ řekli jí.

7:4  Dixitque illis Raguel : Nostis Tobiam fratrem meum ? Qui dixerunt : Novimus.

7:5  And Raguel said to them: Do you know Tobias my brother? And they said: We know him.

7:5  „A jak se mu daří?“ zeptala se. „Je živ a zdráv,“ odpověděli, načež Tobiáš dodal: „Je to můj otec.“

7:5  Cumque multa bona loqueretur de eo, dixit angelus ad Raguelem : Tobias, de quo interrogas, pater istius est.

7:6  And when he was speaking many good things of him, the angel said to Raguel: Tobias concerning whom thou inquirest is this young man's father.

7:6  Raguel vyskočil a začal ho líbat. Plakal a říkal mu: „Buď požehnán, chlapče! Máš dobrého a ušlechtilého otce. Je to hrozné, že takový spravedlivý a štědrý člověk oslepl!“ Objímal svého bratra Tobiáše a plakal.

7:6  Et misit se Raguel, et cum lacrimis osculatus est eum, et plorans supra collum ejus

7:7  And Raguel went to him, and kissed him with tears and weeping upon his neck, said: A blessing be upon thee, my son, because thou art the son of a good and most virtuous man.

7:7  Také jeho žena Edna kvůli němu plakala, stejně jako jejich dcera Sára.

7:7  dixit : Benedictio sit tibi, fili mi, quia boni et optimi viri filius es.

7:8  And Anna his wife, and Sara their daughter wept.

7:8  Raguel pak porazil berana ze svého stáda a štědře je pohostil.

7:8  Et Anna uxor ejus, et Sara ipsorum filia, lacrimatæ sunt.

7:9  And after they had spoken, Raguel commanded a sheep to be killed, and a feast to be prepared. And when he desired them to sit down to dinner,

7:9  Vykoupali se, umyli, a jen co usedli k jídlu, Tobiáš Rafaela vyzval: „Bratře Azariáši, řekni Raguelovi, ať mi dá mou sestru Sáru za ženu.“

7:9  Postquam autem locuti sunt, præcepit Raguel occidi arietem, et parari convivium. Cumque hortaretur eos discumbere ad prandium,

7:10  Tobias said: I will not eat nor drink here this day, unless thou first grant me my petition, and promise to give me Sara thy daughter.

7:10  Raguel to uslyšel a řekl chlapci: „Jez, pij a užij si dnešní noc. Nikdo kromě tebe, bratře, nemá právo si mou dceru Sáru vzít. Jinému muži ji ani dát nesmím, protože ty jsi můj nejbližší příbuzný. Teď ti ale povím čistou pravdu, chlapče.

7:10  Tobias dixit : Hic ego hodie non manducabo neque bibam, nisi prius petitionem meam confirmes, et promittas mihi dare Saram filiam tuam.

7:11  Now when Raguel heard this he was afraid, knowing what had happened to those seven husbands, that went in unto her: and he began to fear lest it might happen to him also in like manner: and as he was in suspense, and gave no answer to his petition,

7:11  Už jsem ji dal sedmi mužům ze svého příbuzenstva, a každý z nich zemřel v tu noc, kdy k ní vešel. Teď tedy, chlapče, jez a pij. Hospodin se o vás postará.“

7:11  Quo audito verbo Raguel expavit, sciens quid evenerit illis septem viris qui ingressi sunt ad eam : et timere cœpit ne forte et hunc similiter contingeret. Et cum nutaret, et non daret petenti ullum responsum,

7:12  The angel said to him: Be not afraid to give her to this man, for to him who feareth God is thy daughter due to be his wife: therefore another could not have her.

7:12  Tobiáš ale řekl: „Nic takového. Nebudu už jíst ani pít, dokud mou věc nerozhodneš.“ „Tak dobrá,“ odpověděl Raguel. „Podle ustanovení Knihy Mojžíšovy je tvá. Samo Nebe rozhodlo, že ji dostaneš. Vezmi si svou sestru za ženu. Od teď budete svoji jako bratr a sestra; ode dneška navěky je tvá. Pán nebes kéž vás zdárně provede touto nocí, chlapče, a daruje vám milosrdenství a pokoj.“

7:12  dixit ei angelus : Noli timere dare eam isti, quoniam huic timenti Deum debetur conjux filia tua : propterea alius non potuit habere illam.

7:13  Then Raguel said: I doubt not but God hath regarded my prayers and tears in his sight.

7:13  Raguel pak zavolal svou dceru Sáru. Když za ním přišla, vzal ji za ruku a předal ji Tobiášovi se slovy: „Vezmi si ji. Podle zákona a podle ustanovení zapsaného v Knize Mojžíšově ti ji dávám za ženu. Přijmi ji a odveď ve zdraví ke svému otci. Bůh nebes kéž vás provází pokojem.“

7:13  Tunc dixit Raguel : Non dubito quod Deus preces et lacrimas meas in conspectu suo admiserit.

7:14  And I believe he hath therefore made you come to me, that this maid might be married to one of her own kindred, according to the law of Moses: and now doubt not but I will give her to thee.

7:14  Potom zavolal její matku a řekl jí, ať přinese svitek. Na něj napsal manželskou smlouvu, že mu ji podle ustanovení Mojžíšova zákona dává za ženu, a dali se do jídla a pití.

7:14  Et credo quoniam ideo fecit vos venire ad me, ut ista conjungeretur cognationi suæ secundum legem Moysi : et nunc noli dubium gerere quod tibi eam tradam.

7:15  And taking the right hand of his daughter, he gave it into the right hand of Tobias, saying: The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob be with you, and may he join you together, and fulfil his blessing in you.

7:15  Raguel pak zavolal svou ženu Ednu a řekl jí: „Ženo, připrav druhou ložnici a odveď tam Sáru.“

7:15  Et apprehendens dexteram filiæ suæ, dexteræ Tobiæ tradidit, dicens : Deus Abraham, et Deus Isaac, et Deus Jacob vobiscum sit, et ipse conjungat vos, impleatque benedictionem suam in vobis.

7:16  And taking paper they made a writing of the marriage.

7:16  A tak šla, ustlala v druhé ložnici, jak jí řekl, a odvedla ji tam. Rozplakala se nad ní, ale pak si utřela slzy a řekla jí:

7:16  Et accepta carta, fecerunt conscriptionem conjugii.

7:17  And afterwards they made merry, blessing God.

7:17  „Hlavu vzhůru, dcero. Pán nebes kéž promění tvůj žal v radost. Hlavu vzhůru, dcero.“ Pak vyšla ven.

7:17  Et post hæc epulati sunt, benedicentes Deum.

7:18  And Raguel called to him Anna his wife, and bade her to prepare another chamber.

7:18  Vocavitque Raguel ad se Annam uxorem suam, et præcepit ei ut præpararet alterum cubiculum.

7:19  And she brought Sara her daughter in thither, and she wept.

7:19  Et introduxit illuc Saram filiam suam, et lacrimata est.

7:20  And she said to her: Be of good cheer, my daughter: the Lord of heaven give thee joy for the trouble thou hast undergone.

7:20  Dixitque ei : Forti animo esto, filia mea : Dominus cæli det tibi gaudium pro tædio quod perpessa es.
