Chapter 4
Wisd DRC 4:1  How beautiful is the chaste generation with glory: for the memory thereof is immortal: because it is known both with God and with men.
Wisd KJV 4:1
Wisd CzeCEP 4:1
Wisd CzeB21 4:1  Lepší je nemít děti, a mít ctnost, vždyť v její památce je nesmrtelnost. Ctnost má uznání u Boha i u lidí:
Wisd CzeCSP 4:1
Wisd CzeBKR 4:1
Wisd DRC 4:2  When it is present, they imitate it: and they desire it, when it hath withdrawn itself, and it triumpheth crowned for ever, winning the reward of undefiled conflicts.
Wisd KJV 4:2
Wisd CzeCEP 4:2
Wisd DRC 4:3  But the multiplied brood of the wicked shall not thrive, and bastard slips shall not take deep root, nor any fast foundation.
Wisd KJV 4:3
Wisd CzeCEP 4:3
Wisd DRC 4:4  And if they flourish in branches for a time, yet standing not fast, they shall be shaken with the wind, and through the force of winds they shall be rooted out.
Wisd KJV 4:4
Wisd CzeCEP 4:4
Wisd CzeB21 4:4  I kdyby načas vypustili větve, stojí nejistě, vítr jimi kýve a vichřice je vyrve z kořene.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:4
Wisd CzeBKR 4:4
Wisd VulgClem 4:4  Etsi in ramis in tempore germinaverint, infirmiter posita, a vento commovebuntur, et a nimietate ventorum eradicabuntur.
Wisd DRC 4:5  For the branches not being perfect, shall be broken, and their fruits shall be unprofitable, and sour to eat, and fit for nothing.
Wisd KJV 4:5
Wisd CzeCEP 4:5
Wisd DRC 4:6  For the children that are born of unlawful beds, are witnesses of wickedness against their parents in their trial.
Wisd KJV 4:6
Wisd CzeCEP 4:6
Wisd CzeB21 4:6  Ano, děti zplozené z hříšného styku na soudu svědčí o špatnosti rodičů.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:6
Wisd CzeBKR 4:6
Wisd DRC 4:7  But the just man, if he be prevented with death, shall be in rest.
Wisd KJV 4:7
Wisd CzeCEP 4:7
Wisd CzeB21 4:7  Spravedlivý však, i kdyby zemřel předčasně, v klidu spočine.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:7
Wisd CzeBKR 4:7
Wisd VulgClem 4:7  Justus autem si morte præoccupatus fuerit, in refrigerio erit ;
Wisd DRC 4:8  For venerable old age is not that of long time, nor counted by the number of years: but the understanding of a man is grey hairs.
Wisd KJV 4:8
Wisd CzeCEP 4:8
Wisd CzeB21 4:8  Ctihodnost stáří přece není v dlouhověkosti a neměří se počtem let.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:8
Wisd CzeBKR 4:8
Wisd DRC 4:9  And a spotless life is old age.
Wisd KJV 4:9
Wisd CzeCEP 4:9
Wisd CzeCSP 4:9
Wisd CzeBKR 4:9
Wisd VulgClem 4:9  et ætas senectutis vita immaculata.
Wisd DRC 4:10  He pleased God, and was beloved, and living among sinners, he was translated.
Wisd KJV 4:10
Wisd CzeCEP 4:10
Wisd DRC 4:11  He was taken away, lest wickedness should alter his understanding, or deceit beguile his soul.
Wisd KJV 4:11
Wisd CzeCEP 4:11
Wisd CzeB21 4:11  Bůh ho vzal, aby se v mysli nenakazil zlem a v duši se nedal svést žádným úskokem.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:11
Wisd CzeBKR 4:11
Wisd DRC 4:12  For the bewitching of vanity obscureth good things, and the wandering of concupiscence overturneth the innocent mind.
Wisd KJV 4:12
Wisd CzeCEP 4:12
Wisd CzeB21 4:12  Vždyť svůdnost neřesti dokáže dobro zastínit a nevinnou mysl kazí vír žádosti.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:12
Wisd CzeBKR 4:12
Wisd VulgClem 4:12  Fascinatio enim nugacitatis obscurat bona, et inconstantia concupiscentiæ transvertit sensum sine malitia.
Wisd DRC 4:13  Being made perfect in a short space, he fulfilled a long time.
Wisd KJV 4:13
Wisd CzeCEP 4:13
Wisd CzeB21 4:13  Zakrátko došel zralosti, jako by prožil dlouhé roky.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:13
Wisd CzeBKR 4:13
Wisd VulgClem 4:13  Consummatus in brevi, explevit tempora multa ;
Wisd DRC 4:14  For his soul pleased God: therefore he hastened to bring him out of the midst of iniquities: but the people see this, and understand not, nor lay up such things in their hearts:
Wisd KJV 4:14
Wisd CzeCEP 4:14
Wisd DRC 4:15  That the grace of God, and his mercy is with his saints, and that he hath respect to his chosen.
Wisd KJV 4:15
Wisd CzeCEP 4:15
Wisd CzeB21 4:15  Pro své vyvolené má Bůh milost a slitování, on sám bdí nad svými svatými.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:15
Wisd CzeBKR 4:15
Wisd VulgClem 4:15  quoniam gratia Dei et misericordia est in sanctos ejus, et respectus in electos illius.
Wisd DRC 4:16  But the just that is dead, condemneth the wicked that are living, and youth soon ended, the long life of the unjust.
Wisd KJV 4:16
Wisd CzeCEP 4:16
Wisd CzeB21 4:16  Mrtvý spravedlivý odsoudí živé bezbožníky a rychle ukončené mládí usvědčí stáří ničemných.
Wisd CzeCSP 4:16
Wisd CzeBKR 4:16
Wisd VulgClem 4:16  Condemnat autem justus mortuus vivos impios, et juventus celerius consummata longam vitam injusti.
Wisd DRC 4:17  For they shall see the end of the wise man, and it shall not understand what God hath designed for him, and why the Lord hath set him in safety.
Wisd KJV 4:17
Wisd CzeCEP 4:17
Wisd DRC 4:18  They shall see him, and shall despise him: but the Lord shall laugh them to scorn.
Wisd KJV 4:18
Wisd CzeCEP 4:18
Wisd DRC 4:19  And they shall fall after this without honour, and be a reproach among the dead for ever: for he shall burst them puffed up and speechless, and shall shake them from the foundations, and they shall be utterly laid waste: they shall be in sorrow, and their memory shall perish.
Wisd KJV 4:19
Wisd CzeCEP 4:19
Wisd DRC 4:20  They shall come with fear at the thought of their sins, and their iniquities shall stand against them to convict them.
Wisd KJV 4:20
Wisd CzeCEP 4:20
Wisd CzeCSP 4:20
Wisd CzeBKR 4:20
Wisd VulgClem 4:20  Venient in cogitatione peccatorum suorum timidi, et traducent illos ex adverso iniquitates ipsorum.
