Chapter 34
Ezek DRC 34:1  And the word of the Lord came to me, it saying:
Ezek VulgClem 34:1  Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens :
Ezek KJV 34:1  And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Ezek DRC 34:2  Son of man, prophesy concerning the shepherds of Israel: prophesy, and say to the shepherds: Thus saith the Lord God: Woe to the shepherds of Israel, that fed themselves: should not the flocks be fed by the shepherds?
Ezek VulgClem 34:2  Fili hominis, propheta de pastoribus Israël : propheta, et dices pastoribus : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Væ pastoribus Israël, qui pascebant semetipsos ! nonne greges a pastoribus pascuntur ?
Ezek KJV 34:2  Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
Ezek DRC 34:3  You ate the milk, and you clothed yourselves with the wool, and you killed that which was fat: but my flock you did not feed.
Ezek KJV 34:3  Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.
Ezek DRC 34:4  The weak you have not strengthened, and that which was sick you have not healed, that which was broken you have not bound up, and that which was driven away you have not brought again, neither have you sought that which was lost: but you ruled over them with rigour, and with a high hand.
Ezek KJV 34:4  The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
Ezek DRC 34:5  And my sheep were scattered, because there was no shepherd and they became the prey of all the beasts of the field, and were scattered.
Ezek KJV 34:5  And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
Ezek DRC 34:6  My sheep have wandered in every mountain, and in every high hill: and my flocks were scattered upon the face of the earth, and there was none that sought them, there was none, I say, that sought them.
Ezek KJV 34:6  My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.
Ezek DRC 34:7  Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:
Ezek VulgClem 34:7  Propterea, pastores, audite verbum Domini.
Ezek KJV 34:7  Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord;
Ezek DRC 34:8  As I live, saith the Lord God, forasmuch as my flocks have been made a spoil, and my sheep are become a prey to all the beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd: for my shepherds did not seek after my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flocks:
Ezek VulgClem 34:8  Vivo ego, dicit Dominus Deus, quia pro eo quod facti sunt greges mei in rapinam, et oves meæ in devorationem omnium bestiarum agri, eo quod non esset pastor : neque enim quæsierunt pastores mei gregem meum, sed pascebant pastores semetipsos, et greges meos non pascebant :
Ezek KJV 34:8  As I live, saith the Lord God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
Ezek DRC 34:9  Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:
Ezek VulgClem 34:9  propterea, pastores, audite verbum Domini.
Ezek KJV 34:9  Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the Lord;
Ezek DRC 34:10  Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I myself come upon the shepherds, I will require my flock at their hand, and I will cause them to cease from feeding the flock any more, neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more: and I will deliver my flock from their mouth, and it shall no more be meat for them.
Ezek KJV 34:10  Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
Ezek DRC 34:11  For thus saith the Lord God: Behold I myself will seek my sheep, and will visit them.
Ezek VulgClem 34:11  Quia hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego ipse requiram oves meas, et visitabo eas.
Ezek KJV 34:11  For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
Ezek DRC 34:12  As the shepherd visiteth his flock in the day when he shall be in the midst of his sheep that were scattered, so will I visit my sheep, and will deliver them out of all the places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
Ezek VulgClem 34:12  Sicut visitat pastor gregem suum, in die quando fuerit in medio ovium suarum dissipatarum, sic visitabo oves meas, et liberabo eas de omnibus locis in quibus dispersæ fuerant in die nubis et caliginis.
Ezek KJV 34:12  As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
Ezek DRC 34:13  And I will bring them out from the peoples, and will gather them out of the countries, and will bring them to their own land: and I will feed them in the mountains of Israel, by the rivers, and in all the habitations of the land.
Ezek VulgClem 34:13  Et educam eas de populis, et congregabo eas de terris, et inducam eas in terram suam, et pascam eas in montibus Israël, in rivis, et in cunctis sedibus terræ.
Ezek KJV 34:13  And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
Ezek DRC 34:14  I will feed them in the most fruitful pastures, and their pastures shall be in the high mountains of Israel: there shall they rest on the green grass, and be fed in fat pastures upon the mountains of Israel.
Ezek VulgClem 34:14  In pascuis uberrimis pascam eas, et in montibus excelsis Israël erunt pascua earum : ibi requiescent in herbis virentibus, et in pascuis pinguibus pascentur super montes Israël.
Ezek KJV 34:14  I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
Ezek DRC 34:15  I will feed my sheep: and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.
Ezek VulgClem 34:15  Ego pascam oves meas, et ego eas accubare faciam, dicit Dominus Deus.
Ezek KJV 34:15  I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.
Ezek DRC 34:16  I will seek that which was lost: and that which was driven away, I will bring again: and I will bind up that which was broken, and I will strengthen that which was weak, and that which was fat and strong I will preserve, and I will feed them in judgment.
Ezek KJV 34:16  I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
Ezek DRC 34:17  And as for you, O my flocks, thus saith the Lord God: Behold I judge between cattle and cattle, of rams and of he goats.
Ezek KJV 34:17  And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.
Ezek DRC 34:18  Was it not enough for you to feed upon good pastures? but you must also tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures: and when you drank the clearest water, you troubled the rest with your feet.
Ezek VulgClem 34:18  Nonne satis vobis erat pascua bona depasci ? insuper et reliquias pascuarum vestrarum conculcastis pedibus vestris : et cum purissimam aquam biberetis, reliquam pedibus vestris turbabatis :
Ezek KJV 34:18  Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
Ezek DRC 34:19  And my sheep were fed with that which you had trodden with your feet: and they drank what your feet had troubled.
Ezek VulgClem 34:19  et oves meæ his quæ conculcata pedibus vestris fuerant, pascebantur : et quæ pedes vestri turbaverant, hæc bibebant.
Ezek KJV 34:19  And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.
Ezek DRC 34:20  Therefore thus saith the Lord God to you: Behold, I myself will judge between the fat cattle and the lean.
Ezek KJV 34:20  Therefore thus saith the Lord God unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
Ezek DRC 34:21  Because you thrusted with sides and shoulders, and struck all the weak cattle with your horns, till they were scattered abroad:
Ezek VulgClem 34:21  pro eo quod lateribus et humeris impingebatis, et cornibus vestris ventilabatis omnia infirma pecora, donec dispergerentur foras,
Ezek KJV 34:21  Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;
Ezek DRC 34:22  I will save my flock, and it shall be no more a spoil, and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
Ezek KJV 34:22  Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
Ezek DRC 34:23  And I WILL SET UP ONE SHEPHERD OVER THEM, and he shall feed them, even my servant David: he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
Ezek VulgClem 34:23  Et suscitabo super eas pastorem unum qui pascat eas, servum meum David : ipse pascet eas, et ipse erit eis in pastorem.
Ezek KJV 34:23  And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
Ezek DRC 34:24  And I the Lord will be their God: and my servant David the prince in the midst of them: I the Lord have spoken it.
Ezek VulgClem 34:24  Ego autem Dominus ero eis in Deum, et servus meus David princeps in medio eorum : ego Dominus locutus sum.
Ezek KJV 34:24  And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.
Ezek DRC 34:25  And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they that dwell in the wilderness shall sleep secure in the forests.
Ezek KJV 34:25  And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
Ezek DRC 34:26  And I will make them a blessing round about my hill: and I will send down the rain in its season, there shall be showers of blessing.
Ezek VulgClem 34:26  Et ponam eos in circuitu collis mei benedictionem, et deducam imbrem in tempore suo : pluviæ benedictionis erunt.
Ezek KJV 34:26  And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
Ezek DRC 34:27  And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be in their land without fear: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have broken the bonds of their yoke, and shall have delivered them out of the hand of those that rule over them.
Ezek KJV 34:27  And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
Ezek DRC 34:28  And they shall be no more for a spoil to the nations, neither shall the beasts of the earth devour them: but they shall dwell securely without, any terror.
Ezek VulgClem 34:28  Et non erunt ultra in rapinam in gentibus, neque bestiæ terræ devorabunt eos : sed habitabunt confidenter absque ullo terrore.
Ezek KJV 34:28  And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
Ezek DRC 34:29  And I will raise up for them a bud of renown: and they shall be no more consumed with famine in the land, neither shall they bear any more the reproach of the Gentiles.
Ezek KJV 34:29  And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
Ezek DRC 34:30  And they shall know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they are my people the house of Israel: saith the Lord God.
Ezek VulgClem 34:30  Et scient quia ego Dominus Deus eorum cum eis, et ipsi populus meus domus Israël, ait Dominus Deus.
Ezek KJV 34:30  Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord God.
Ezek DRC 34:31  And you my flocks, the flocks of my pasture are men: and I am the Lord your God, saith the Lord God.
Ezek VulgClem 34:31  Vos autem, greges mei, greges pascuæ meæ, homines estis : et ego Dominus Deus vester, dicit Dominus Deus.
Ezek KJV 34:31  And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.
