3:1  Behold what manner of charity the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called and should be the sons of God. Therefore the world knoweth not us, because it knew not him.

3:1  Hleďte, jak velikou lásku nám Otec daroval: byli jsme nazváni dětmi Božími, a jsme jimi. Proto jsme světu cizí, že nepoznal Boha.

3:1  Pohleďte, jakou láskou nás Otec zahrnul: smíme se nazývat Božími dětmi – a také jimi jsme! Proto nás svět nezná, že nepoznal jeho.
