10:1  And Achab had seventy sons in Samaria: so Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the chief men of the city, and to the ancients, and to them that brought up Achab's children, saying:

10:5  Therefore they that were over the king's house, and the rulers of the city, and the ancients, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying: We are thy servants: whatsoever thou shalt command us we will do; we will not make us any king: do thou all that pleaseth thee.

10:5  And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.

10:5  Správce domu a správce města i starší a vychovatelé vzkázali tedy Jehúovi: „Jsme tvými služebníky a uděláme všechno, co nám poručíš. Za krále nedosadíme nikoho, udělej, co uznáš za dobré.“

10:5  Správce paláce i správce města se stařešiny a vychovateli proto Jehuovi vzkázali: „Jsme tvoji služebníci! Uděláme, cokoli nám řekneš. Nikoho za krále nedosadíme. Uděláme, co budeš chtít.“

10:5  Proto ten, kdo byl nad domem, i ten , kdo byl nad městem, starší i vychovatelé vzkázali Jehúovi: Jsme tvoji otroci a všechno, co nám řekneš, uděláme. Neustanovíme si nikoho králem, dělej, co je ⌈ti libo.⌉

10:5  A tak poslal ten, kterýž byl ustanoven nad domem, a kterýž ustanoven byl nad městem, i starší, a kteříž chovali syny Achabovy, k Jéhu, řkouce: Služebníci tvoji jsme, a všecko, což nám rozkážeš, učiníme. Neustanovíme žádného krále; což se tobě dobře líbí, učiň.

10:5  And he that [was] over the house, and he that [was] over the city, the elders also, and those who brought up [the children], sent to Jehu, saying, We [are] thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou [that which is] good in thy eyes.

10:6  And he wrote letters the second time to them, saying: If you be mine, and will obey me, take the heads of the sons of your master, and come to me to Jezrahel by tomorrow at this time. Now the king's sons, being seventy men, were brought up with the chief men of the city.

10:6  Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads of the men your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time. 10:6  Napsal jim druhý dopis: „Jste-li se mnou a chcete-li mě poslouchat, vezměte hlavy všech synů svého pána a přijďte ke mně zítra v tuto dobu do Jizreelu!“ Králových synů bylo sedmdesát, byli u významných lidí města a ti je vychovávali.

10:6  Napsal jim tedy druhý list: „Jestli jste se mnou a chcete mě poslouchat, vezměte hlavy všech synů svého pána a přijďte zítra touto dobou za mnou do Jizreelu.“ Oněch sedmdesát královských synů vyrůstalo u předních mužů města, kteří se o ně starali.

10:8  Posel přišel a oznámil mu: „Přinesli hlavy králových synů.“ Jehú nařídil: „Složte je na dvě hromady u vchodu do brány, budou tam až do rána.“

10:9  And when it was light, he went out, and standing, said to all the people: You are just: if I conspired against my master, and slew him; who hath slain all these?

10:9  And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

10:9  Ráno vyšel, zastavil se a řekl všemu lidu: „Vy jste spravedliví. Ano, já jsem se spikl proti svému pánu a zabil jsem ho. Kdo však pobil všechny tyto?

10:9  Ráno pak vyšel ven, postavil se před lid a promluvil k nim: „Tak vy jste spravedliví. Ano, já jsem zosnoval spiknutí proti svému pánu a zabil jsem ho. Kdo ale povraždil všechny tyhle?!

10:9  I stalo se ráno, že vyšel, postavil se a řekl všemu lidu: Jste nevinní. Hle, já jsem se spikl proti svému pánu a zabil jsem ho. Ale kdo zabil všechny tyto?

10:9  Potom ráno vyšed, postavil se a řekl všemu lidu: Spravedliví jste vy. Aj, já spuntoval jsem se proti pánu svému a zabil jsem jej; kdo by pobil tyto všecky?

10:9  And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye [are] righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

10:9  It happened in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, "You are righteous. Behold, I conspired against my master, and killed him; but who struck all these?

10:9  And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, You be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

10:9  Cumque diluxisset, egressus est, et stans dixit ad omnem populum : Justi estis : si ego conjuravi contra dominum meum et interfeci eum, quis percussit omnes hos ?

10:10  See therefore now that there hath not fallen to the ground any of the words of the Lord, which the Lord spoke concerning the house of Achab, and the Lord hath done that which he spoke in the hand of his servant Elias.

10:10  Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the Lord, which the Lord spake concerning the house of Ahab: for the Lord hath done that which he spake by his servant Elijah.

10:10  Z toho můžete poznat, že nic z Hospodinova slova, které Hospodin promluvil proti Achabovu domu, nepadlo na zem. Hospodin vykonal, o čem mluvil skrze svého služebníka Elijáše.“

10:10  Proto vězte, že ani jediné slovo, které Hospodin vyřkl proti domu Achabovu, neselže. Hospodin vykonal, co řekl skrze svého služebníka Eliáše!“

10:10  Uznejte tedy, že nic z Hospodinova slova, které Hospodin promluvil proti domu Achabovu, nepadlo na zem. Hospodin učinil, jak promluvil prostřednictvím svého otroka Elijáše.

10:10  Věztež nyní, žeť nepochybilo nižádné slovo Hospodinovo, kteréž mluvil Hospodin proti domu Achabovu, ale vykonal Hospodin to, což byl mluvil skrze služebníka svého Eliáše.

10:13  Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.

10:13  I nalezl Jehú bratry judského krále Achazjáše a otázal se: „Kdo jste?“ Oni odpověděli: „Jsme Achazjášovi bratři. Přišli jsme popřát pokoj synům krále a synům paní.“

10:13  narazil tam na příbuzné judského krále Achaziáše. „Kdo jste?“ zeptal se. „Jsme Achaziášovi příbuzní. Jdeme pozdravit syny krále a syny královny matky.“

10:13  potkal Jehú bratry judského krále Achazjáše. Zeptal se: Kdo jste? Odpověděli: Jsme Achazjášovi bratři a přišli jsme ⌈se zeptat, jak se daří⌉ synům krále a synům královny.

10:13  I nalezl tam Jéhu bratří Ochoziáše, krále Judského, a řekl: Kdo jste vy? Odpověděli: Jsme bratří Ochoziášovi a jdeme, abychom pozdravili synů králových a synů královny.

10:13  Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who [are] ye? And they answered, We [are] the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.

10:14  And he said: Take them alive. And they took them alive, and killed them at the pit by the cabin, two and forty men, and he left not any of them.

10:14  Jehú rozkázal: „Pochytejte je živé.“ I chytili je živé a pobili u cisterny v Bét-ekedu, dvaačtyřicet mužů. Žádného z nich neponechali.

10:14  „Zajměte je živé!“ rozkázal Jehu. Zajali je tedy živé a všech dvaačtyřicet jich pak pobili u bet-ekedské nádrže. Nikoho neušetřil.

10:14  Řekl: Chyťte je živé. Chytili je živé a pobili je v jámě u Bét–ekedu, čtyřicet dva mužů; nikoho z nich neponechali.

10:15  And when he was departed thence, he found Jonadab, the son of Rechab, coming to meet him, and he blessed him. And he said to him: Is thy heart right as my heart is with thy heart? And Jonadab said: It is. If it be, said he, give me thy hand. He gave him his hand. And he lifted him up to him into the chariot,

10:15  And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart?
