REVELATION OF JOHN
Chapter 2
Reve | Murdock | 2:1 | To the angel of the church which is at Ephesus write: These things saith he who holdeth all things, and the seven stars, in his right hand; he that walketh in the midst of the seven candlesticks of gold;
Reve | Murdock | 2:2 |
I know thy works, and thy toil, and thy patience, and
Reve | Murdock | 2:3 | And thou hast had patience, and hast borne the burden, on account of my name, and hast not fainted.
Reve | Murdock | 2:4 |
Yet I have | |
Reve | Murdock | 2:5 | Therefore remember whence thou hast fallen; and repent, and do the former works: or if not, I will come to thee quickly, and I will remove thy candlestick from its place, except thou repent.
Reve | Murdock | 2:6 |
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also
Reve | Murdock | 2:7 | He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him who is victorious, will I give to eat of the tree of life which is in the paradise of my God.
Reve | Murdock | 2:8 | And to the angel of the church which is at Smyrna, write: These things saith the First and the Last, he who was dead, and liveth.
Reve | Murdock | 2:9 | I know thy works, and the affliction, and the poverty, (yet thou art rich ;) and the railing which is from them who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are of the congregation of Satan.
Reve | Murdock | 2:10 | Be not terrified at any of the things thou art to suffer. For lo, the Accuser will throw some of you into custody, that ye may be tried; and there will be trouble to you ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.
Reve | Murdock | 2:11 | He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. He that is victorious, shall not be harmed by the second death.
Reve | Murdock | 2:12 | And to the angel of the church at Pergamos, write: Thus saith he who hath the sharp two-edged sword;
Reve | Murdock | 2:13 |
I know thy works, and where thou dwellest,
Reve | Murdock | 2:14 |
Yet I have a small | |
Reve | Murdock | 2:15 | So also thou hast them who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans. In like manner, repent thou.
Reve | Murdock | 2:16 | Or if not, I will come to thee quickly, and I will war upon them with the sword of my mouth.
Reve | Murdock | 2:17 | He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that is victorious, will I give to eat of the hidden manna; and I will give him a white counter, and upon the counter a new name written, which no one knoweth but he that receiveth it.
Reve | Murdock | 2:18 | And to the angel of the church at Thyatira, write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass:
Reve | Murdock | 2:19 | I know thy works, and love, and faith, and service, and also thy patience; and that these thy latter works are more than the former.
Reve | Murdock | 2:20 |
But I have | |
Reve | Murdock | 2:21 | And I gave her a season for repentance, and she is not disposed to repent of her whoredom.
Reve | Murdock | 2:22 | Behold, I will cast her upon a bed, and them who commit adultery with her into great affliction, unless they repent of their deeds.
Reve | Murdock | 2:23 | And her children will I slay with death: and all the churches shall know, that I am he who searcheth reins and hearts; and I will render to each of you according to your works.
Reve | Murdock | 2:24 | And I say to you, to the rest that are in Thyatira, to all them who have not received this doctrine, the men who have not known the profound things of Satan, as they say; I lay no other burden upon you:
Reve | Murdock | 2:26 | And to him that is victorious, and to him that observeth my works unto the end, to him will I give authority, over the nations;
Reve | Murdock | 2:27 | and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and like vessels of pottery, shall they be broken: as I also have received of my Father.
