13:1  Thus saith the Lord to me: Go, and get thee a linen girdle, and thou shalt put it about thy loins, and shalt not put it into water.

13:6  Po mnoha dnech mi pak Hospodin řekl: „Vstaň, jdi k Pratu a vezmi odtud onen pás, který jsem ti tam přikázal schovat.“

13:6  Po mnoha dnech se stalo, že mi Hospodin řekl: Vstaň, jdi k Para a vezmi odtamtud pás, který jsem ti přikázal tam skrýt.

13:6  Stalo se pak po přeběhnutí dnů mnohých, že řekl Hospodin ke mně: Vstana, jdi k Eufrates, a vezmi odtud ten pás, kterýžť jsem přikázal skrýti tam.

13:7  Šel jsem tedy k Eufratu a vyhrabal jsem pás z místa, kam jsem jej ukryl. A hle, pás byl zničen, k ničemu se nehodil.

13:7  Šel jsem tedy k Pratu na místo, kde jsem pás předtím schoval, vyhrabal jsem ho, a hle – pás byl plesnivý a úplně na nic.

13:10  This wicked people, that will not hear my words, and that walk in the perverseness of their heart, and have gone after strange gods to serve them, and to adore them: and they shall be as this girdle ,which is fit for no use.

13:10  Tento zlý lid, který se vzpírá slyšet má slova a žije si podle svého zarputilého srdce, chodí za jinými bohy, slouží jim a klaní se jim, bude jako tento pás, který se k ničemu nehodí.

13:11  For as the girdle sticketh close to the loins of a man, so have I brought close to me all the house of Israel, and all the house of Juda, saith the Lord: that they might be my people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

13:11  Jako pás přilne k bedrům muže, tak jsem k sobě přimkl celý dům izraelský a dům judský, je výrok Hospodinův, aby se mi stali lidem, jménem, chválou a oslavou. Ale neuposlechli.“

13:11  Jako se pás ovíjí kolem lidských beder, tak jsem k sobě přivinul celý dům Izraele a celý dům Judy, praví Hospodin. Chtěl jsem, aby byli mým lidem, mým věhlasem, chválou a ozdobou, oni však neposlouchali.“

13:12  Proto jim vyřídíš toto slovo: „Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Každý měch se plní vínem. Namítnou ti: ‚Cožpak nevíme, že se každý měch plní vínem?‘

13:12  „Vyřiď jim tato slova. Tak praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Každý džbán se plní vínem. Když ti namítnou: ‚Copak nevíme, že se každý džbán plní vínem?‘

13:12  Řekni jim toto slovo: Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Každý džbán bude naplněn vínem. Řeknou ti: Copak to nevíme, že každý džbán bude naplněn vínem?

13:12  Protož rci jim slovo toto: Takto praví Hospodin Bůh Izraelský: Všeliká nádoba vinná naplňována bývá vínem. Kdyžť pak řeknou: Zdaliž nevíme dobře, že všeliká nádoba vinná naplňována bývá vínem?

13:14  a roztříštím je jednoho o druhého, otce i syny, je výrok Hospodinův; budu bez soucitu, bez lítosti a bez slitování, až je budu ničit.“

13:14  Roztříštím je jedny o druhé, rodiče i děti, praví Hospodin. Nebudu mít soucit ani slitování, nesmiluji se, dokud je nezničím.“

13:16  Vzdejte slávu Hospodinu, svému Bohu, dříve než způsobí tmu, dříve než nohama narazíte o zšeřelé hory. S nadějí se upínáte k světlu, ale on učinil z něho šero smrti, obestřel je černým mračnem.

13:17  Jestliže o tom nechcete slyšet, vskrytu bude plakat má duše kvůli vaší povýšenosti, slzy mi proudem potečou z očí, až bude Hospodinovo stádce vedeno do zajetí.
