Chapter 32
Job DRC 32:1  So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he seemed just to himself.
Job VulgClem 32:1  Omiserunt autem tres viri isti respondere Job, eo quod justus sibi videretur.
Job KJV 32:1  So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Job DRC 32:2  And Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite of the kindred of Ram, was angry and was moved to indignation: now he was angry against Job, because he said he was just before God.
Job KJV 32:2  Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
Job DRC 32:3  And he was angry with his friends, because they had not found a reasonable answer, but only had condemned Job.
Job KJV 32:3  Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
Job DRC 32:4  So Eliu waited while Job was speaking because they were his elders that were speaking.
Job KJV 32:4  Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.
Job DRC 32:5  But when he saw that the three were not able to answer, he was exceedingly angry.
Job KJV 32:5  When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
Job DRC 32:6  Then Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered, and said: I am younger in days, and you are more ancient, therefore hanging down my head, I was afraid to shew you my opinion.
Job VulgClem 32:6  Respondensque Eliu filius Barachel Buzites, dixit : Junior sum tempore, vos autem antiquiores : idcirco, demisso capite, veritus sum vobis indicare meam sententiam.
Job KJV 32:6  And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
Job DRC 32:7  For I hoped that greater age would speak, and that a multitude of years would teach wisdom.
Job KJV 32:7  I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
Job DRC 32:8  But, as I see, there is a spirit in men, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth understanding.
Job KJV 32:8  But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
Job DRC 32:9  They that are aged are not the wise men, neither do the ancients understand judgment.
Job KJV 32:9  Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
Job DRC 32:10  Therefore I will speak: Hearken to me, I also will shew you my wisdom.
Job VulgClem 32:10  Ideo dicam : Audite me : ostendam vobis etiam ego meam sapientiam.
Job KJV 32:10  Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.
Job DRC 32:11  For I have waited for your words, I have given ear to your wisdom, as long as you were disputing in words.
Job VulgClem 32:11  Expectavi enim sermones vestros ; audivi prudentiam vestram, donec disceptaremini sermonibus ;
Job KJV 32:11  Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
Job DRC 32:12  And as long as I thought you said some thing, I considered: but, as I see, there is none of you that can convince Job, and answer his words.
Job KJV 32:12  Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
Job DRC 32:13  Lest you should say: We have found wisdom, God hath cast him down, not man.
Job VulgClem 32:13  Ne forte dicatis : Invenimus sapientiam : Deus projecit eum, non homo.
Job KJV 32:13  Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
Job DRC 32:14  He hath spoken nothing to me, and I will not answer him according to your words.
Job KJV 32:14  Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
Job DRC 32:15  They were afraid, and answered no more, and they left off speaking.
Job VulgClem 32:15  Extimuerunt, nec responderunt ultra, abstuleruntque a se eloquia.
Job KJV 32:15  They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
Job DRC 32:16  Therefore because I have waited, and they have not spoken: they stood, and answered no more:
Job VulgClem 32:16  Quoniam igitur expectavi, et non sunt locuti : steterunt, nec ultra responderunt :
Job KJV 32:16  When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
Job DRC 32:17  I also will answer my part, and will shew my knowledge.
Job VulgClem 32:17  respondebo et ego partem meam, et ostendam scientiam meam.
Job KJV 32:17  I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.
Job DRC 32:18  For I am full of matter to speak of, and the spirit of my bowels straiteneth me.
Job VulgClem 32:18  Plenus sum enim sermonibus, et coarctat me spiritus uteri mei.
Job KJV 32:18  For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
Job DRC 32:19  Behold, my belly is as new wine which wanteth vent, which bursteth the new vessels.
Job VulgClem 32:19  En venter meus quasi mustum absque spiraculo, quod lagunculas novas disrumpit.
Job KJV 32:19  Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.
Job DRC 32:20  I will speak and take breath a little: I will open my lips, and will answer.
Job VulgClem 32:20  Loquar, et respirabo paululum : aperiam labia mea, et respondebo.
Job KJV 32:20  I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
Job DRC 32:21  I will not accept the person of man, and I will not level God with man.
Job KJV 32:21  Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
Job DRC 32:22  For I know not how long I shall continue, and whether after a while my Maker may take me away.
Job KJV 32:22  For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
