Chapter 18
Judg DRC 18:1  In those days there was no king in Israel, and the tribe of Dan sought them an inheritance to dwell in: for unto that day they had not received their lot among the other tribes.
Judg KJV 18:1  In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.
Judg Webster 18:1  In those days [there was] no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought for themselves an inheritance to dwell in; for to that day [all their] inheritance had not fallen to them among the tribes of Israel.
Judg NHEB 18:1  In those days there was no king in Israel. And in those days the tribe of the Danites was looking for an inheritance to dwell in; for to that day, their inheritance had not fallen to them among the tribes of Israel.
Judg AKJV 18:1  In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for to that day all their inheritance had not fallen to them among the tribes of Israel.
Judg DRC 18:2  So the children of Dan sent five most valiant men, of their stock and family, from Saraa and Esthaol, to spy out the land, and to view it diligently: and they said to them: Go, and view the land. They went on their way, and when they came to mount Ephraim, they went into the house of Michas, and rested there:
Judg KJV 18:2  And the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their coasts, men of valour, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said unto them, Go, search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there.
Řekli jim: Jděte a důkladně prohlédněte tu zemi. Přišli do efrajimského pohoří až k Míkovu domu a nocovali tam.
Judg CzeBKR 18:2  Tedy poslali synové Dan z čeledi své pět mužů z končin svých, mužů silných z Zaraha a Estaol, aby spatřili zemi a pilně prohlédli ji, a řekli jim: Jděte, shlédněte zemi. Kteřížto když přišli na horu Efraim až do domu Míchova, přenocovali tam.
Judg Webster 18:2  And the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their borders, men of valor, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to explore the land, and to search it; and they said to them, Go, search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there.
Judg NHEB 18:2  The children of Dan sent of their family five men from their whole number, men of valor, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said to them, "Go, explore the land!" They came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and stayed there.
Judg AKJV 18:2  And the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their coasts, men of valor, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said to them, Go, search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there.
Judg DRC 18:3  And knowing the voice of the young man the Levite, and lodging with him, they said to him: Who brought thee hither? what dost thou here? why wouldst thou come hither?
Judg KJV 18:3  When they were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and said unto him, Who brought thee hither? and what makest thou in this place? and what hast thou here?
Judg Webster 18:3  When they [were] by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and said to him, Who brought thee hither? and what makest thou in this [place]? and what hast thou here?
Judg NHEB 18:3  When they were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite; and they turned in that direction, and said to him, "Who brought you here? What are you doing in this place? And what is your business here?"
Judg AKJV 18:3  When they were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and said to him, Who brought you here? and what make you in this place? and what have you here?
Judg VulgClem 18:3  et agnoscentes vocem adolescentis Levitæ, utentesque illius diversorio, dixerunt ad eum : Quis te huc adducit ? quid hic agis ? quam ob causam huc venire voluisti ?
Judg DRC 18:4  He answered them: Michas hath done such and such things for me, and hath hired me to be his priest.
Judg KJV 18:4  And he said unto them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and I am his priest.
Judg Webster 18:4  And he said to them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and I am his priest.
Judg NHEB 18:4  He said to them, "Thus and so has Micah dealt with me, and he has hired me, and I have become his priest."
Judg AKJV 18:4  And he said to them, Thus and thus deals Micah with me, and has hired me, and I am his priest.
Judg DRC 18:5  Then they desired him to consult the Lord, that they might know whether their journey should be prosperous, and the thing should have effect.
Judg KJV 18:5  And they said unto him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.
Judg Webster 18:5  And they said to him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.
Judg NHEB 18:5  They said to him, "Please ask counsel of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous."
Judg AKJV 18:5  And they said to him, Ask counsel, we pray you, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.
Judg DRC 18:6  He answered them: Go in peace: the Lord looketh on your way, and the journey that you go.
Judg KJV 18:6  And the priest said unto them, Go in peace: before the Lord is your way wherein ye go.
Judg Webster 18:6  And the priest said to them, Go in peace: before the LORD [is] your way in which ye go.
Judg NHEB 18:6  The priest said to them, "Go in peace. The Lord will watch over you on your journey."

Judg VulgClem 18:6  Qui respondit eis : Ite in pace : Dominus respicit viam vestram, et iter quo pergitis.
Judg DRC 18:7  So the five men going on came to Lais: and they saw how the people dwelt therein without any fear, according to the custom of the Sidonians, secure and easy, having no man at all to oppose them, being very rich, and living separated, at a distance from Sidon and from all men.
Judg KJV 18:7  Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.
Judg CzeCEP 18:7  Těch pět mužů tedy šlo dál, až přišli do Lajiše.
Judg Webster 18:7  Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that [were] in it, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and [there was] no magistrate in the land, that might put [them] to shame in [any] thing; and they [were] far from the Zidonians, and had no business with [any] man.
Judg NHEB 18:7  Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people who were there, and how they lived in security, after the manner of the Sidonians, quiet and secure; for there was no one in the land possessing authority that might trouble them in anyway, and they were far from the Sidonians, and had no dealings with anyone.
Judg AKJV 18:7  Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelled careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.
Judg VulgClem 18:7  Euntes igitur quinque viri venerunt Lais : videruntque populum habitantem in ea absque ullo timore, juxta consuetudinem Sidoniorum, securum et quietum, nullo ei penitus resistente, magnarumque opum, et procul a Sidone atque a cunctis hominibus separatum.
Judg DRC 18:8  And they returned to their brethren in Saraa and Esthaol, who asked them what they had done: to whom they answered:
Judg KJV 18:8  And they came unto their brethren to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brethren said unto them, What say ye?
Judg Webster 18:8  And they came to their brethren to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brethren said to them, What [say] ye?
Judg NHEB 18:8  They came to their brothers to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brothers said to them, "What do you say?"
Judg AKJV 18:8  And they came to their brothers to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brothers said to them, What say you?
Judg DRC 18:9  Arise, and let us go up to them: for we have seen the land which is exceeding rich and fruitful: neglect not, lose no time: let us go and possess it, there will be no difficulty.
Judg KJV 18:9  And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
Judg CzeCEP 18:9  Odpověděli: „Vzhůru, vytáhněme proti nim! Viděli jsme tu zemi, je velmi dobrá. Vy otálíte? Nerozpakujte se tam vtrhnout a tu zemi obsadit.
Judg CzeB21 18:9  „Zvedejte se, pojďme na ně!“ odpověděli. „Viděli jsme tu zem – je výborná! To tu chcete jen tak sedět? Nezdržujte se a pojďte, půjdeme tu zem obsadit!
Judg CzeCSP 18:9  Odpověděli: Vstaňte a vytáhneme proti nim, protože jsme viděli tu zemi a hle, je velmi dobrá, ale vy jste neteční. Nebuďte líní jít, vstoupit do té země a obsadit ji.
Judg CzeBKR 18:9  I odpověděli: Vstaňte a táhněme na ně, nebo shlédli jsme tu zemi, a aj, velmi dobrá jest; a vy mlčíte? Nelenujtež se táhnouti, a vjíti k opanování té země.
Judg Webster 18:9  And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and behold, it [is] very good: and [are] ye still? be not slothful to go, [and] to enter to possess the land.
Judg NHEB 18:9  They said, "Arise, and let us go up against them; for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very good. Will you do nothing? Do not hesitate to go and to enter in to possess the land.
Judg AKJV 18:9  And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are you still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
Judg DRC 18:10  We shall come to a people that is secure, into a spacious country, and the Lord will deliver the place to us, in which there is no want of any thing that groweth on the earth.
Judg KJV 18:10  When ye go, ye shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.
Judg CzeB21 18:10  Bůh vám ji dává do rukou! Až tam přijdete, najdete bezstarostný lid a doširoka otevřenou zem.
Judg Webster 18:10  When ye go, ye shall come to a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where [there] is no want of any thing that [is] on the earth.
Judg NHEB 18:10  When you go, you shall come to a secure people, and the land is large; for God has given it into your hand, a place where there is no want of anything that is on the earth."
Judg AKJV 18:10  When you go, you shall come to a people secure, and to a large land: for God has given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.
Judg VulgClem 18:10  Intrabimus ad securos, in regionem latissimam, tradetque nobis Dominus locum, in quo nullius rei est penuria eorum quæ gignuntur in terra.
Judg DRC 18:11  There went therefore of the kindred of Dan, to wit, from Saraa and Esthaol, six hundred men, furnished with arms for war.
Judg KJV 18:11  And there went from thence of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men appointed with weapons of war.
Judg CzeCEP 18:11  Tak vyrazilo odtamtud z čeledi Danovců, ze Soreje a Eštaólu, šest set válečně vyzbrojených mužů.
Judg CzeB21 18:11  A tak z Coreje a Eštaolu vyrazilo šest set mužů z Danova rodu v plné zbroji.
Judg CzeCSP 18:11  I vyrazilo odtamtud z danovské čeledi, ze Soreje a z Eštaólu, šest set mužů, přepásaných válečnými zbraněmi.
Judg CzeBKR 18:11  Tedy vyšlo z čeledi Dan odtud, totiž z Zaraha a Estaol, šest set mužů oděných v odění válečné.
Judg Webster 18:11  And there went from thence of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men appointed with weapons of war.
Judg NHEB 18:11  Then the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men armed with weapons of war, set forth from there.
Judg AKJV 18:11  And there went from there of the family of the Danites, out of Zorah and out of Eshtaol, six hundred men appointed with weapons of war.
Judg DRC 18:12  And going up they lodged in Cariathiarim of Juda: which place from that time is called the camp of Dan, and is behind Cariathiarim.
Judg KJV 18:12  And they went up, and pitched in Kirjath–jearim, in Judah: wherefore they called that place Mahaneh–dan unto this day: behold, it is behind Kirjath–jearim.
Judg Webster 18:12  And they went up, and encamped in Kirjath-jearim, in Judah: wherefore they called that place Mahaneh-dan to this day: behold, [it is] behind Kirjath-jearim.
Judg NHEB 18:12  They went up, and encamped in Kiriath Jearim, in Judah. Therefore they called that place Mahaneh Dan to this day; behold, it is behind Kiriath Jearim.
Judg AKJV 18:12  And they went up, and pitched in Kirjathjearim, in Judah: why they called that place Mahanehdan to this day: behold, it is behind Kirjathjearim.
Judg DRC 18:13  From thence they passed into mount Ephraim. And when they were come to the house of Michas,
Judg KJV 18:13  And they passed thence unto mount Ephraim, and came unto the house of Micah.
Judg CzeCEP 18:13  Odtud se ubírali přes Efrajimské pohoří, až došli k Míkovu domu.
Judg CzeB21 18:13  Odtamtud pak šli do Efraimských hor a dorazili až k Míkovu domu.
Judg CzeCSP 18:13  Odtamtud prošli efrajimským pohořím a přišli až k Míkovu domu.
Judg CzeBKR 18:13  A odtud táhnouce na horu Efraim, přišli až k domu Míchovu.
Judg Webster 18:13  And they passed thence to mount Ephraim, and came to the house of Micah.
Judg NHEB 18:13  They passed there to the hill country of Ephraim, and came to the house of Micah.
Judg AKJV 18:13  And they passed there to mount Ephraim, and came to the house of Micah.
Judg VulgClem 18:13  Inde transierunt in montem Ephraim. Cumque venissent ad domum Michæ,
Judg DRC 18:14  The five men, that before had been sent to view the land of Lais, said to the rest of their brethren: You know that in these houses there is an ephod and theraphim, and a graven and a molten god: see what you are pleased to do.
Judg KJV 18:14  Then answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto their brethren, Do ye know that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a graven image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what ye have to do.
„Efod, bůžkové a odlitá modla!
Judg CzeBKR 18:14  I mluvilo těch pět mužů, kteříž chodili k shlédnutí země Lais, a řekli bratřím svým: Víte-liž, že v domích těchto jest efod a terafim, a rytina a slitina? Protož nyní vězte, co máte činiti.
