Chapter 3
Colo DRC 3:1  Therefore if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God.
Colo VulgClem 3:1  Igitur, si consurrexistis cum Christo : quæ sursum sunt quærite, ubi Christus est in dextera Dei sedens :
Colo KJV 3:1  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Colo DRC 3:2  Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth.
Colo VulgClem 3:2  quæ sursum sunt sapite, non quæ super terram.
Colo KJV 3:2  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Colo DRC 3:3  For you are dead: and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Colo DRC 3:4  When Christ shall appear, who is your life, then you also shall appear with him in glory.

Colo KJV 3:4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Colo DRC 3:5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, lust, evil concupiscence and covetousness, which is the service of idols.
Colo VulgClem 3:5  Mortificate ergo membra vestra, quæ sunt super terram : fornicationem, immunditiam, libidinem, concupiscentiam malam, et avaritiam, quæ est simulacrorum servitus :
Colo KJV 3:5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Colo DRC 3:6  For which things the wrath of God cometh upon the children of unbelief.

Colo KJV 3:6  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Colo DRC 3:7  In which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.

Colo DRC 3:8  But now put you also all away: anger, indignation, malice, blasphemy, filthy speech out of your mouth.
Colo VulgClem 3:8  Nunc autem deponite et vos omnia : iram, indignationem, malitiam, blasphemiam, turpem sermonem de ore vestro.
Colo KJV 3:8  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Colo DRC 3:9  Lie not one to another: stripping yourselves of the old man with his deeds,
Colo VulgClem 3:9  Nolite mentiri invicem, expoliantes vos veterem hominem cum actibus suis,
Colo KJV 3:9  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Colo DRC 3:10  And putting on the new, him who is renewed unto knowledge, according to the image of him that created him.
Colo VulgClem 3:10  et induentes novum eum, qui renovatur in agnitionem secundum imaginem ejus qui creavit illum :
Colo KJV 3:10  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Colo DRC 3:11  Where there is neither Gentile nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian nor Scythian, bond nor free. But Christ is all and in all.
Colo VulgClem 3:11  ubi non est gentilis et Judæus, circumcisio et præputium, Barbarus et Scytha, servus et liber : sed omnia, et in omnibus Christus.
Colo KJV 3:11  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Colo DRC 3:12  Put ye on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, the bowels of mercy, benignity, humility, modesty, patience:
Colo VulgClem 3:12  Induite vos ergo, sicut electi Dei, sancti, et dilecti, viscera misericordiæ, benignitatem, humilitatem, modestiam, patientiam :
Colo KJV 3:12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Colo DRC 3:13  Bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against another. Even as the Lord hath forgiven you, so do you also.
Colo VulgClem 3:13  supportantes invicem, et donantes vobismetipsis si quis adversus aliquem habet querelam : sicut et Dominus donavit vobis, ita et vos.
Colo KJV 3:13  Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colo DRC 3:14  But above all these things have charity, which is the bond of perfection.
Colo VulgClem 3:14  Super omnia autem hæc, caritatem habete, quod est vinculum perfectionis :

Colo DRC 3:15  And let the peace of Christ rejoice in your hearts, wherein also you are called in one body: and be ye thankful.
Colo VulgClem 3:15  et pax Christi exsultet in cordibus vestris, in qua et vocati estis in uno corpore : et grati estote.
Colo KJV 3:15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Colo DRC 3:16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly: in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual canticles, singing in grace in your hearts to God.
Colo VulgClem 3:16  Verbum Christi habitet in vobis abundanter, in omni sapientia, docentes, et commonentes vosmetipsos, psalmis, hymnis, et canticis spiritualibus, in gratia cantantes in cordibus vestris Deo.
Colo KJV 3:16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colo DRC 3:17  All whatsoever you do in word or in work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colo VulgClem 3:17  Omne, quodcumque facitis in verbo aut in opere, omnia in nomine Domini Jesu Christi, gratias agentes Deo et Patri per ipsum.
Colo KJV 3:17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colo DRC 3:18  Wives, be subject to your husbands, as it behoveth in the Lord.
Colo VulgClem 3:18  Mulieres, subditæ estote viris, sicut oportet, in Domino.
Colo KJV 3:18  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Colo DRC 3:19  Husbands, love your wives and be not bitter towards them.
Colo VulgClem 3:19  Viri, diligite uxores vestras, et nolite amari esse ad illas.

Colo DRC 3:20  Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord.

Colo DRC 3:21  Fathers, provoke not your children to indignation, lest they be discouraged.

Colo DRC 3:22  Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh: not serving to the eye, as pleasing men: but in simplicity of heart, fearing God.
Colo VulgClem 3:22  Servi, obedite per omnia dominis carnalibus, non ad oculum servientes, quasi hominibus placentes, sed in simplicitate cordis, timentes Deum.
Colo KJV 3:22  Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
Colo DRC 3:23  Whatsoever you do, do it from the heart, as to the Lord, and not to men:
Colo VulgClem 3:23  Quodcumque facitis, ex animo operamini sicut Domino, et non hominibus :
Colo KJV 3:23  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colo DRC 3:24  Knowing that you shall receive of the Lord the reward of inheritance. Serve ye the Lord Christ.
Colo VulgClem 3:24  scientes quod a Domino accipietis retributionem hæreditatis. Domino Christo servite.
Colo KJV 3:24  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colo DRC 3:25  For he that doth wrong shall receive for that which he hath done wrongfully. And there is no respect of persons with God.
Colo VulgClem 3:25  Qui enim injuriam facit, recipiet id quod inique gessit : et non est personarum acceptio apud Deum.
Colo KJV 3:25  But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
