RKJNT - Ephesians - 1

1:1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:

1:2  Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places:

1:4  Just as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him. In love

1:5  He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to his good pleasure and will,

1:6  To the praise of his glorious grace, which he freely bestowed upon us in the beloved.

1:7  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

1:8  Which he has lavished upon us in all wisdom and prudence;

1:9  Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he set forth in him:

1:10  That in the fulness of time he might gather all things together under Christ, both things which are in heaven, and things which are on earth. In him

1:11  We have also obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will:

1:12  That we who first trusted in Christ should live for the praise of his glory.

1:13  In him you also, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

1:14  Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession, to the praise of his glory.

1:15  Therefore, I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love for all the saints,

1:16  Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

1:18  That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened; so you may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

1:19  And what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe. It is the working of his mighty power,

1:20  Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

1:21  Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

1:22  And he has put all things under his feet, and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church,

1:23  Which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all things everywhere.
