12:1  And Samuel said to all Israel: Behold I have hearkened to your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you.

12:1  Samuel pak řekl celému Izraeli: „Hle, uposlechl jsem vás ve všem, oč jste mě žádali, a ustanovil jsem nad vámi krále.

12:1  Samuel tehdy promluvil ke všemu Izraeli: „Hleďte, poslechl jsem vás ve všem, co jste mi říkali, a ustanovil jsem nad vámi krále.

12:2  Nyní tedy hle, svůj úřad koná před vámi král. Já jsem zestárl a zešedivěl, i moji synové jsou tu s vámi. Svůj úřad jsem před vámi konal od svého mládí až dodnes.

12:2  Teď vás tedy povede král. Já už jsem starý a šedivý a moji synové jsou mezi vámi. Vedl jsem vás od svého mládí až dodnes.

12:2  And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am old and gray-headed; and behold, my sons [are] with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood to this day.

12:2  Et nunc rex graditur ante vos : ego autem senui, et incanui : porro filii mei vobiscum sunt : itaque conversatus coram vobis ab adolescentia mea usque ad hanc diem, ecce præsto sum.

12:3  Speak of me before the Lord, and before his anointed, whether I have taken any man's ox, or ass: if I have wronged any man, if I have oppressed any man, if I have taken a bribe at any man's hand: and I will despise it this day, and will restore it to you.

12:3  Behold, here I am: witness against me before the Lord, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

12:3  Tu jsem. Vypovídejte proti mně před Hospodinem i před jeho pomazaným, zdali jsem vzal někomu býka či osla, zdali jsem někoho vydíral a někomu křivdil, zdali jsem od někoho vzal úplatek a nad něčím přivřel oči, a já vám to nahradím.“

12:3  Tady jsem. Odpovězte mi před Hospodinem a před jeho pomazaným: Vzal jsem někomu býka? Vzal jsem někomu osla? Ukřivdil jsem někomu? Ublížil jsem někomu? Vzal jsem od někoho úplatek, abych nad něčím přimhouřil oko? Pokud ano, nahradím vám to.“

12:3  Zde jsem. Vypovídejte proti mně před Hospodinem a před jeho pomazaným. Komu jsem vzal býka či komu jsem vzal osla? Koho jsem utlačoval? Koho jsem vydíral? ⌈Od koho⌉ jsem vzal úplatek, abych kvůli němu přivřel oko? Vrátím vám to.

12:3  A však aj, teď jsem. Vydejte svědectví proti mně před Hospodinem a před pomazaným jeho, vzal-li jsem čího vola, aneb vzal-li jsem čího osla, utiskl-li jsem koho, ublížil-li jsem komu, aneb vzal-li jsem od koho úplatek, abych na něm přehlédl něco, a navrátím vám.

12:4  And they said: Thou hast not wronged us, nor oppressed us, nor taken ought at any man's hand.

12:4  Odvětili: „Nevydíral jsi nás a nekřivdil jsi nám a nic jsi od nikoho nevzal.“

12:5  And he said to them: The Lord is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found any thing in my hand. And they said: He is witness.

12:5  And he said to them, The LORD [is] witness against you, and his anointed [is] witness this day, that ye have not found aught in my hand. And they answered, [He is] witness.

12:6  And Samuel said to the people: It is the Lord who made Moses and Aaron, and brought our fathers out of the land of Egypt.

12:6  And Samuel said unto the people, It is the Lord that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.

12:6  Samuel pak řekl lidu: „Ano, Hospodin, který učinil Mojžíše a Árona a který přivedl vaše otce z egyptské země.

12:7  Now, therefore, stand up, that I may plead in judgment against you before the Lord, concerning all the kindness of the Lord, which he hath shewn to you, and to your fathers:

12:7  Nyní předstupte! Povedu s vámi před Hospodinem soud o všech Hospodinových spravedlivých činech, které konal pro vás a pro vaše otce.

12:10  But afterwards they cried to the Lord, and said: We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord, and have served Baalim and Astaroth: but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.

12:11  And the Lord sent Jerobaal, and Badan, and Jephte, and Samuel, and delivered you from the hand of your enemies round about, and you dwelt securely.

12:12  But seeing that Naas, king of the children of Ammon, was come against you, you said to me: Nay, but a king shall reign over us: whereas the Lord your God was your king.

12:12  And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the Lord your God was your king.

12:12  Když jste viděli, že na vás táhne Náchaš, král Amónovců, řekli jste mi: ‚Nikoli, ať nad námi kraluje král‘, ačkoli vaším králem je Hospodin, váš Bůh.

12:14  If you will fear the Lord, and serve him, and hearken to his voice, and not provoke the mouth of the Lord: then shall both you, and the king who reigneth over you, be followers of the Lord your God.

12:14  If ye will fear the Lord, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the Lord your God:

12:14  Jestliže se budete Hospodina bát, jemu sloužit a poslouchat ho, nebudete-li se vzpírat Hospodinovým rozkazům, obstojíte vy i král, který nad vámi kraluje; půjdete-li ovšem za Hospodinem, svým Bohem.

12:14  Budete ctít Hospodina, sloužit mu a poslouchat ho? Nebudete se vzpírat Hospodinovým příkazům a půjdete za Hospodinem, svým Bohem – vy i král, který nad vámi vládne?

12:14  Jestliže se budete bát Hospodina a budete mu sloužit, budete ho poslouchat a nebudete se vzpírat Hospodinovým příkazům, jestliže budete vy i král, který nad vámi kraluje, následovat Hospodina, svého Boha, bude dobře.

12:14  Budete-li se báti Hospodina, a jemu sloužiti a poslouchati hlasu jeho, a nebudete-li se zpěčovati řeči Hospodinově, tak i vy i král, kterýž kraluje nad vámi, ostojíte, jdouce za Hospodinem Bohem vaším.

12:14  If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye, and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God.

12:14  If you will fear the Lord, and serve him, and listen to his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and also the king who reigns over you are followers of the Lord your God.

12:15  But if you will not hearken to the voice of the Lord, but will rebel against his words, the hand of the Lord shall be upon you, and upon your fathers.
