1:7  Tak tomu bývalo každého roku. Pokaždé, když putovala do Hospodinova domu, tak ji urážela, že Chana pro pláč ani nejedla.

1:7  A tak to bývalo rok co rok, kdykoli šla do Hospodinovy svatyně. Jednou ji ponižovala tak, že se rozplakala a nemohla ani jíst.

1:7  To se dělo rok co rok; pokaždé, když přicházela do Hospodinova domu, takto ji provokovala ke hněvu. Proto Chana plakala a nejedla.

1:9  So Anna arose after she had eaten and drunk in Silo: And Heli, the priest, sitting upon a stool before the door of the temple of the Lord;

1:10  As Anna had her heart full of grief, she prayed to the Lord, shedding many tears,

1:10  And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.

1:11  And she made a vow, saying: O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt look down, and wilt be mindful of me, and not forget thy handmaid, and wilt give to thy servant a manchild: I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.

1:11  And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

1:11  Učinila slib. Řekla: Hospodine zástupů, jestliže opravdu pohlédneš na soužení své otrokyně a vzpomeneš na mě, nezapomeneš na svou otrokyni a dáš své otrokyni ⌈mužského potomka,⌉ dám ho Hospodinu pro všechny dny jeho života a břitva nepřijde na jeho hlavu.

1:16  Count not thy handmaid for one of the daughters of Belial: for out of the abundance of my sorrow and grief have I spoken till now.
