Chapter 13
Hebr DRC 13:1  Let the charity of the brotherhood abide in you.
Hebr VulgClem 13:1  Caritas fraternitatis maneat in vobis,
Hebr KJV 13:1  Let brotherly love continue.
Hebr DRC 13:2  And hospitality do not forget: for by this some, being not aware of it, have entertained angels.
Hebr KJV 13:2  Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Hebr DRC 13:3  Remember them that are in bands, as if you were bound with them: and them that labour, as being yourselves also in the body.
Hebr VulgClem 13:3  Mementote vinctorum, tamquam simul vincti : et laborantium, tamquam et ipsi in corpore morantes.
Hebr KJV 13:3  Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Hebr DRC 13:4  Marriage honourable in all, and the bed undefiled. For fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
Hebr VulgClem 13:4  Honorabile connubium in omnibus, et thorus immaculatus. Fornicatores enim, et adulteros judicabit Deus.
Hebr KJV 13:4  Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Hebr DRC 13:5  Let your manners be without covetousness, contented with such things as you have. For he hath said: I will not leave thee: neither will I forsake thee.
Hebr VulgClem 13:5  Sint mores sine avaritia, contenti præsentibus : ipse enim dixit : Non te deseram, neque derelinquam :
Hebr KJV 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebr DRC 13:6  So that we may confidently say: The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man shall do to me.
Hebr KJV 13:6  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Hebr DRC 13:7  Remember your prelates who have spoken the word of God to you: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation,
Hebr VulgClem 13:7  Mementote præpositorum vestrorum, qui vobis locuti sunt verbum Dei : quorum intuentes exitum conversationis, imitamini fidem.
Hebr KJV 13:7  Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
Hebr DRC 13:8  Jesus Christ, yesterday, and today: and the same for ever.
Hebr VulgClem 13:8  Jesus Christus heri, et hodie : ipse et in sæcula.
Hebr KJV 13:8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Hebr DRC 13:9  Be not led away with various and strange doctrines. For it is best that the heart be established with grace, not with meats: which have not profited those that walk in them.
Hebr KJV 13:9  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Hebr DRC 13:10  We have an altar whereof they have no power to eat who serve the tabernacle.
Hebr KJV 13:10  We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
Hebr DRC 13:11  For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the holies by the high priest for sin are burned without the camp.
Hebr KJV 13:11  For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
Hebr DRC 13:12  Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people by his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Hebr KJV 13:12  Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Hebr DRC 13:13  Let us go forth therefore to him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
Hebr VulgClem 13:13  Exeamus igitur ad eum extra castra, improperium ejus portantes.
Hebr KJV 13:13  Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
Hebr DRC 13:14  For, we have not here a lasting city: but we seek one that is to come.
Hebr KJV 13:14  For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
Hebr DRC 13:15  By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise always to God, that is to say, the fruit of lips confessing to his name.
Hebr VulgClem 13:15  Per ipsum ergo offeramus hostiam laudis semper Deo, id est, fructum labiorum confitentium nomini ejus.
Hebr KJV 13:15  By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Hebr DRC 13:16  And do not forget to do good and to impart: for by such sacrifices God's favour is obtained.
Hebr KJV 13:16  But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Hebr DRC 13:17  Obey your prelates and be subject to them. For they watch as being to render an account of your souls: that they may do this with joy and not with grief. For this is not expedient for you.
Hebr KJV 13:17  Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Hebr DRC 13:18  Pray for us. For we trust we have a good conscience, being willing to behave ourselves well in all things.
Hebr VulgClem 13:18  Orate pro nobis : confidimus enim quia bonam conscientiam habemus in omnibus bene volentes conversari.
Hebr KJV 13:18  Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
Hebr DRC 13:19  And I beseech you the more to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
Hebr KJV 13:19  But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
Hebr DRC 13:20  And may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great pastor of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, in the blood of the everlasting testament,
Hebr KJV 13:20  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
Hebr DRC 13:21  Fit you in all goodness, that you may do his will; doing in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom is glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebr VulgClem 13:21  aptet vos in omni bono, ut faciatis ejus voluntatem : faciens in vobis quod placeat coram se per Jesum Christum : cui est gloria in sæcula sæculorum. Amen.
Hebr KJV 13:21  Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebr DRC 13:22  And I beseech you, brethren, that you suffer this word of consolation. For I have written to you in a few words.
Etenim perpaucis scripsi vobis.
Hebr KJV 13:22  And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
Hebr DRC 13:23  Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty: with whom (if he come shortly) I will see you.
Hebr VulgClem 13:23  Cognoscite fratrem nostrum Timotheum dimissum : cum quo (si celerius venerit) videbo vos.
Hebr KJV 13:23  Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
Hebr DRC 13:24  Salute all your prelates and all the saints. The brethren from Italy salute you.
Hebr VulgClem 13:24  Salutate omnes præpositos vestros, et omnes sanctos. Salutant vos de Italia fratres.
Hebr KJV 13:24  Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
Hebr DRC 13:25  Grace be with you all. Amen.
Hebr VulgClem 13:25  Gratia cum omnibus vobis. Amen.
Hebr KJV 13:25  Grace be with you all. Amen. Written to the Hebrews from Italy by Timothy.
