13:1  And behold there came a man of God out of Juda, by the word of the Lord, to Bethel, when Jeroboam was standing upon the altar, and burning incense.

13:1  Když Jarobeám stanul u oltáře, aby pálil kadidlo, přišel do Bét-elu z Judska muž Boží s Hospodinovým slovem.

13:1  A aj, muž Boží přišel z Judstva s slovem Hospodinovým do Bethel, tehdáž když Jeroboám, stoje u oltáře, kadil.

13:2  And he cried out against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said: O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord: Behold a child shall be born to the house of David, Josias by name, and he shall immolate upon thee the priests of the high places, who now burn incense upon thee, and he shall burn men's bones upon thee.

13:2  Volal proti oltáři na Hospodinův pokyn: „Oltáři, oltáři, toto praví Hospodin: ‚Hle, Davidovu domu se narodí syn jménem Jóšijáš. Ten bude na tobě obětovat kněze posvátných návrší, kteří na tobě pálí kadidlo. Budou se na tobě spalovat i lidské kosti.‘“

13:2  „Oltáři, oltáři,“ zvolal k oltáři na Hospodinův rozkaz, „tak praví Hospodin: Hle, domu Davidovu se narodí syn jménem Jošiáš. Ten na tobě bude obětovat kněze posvátných výšin, kteří na tobě přinášejí oběti. I lidské kosti na tobě budou páleny!“

13:2  a volal proti oltáři podle Hospodinova slova: Oltáři, oltáři, toto praví Hospodin: Hle, Davidovu domu se zrodí syn jménem Jóšijáš a bude na tobě obětovat kněze návrší, kteří na tobě pálí kadidlo, a budou na tobě spáleny lidské kosti.

13:2  I zvolal proti oltáři slovem Hospodinovým, řka: Oltáři, oltáři, toto praví Hospodin: Hle, syn narodí se domu Davidovu, jménem Joziáš, kterýž obětovati bude na tobě kněží výsostí, jenž zapalují kadidlo na tobě; i kosti lidské páliti budou na tobě.

13:2  And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.

13:2  He cried against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said, "Altar, altar, thus says the Lord: 'Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name. On you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn men's bones on you.'"

13:3  And he gave a sign the same day, saying: This shall be the sign, that the Lord hath spoken: Behold the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it, shall be poured out.

13:3  Téhož dne dal i věštecké znamení: „Toto je věštecké znamení, které ohlásil Hospodin: Hle, oltář se roztrhne a popel z obětí, který je na něm, se rozsype.“

13:3  Tehdy také určil znamení: „Toto bude znamení, že promluvil Hospodin. Hle, tento oltář se roztrhne a popel na něm se rozsype!“

13:3  A učinil v onen den znamení se slovy: Toto je znamení, že promluvil Hospodin: Hle, oltář se roztrhne a popel, který je na něm, se rozsype.

13:3  I dal téhož dne znamení, řka: Totoť jest znamení, že mluvil Hospodin: Aj, oltář roztrhne se a vysype se popel, kterýž jest na něm.

13:3  And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This [is] the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that [are] upon it shall be poured out.

13:4  And when the king had heard the word of the man of God, which he had cried out against the altar in Bethel, he stretched forth his hand from the altar, saying: Lay hold on him. And his hand which he stretched forth against him, withered: and he was not able to draw it back again to him.

13:4  And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Beth–el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

13:4  Když uslyšel král Jarobeám slovo muže Božího, které zvolal proti oltáři v Bét-elu, vztáhl od oltáře svou ruku a poručil: „Chopte se ho!“ Ale ruka, kterou proti němu vztáhl, strnula, takže ji nemohl přitáhnout k sobě zpět.

13:4  Jakmile král Jeroboám uslyšel, co Boží muž zvolal k betelskému oltáři, namířil na něj od oltáře rukou a poručil: „Chopte se ho!“ Ruka, kterou na něj ukázal, mu ale odumřela, a už ji nemohl přitáhnout zpět k sobě.

13:4  I stalo se, když uslyšel král slovo muže Božího, které volal proti oltáři v Bét–elu, že Jarobeám vztáhl svou ruku od oltáře se slovy: Chyťte ho. Ale jeho ruka, kterou proti němu vztáhl, odumřela a nemohl ji dát zpět k sobě.

13:4  V tom uslyšev král Jeroboám slovo muže Božího, že zvolal proti oltáři v Bethel, vztáhl ruku svou od oltáře a řekl: Jměte ho. I uschla ruka jeho, kterouž vztáhl proti němu, a nemohl ji zase přitáhnouti k sobě.

13:4  And it came to pass when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, who had cried against the altar in Beth-el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it to him again.

13:5  Oltář se roztrhl a popel z obětí se z oltáře rozsypal podle věšteckého znamení, které muž Boží učinil na Hospodinův pokyn.

13:6  Král se na muže Božího obrátil se slovy: „Prosím, pros Hospodina, svého Boha, o shovívavost a modli se za mne, abych mohl přitáhnout ruku k sobě zpět.“ Muž Boží prosil Hospodina o shovívavost a král přitáhl ruku k sobě zpět a byla zase jako dřív.

13:6  Tehdy se král obrátil na Božího muže: „Přimluv se prosím u Hospodina, svého Boha, a modli se za mě, abych mohl ruku zase přitáhnout k sobě.“ Boží muž se přimluvil u Hospodina, král přitáhl ruku k sobě a byla zase jako dřív.

13:6  Král promluvil k muži Božímu a řekl: Udobři, prosím, Hospodina, svého Boha, a modli se za mě, ⌈aby se má ruka vrátila ke mně.⌉ Muž Boží udobřil Hospodina, ⌈ruka se vrátila ke králi⌉ a byla jako dříve.

13:6  Protož mluvil král a řekl tomu muži Božímu: Pomodl se medle Hospodinu Bohu svému a pros za mne, abych mohl přitáhnouti ruku svou k sobě. I modlil se muž Boží Hospodinu, a přitáhl král ruku zase k sobě, a byla jako prvé.

13:6  And the king answered and said to the man of God, Entreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored to him again, and became as [it was] before.

13:7  And the king said to the man of God: Come home with me to dine, and I will make thee presents.

13:7  Král k muži Božímu promluvil: „Pojď se mnou do domu, posilni se a dám ti dar.“

13:8  Muž Boží králi odvětil: „I kdybys mi dal polovinu svého domu, nepůjdu s tebou. Na tomto místě nebudu jíst chléb ani pít vodu,

13:8  Boží muž ale králi odpověděl: „I kdybys mi dal polovinu svého domu, nešel bych s tebou. Nic na tomto místě nesním, ani vody se nenapiju.

13:8  Muž Boží králi odpověděl: I kdybys mi dal polovinu svého domu, nepůjdu s tebou, nebudu jíst pokrm ani pít vodu na tomto místě.

13:14  And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under a turpentine tree: and he said to him: Art thou the man of God who camest from Juda? He answered: I am.

13:14  And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.

13:14  a jel za mužem Božím. Našel jej, jak sedí pod posvátným stromem. Řekl mu: „Ty jsi ten muž Boží, který přišel z Judska?“ Odpověděl: „Jsem.“

13:14  And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said to him, [Art] thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I [am].

13:14  He went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. He said to him, "Are you the man of God who came from Judah?" He said, "I am."

13:14  et abiit post virum Dei, et invenit eum sedentem subtus terebinthum : et ait illi : Tune es vir Dei qui venisti de Juda ? Respondit ille : Ego sum.

13:15  And he said to him: Come home with me to eat bread.
