Chapter 15
II K MKJV 15:1  In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah the son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.
II K MKJV 15:2  He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
II K MKJV 15:3  And he did the right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
II K MKJV 15:4  Only, the high places were not removed. The people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
II K MKJV 15:5  And the LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper until the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. And the king's son, Jotham, was over the house, judging the people of the land.
II K MKJV 15:6  And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah?
II K MKJV 15:7  And Azariah slept with his fathers. And they buried him with his fathers in the city of David. And his son Jotham reigned in his place.
II K MKJV 15:8  In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria, six months.
II K MKJV 15:9  And he did the evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
II K MKJV 15:10  And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him. And he struck him before the people, and killed him, and reigned in his place.
II K MKJV 15:11  And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel.
II K MKJV 15:12  This was the word of the LORD which He spoke to Jehu, saying, Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel until the fourth generation. And it was so.
II K MKJV 15:13  Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah. And he reigned in Samaria a full month.
II K MKJV 15:14  For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria and struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria. And he killed him and reigned in his place.
II K MKJV 15:15  And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel.
II K MKJV 15:16  Then Menahem struck Tiphsah, and all in it, and its borders, from Tirzah. Because they did not open, he struck it. He ripped up all its pregnant women.
II K MKJV 15:17  In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel, ten years in Samaria.
II K MKJV 15:18  And he did evil in the sight of the LORD. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, all his days.
II K MKJV 15:19  Pul, the king of Assyria came against the land. And Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
II K MKJV 15:20  And Menahem took the silver from Israel, from all the mighty men of wealth (fifty shekels of silver from each man) to give to the king of Assyria. And the king of Assyria turned back and did not stay there in the land.
II K MKJV 15:21  And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel?
II K MKJV 15:22  And Menahem slept with his fathers. And Pekahiah his son reigned in his place.
II K MKJV 15:23  In the fiftieth year of Uzziah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, two years.
II K MKJV 15:24  And he did the evil in the sight of the LORD. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
II K MKJV 15:25  But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a commander of his, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and fifty men of the Gileadites with him. And he killed him and reigned in his place.
II K MKJV 15:26  And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel.
II K MKJV 15:27  In the fifty-second year of Uzziah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, twenty years.
II K MKJV 15:28  And he did evil in the sight of the LORD. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
II K MKJV 15:29  In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and he deported them Assyria.
II K MKJV 15:30  And Hoshea the son of Elah made a plot against Pekah the son of Remaliah. And he struck him and killed him and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
II K MKJV 15:31  And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel.
II K MKJV 15:32  In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, began to reign.
II K MKJV 15:33  He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
II K MKJV 15:34  And he did right in the sight of the LORD. He did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
II K MKJV 15:35  Only, the high places were not removed. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places. He built the Upper Gate of the house of the LORD.
II K MKJV 15:36  And the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah?
II K MKJV 15:37  In those days the LORD began to send Rezin the king of Syria against Judah, and also Pekah the son of Remaliah.
II K MKJV 15:38  And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father. And his son Ahaz reigned in his place.
