Chapter 15
John Murdock 15:1  I am the true vine; and my Father is the cultivator.
John Murdock 15:2  Every branch in me, which yieldeth not fruits, he taketh it away: and that which yieldeth fruits, he cleanseth it, that it may yield more fruits.
John Murdock 15:3  Ye henceforth are clean, on account of the discourse I have held with you.
John Murdock 15:4  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot yield fruits of itself, unless it abide in the vine; so also, neither can ye, unless ye abide in me.
John Murdock 15:5  I am the vine, and ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, he yieldeth much fruit; for without me, ye can do nothing.
John Murdock 15:6  And if a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a withered branch; and they gather it up, and cast it into the fire to be burned.
John Murdock 15:7  But if ye shall abide in me, and my instructions shall abide in you, whatever ye shall be pleased to ask, it will be given to you.
John Murdock 15:8  In this is the Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and ye will be my disciples.
John Murdock 15:9  As my Father hath loved me, I also have loved you: abide ye in the love of me.
John Murdock 15:10  If ye shall keep my commands, ye will abide in the love of me, as I have kept the commands of my Father, and abide in his love.
John Murdock 15:11  These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
John Murdock 15:12  This is my command, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.
John Murdock 15:13  There is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John Murdock 15:14  Ye are my friends, if ye do all that I command you.
John Murdock 15:15  I no longer call you servants; because a servant knoweth not what his lord doeth; but I have called you my friends; because, whatever I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
John Murdock 15:16  It is not ye that chose me, but I that have chosen you; and I have appointed you, that ye also should go and yield fruits, and that your fruits should continue; so that whatever ye may ask of my Father in my name, he may give it you.
John Murdock 15:17  These things I command you, that ye should love one another.
John Murdock 15:18  And if the world hate you, know ye, that it hated me before you.
John Murdock 15:19  And if ye were of the world, the world would love what is of it. But ye are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; for this cause, the world hateth you.
John Murdock 15:20  Remember the word that I spoke to you, That there is no servant, who is greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; and if they have observed my teaching, they will also observe yours.
John Murdock 15:21  But all these things will they do to you, on account of my name, because they know not him that sent me.
John Murdock 15:22  If I had not come and discoursed with them, sin would not have been to them; but now there is no excuse for their sins.
John Murdock 15:24  If I had not wrought before them works which no other person ever did, sin would not have been to them: but now they have seen, and have hated, both me and my Father;
John Murdock 15:25  so that in them will be fulfilled the word which is written in their law: They hated me, without a cause.
John Murdock 15:26  But when the Comforter shall come, whom I will send to you from my Father, that Spirit of truth who proceedeth from the Father, He will testify of me.
John Murdock 15:27  And do ye also testify; for ye have been with me from the beginning.
