Chapter 33
Psal DRC 33:1  For David, when he changed his countenance before Achimelech, who dismissed him, and he went his way.
Psal VulgClem 33:1  Davidi, cum immutavit vultum suum coram Achimelech, et dimisit eum, et abiit.
Psal KJV 33:1  Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
Psal DRC 33:2  I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall be always in my mouth.
Psal VulgClem 33:2  Benedicam Dominum in omni tempore ; semper laus ejus in ore meo.
Psal KJV 33:2  Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Psal DRC 33:3  In the Lord shall my soul be praised: let the meek hear and rejoice.
Psal VulgClem 33:3  In Domino laudabitur anima mea : audiant mansueti, et lætentur.
Psal KJV 33:3  Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Psal DRC 33:4  O magnify the Lord with me; and let us extol his name together.

Psal KJV 33:4  For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Psal DRC 33:5  I sought the Lord, and he heard me; and he delivered me from all my troubles.
Psal VulgClem 33:5  Exquisivi Dominum, et exaudivit me ; et ex omnibus tribulationibus meis eripuit me.
Psal KJV 33:5  He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Psal DRC 33:6  Come ye to him and be enlightened: and your faces shall not be confounded.
Psal VulgClem 33:6  Accedite ad eum, et illuminamini ; et facies vestræ non confundentur.
Psal KJV 33:6  By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Psal DRC 33:7  This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him: and saved him out of all his troubles.
Psal VulgClem 33:7  Iste pauper clamavit, et Dominus exaudivit eum, et de omnibus tribulationibus ejus salvavit eum.
Psal KJV 33:7  He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
Psal DRC 33:8  The angel of the Lord shall encamp round about them that fear him: and shall deliver them.

Psal KJV 33:8  Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
Psal DRC 33:9  O taste, and see that the Lord is sweet: blessed is the man that hopeth in him.

Psal KJV 33:9  For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
Psal DRC 33:10  Fear the Lord, all ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

Psal KJV 33:10  The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
Psal DRC 33:11  The rich have wanted, and have suffered hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not be deprived of any good.
Psal VulgClem 33:11  Divites eguerunt, et esurierunt ; inquirentes autem Dominum non minuentur omni bono.
Psal KJV 33:11  The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Psal DRC 33:12  Come, children, hearken to me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Psal VulgClem 33:12  Venite, filii ; audite me : timorem Domini docebo vos.
Psal KJV 33:12  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Psal DRC 33:13  Who is the man that desireth life: who liveth to see good days?
Psal VulgClem 33:13  Quis est homo qui vult vitam ; diligit dies videre bonos ?
Psal KJV 33:13  The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
Psal DRC 33:14  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Psal VulgClem 33:14  Prohibe linguam tuam a malo, et labia tua ne loquantur dolum.
Psal KJV 33:14  From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
Psal DRC 33:15  Turn away from evil and do good: seek after peace and pursue it.
Psal VulgClem 33:15  Diverte a malo, et fac bonum ; inquire pacem, et persequere eam.
Psal KJV 33:15  He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
Psal DRC 33:16  The eyes of the Lord are upon the just: and his ears unto their prayers.
Psal VulgClem 33:16  Oculi Domini super justos, et aures ejus in preces eorum.
Psal KJV 33:16  There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
Psal DRC 33:17  But the countenance of the Lord is against them that do evil things: to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Psal VulgClem 33:17  Vultus autem Domini super facientes mala, ut perdat de terra memoriam eorum.
Psal KJV 33:17  An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
Psal DRC 33:18  The just cried, and the Lord heard them: and delivered them out of all their troubles.
Psal VulgClem 33:18  Clamaverunt justi, et Dominus exaudivit eos ; et ex omnibus tribulationibus eorum liberavit eos.
Psal KJV 33:18  Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
Psal DRC 33:19  The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a contrite heart: and he will save the humble of spirit.
Psal VulgClem 33:19  Juxta est Dominus iis qui tribulato sunt corde, et humiles spiritu salvabit.
Psal KJV 33:19  To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Psal DRC 33:20  Many are the afflictions of the just; but out of them all will the Lord deliver them.
Psal VulgClem 33:20  Multæ tribulationes justorum ; et de omnibus his liberabit eos Dominus.
Psal KJV 33:20  Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
Psal DRC 33:21  The Lord keepeth all their bones, not one of them shall be broken.
Psal VulgClem 33:21  Custodit Dominus omnia ossa eorum : unum ex his non conteretur.
Psal KJV 33:21  For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Psal DRC 33:22  The death of the wicked is very evil: and they that hate the just shall be guilty.
Psal VulgClem 33:22  Mors peccatorum pessima ; et qui oderunt justum delinquent.
Psal KJV 33:22  Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Psal DRC 33:23  The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall offend.
Psal VulgClem 33:23  Redimet Dominus animas servorum suorum, et non delinquent omnes qui sperant in eo.
