Chapter 74
Psal DRC 74:1  Unto the end, corrupt not, a psalm of a canticle for Asaph.
Psal VulgClem 74:1  In finem, ne corrumpas. Psalmus cantici Asaph.
Psal KJV 74:1  O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
Psal DRC 74:2  We will praise thee, O God: we will praise, and we will call upon thy name. We will relate thy wondrous works:
Psal VulgClem 74:2  Confitebimur tibi, Deus, confitebimur, et invocabimus nomen tuum ; narrabimus mirabilia tua.
Psal KJV 74:2  Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
Psal DRC 74:3  When I shall take a time, I will judge justices.
Psal VulgClem 74:3  Cum accepero tempus, ego justitias judicabo.
Psal KJV 74:3  Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.
Psal DRC 74:4  The earth is melted, and all that dwell therein: I have established the pillars thereof.
Psal VulgClem 74:4  Liquefacta est terra et omnes qui habitant in ea : ego confirmavi columnas ejus.
Psal KJV 74:4  Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
Psal DRC 74:5  I said to the wicked: Do not act wickedly: and to the sinners: Lift not up the horn.
Psal VulgClem 74:5  Dixi iniquis : Nolite inique agere : et delinquentibus : Nolite exaltare cornu :
Psal KJV 74:5  A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
Psal DRC 74:6  Lift not up your horn on high: speak not iniquity against God.
Psal VulgClem 74:6  nolite extollere in altum cornu vestrum ; nolite loqui adversus Deum iniquitatem.
Psal KJV 74:6  But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
Psal DRC 74:7  For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert hills:
Psal VulgClem 74:7  Quia neque ab oriente, neque ab occidente, neque a desertis montibus :
Psal KJV 74:7  They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.
Psal DRC 74:8  For God is the judge. One he putteth down, and another he lifteth up:
Psal VulgClem 74:8  quoniam Deus judex est. Hunc humiliat, et hunc exaltat :
Psal KJV 74:8  They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
Psal DRC 74:9  For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup of strong wine full of mixture. And he hath poured it out from this to that: but the dregs thereof are not emptied: all the sinners of the earth shall drink.
Psal VulgClem 74:9  quia calix in manu Domini vini meri, plenus misto. Et inclinavit ex hoc in hoc ; verumtamen fæx ejus non est exinanita : bibent omnes peccatores terræ.
Psal KJV 74:9  We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
Psal DRC 74:10  But I will declare for ever: I will sing to the God of Jacob.
Psal VulgClem 74:10  Ego autem annuntiabo in sæculum ; cantabo Deo Jacob :
Psal KJV 74:10  O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
Psal DRC 74:11  And I will break all the horns of sinners: but the horns of the just shall be exalted.
Psal VulgClem 74:11  et omnia cornua peccatorum confringam, et exaltabuntur cornua justi.
Psal KJV 74:11  Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.

Psal KJV 74:14  Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

Psal KJV 74:15  Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.

Psal KJV 74:16  The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.

Psal KJV 74:17  Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.

Psal KJV 74:18  Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Lord, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

Psal KJV 74:19  O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.

Psal KJV 74:23  Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.
