34:7  Who keepest mercy unto thousands: who takest away iniquity, and wickedness, and sin, and no man of himself is innocent before thee. Who renderest the iniquity of the fathers to the children, and to the grandchildren unto the third and fourth generation.

34:7  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

34:7  který osvědčuje milosrdenství tisícům pokolení, který odpouští vinu, přestoupení a hřích; avšak viníka nenechává bez trestu, stíhá vinu otců na synech i na vnucích do třetího a čtvrtého pokolení.“

34:7  pamatující na milosrdenství tisícům pokolení, odpouštějící nepravost, provinění i hřích. Nezapomíná však trestat, ale za nepravost otců volá k odpovědnosti syny i vnuky do třetího i čtvrtého pokolení.“

34:7  zachovává milosrdenství tisícům, snímá vinu, přestoupení a hřích, jistě však nenechá viníka bez trestu, navštěvuje s trestem vinu otců na synech i na synech synů, na třetí i čtvrté generaci.

34:9  a řekl: „Jestliže jsem, Panovníku, nalezl u tebe milost, putuj prosím, Panovníku, uprostřed nás. Je to lid tvrdošíjný; promiň nám však vinu a hřích a přijmi nás jako dědictví.“

34:9  Potom řekl: „Pane můj, máš-li ve mně zalíbení, ať prosím jde můj Pán uprostřed nás, ačkoli je to tvrdošíjný lid. Odpusť naši nepravost i hřích a přijmi nás jako své vlastní!“

34:9  a řekl: Jestliže jsem nalezl milost ve tvých očích, Panovníku, ať jde Panovník v našem středu, přestože je to lid tvrdé šíje. Odpusť naši vinu a náš hřích a přijmi nás do dědictví.

34:9  And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us (for it [is] a stiff-necked people) and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thy inheritance.

34:9  ait : Si inveni gratiam in conspectu tuo, Domine, obsecro ut gradiaris nobiscum (populus enim duræ cervicis est) et auferas iniquitates nostras atque peccata, nosque possideas.

34:10  The Lord answered: I will make a covenant in the sight of all, I will do signs such as were never seen upon the earth, nor in any nations; that this people, in the midst of whom thou art, may see the terrible work of the Lord which I will do.

34:10  And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

34:10  Hospodin odpověděl: „Hle, uzavírám s vámi smlouvu. Před veškerým tvým lidem učiním podivuhodné věci, jaké nebyly stvořeny na celé zemi ani mezi všemi pronárody. Všechen lid, uprostřed něhož jsi, uvidí Hospodinovo dílo; neboť to, co já s tebou učiním, bude vzbuzovat bázeň.

34:10  Hospodin odpověděl: „Hle, vstupuji do této smlouvy: Před celým tvým lidem budu konat divy, jaké se neděly v žádném národě na celé zemi. Všechen lid, uprostřed něhož jsi, uvidí Hospodinovo dílo, neboť to, co s tebou učiním, bude ohromující.

34:10  On řekl: Hle, uzavírám smlouvu: Před celým tvým lidem učiním divy, jaké nebyly stvořeny na celé zemi ani v žádném národě. A celý národ, uprostřed něhož jsi, uvidí Hospodinovo dílo, protože to, co s tebou učiním, bude vzbuzovat hrůzu.

34:10  Kterýžto řekl: Aj, já učiním smlouvu přede vším lidem tvým. Učiním divné věci, kteréž nejsou učiněny na vší zemi a ve všech národech, a viděti bude všecken lid, (mezi nimiž jsi,) skutky Hospodinovy; nebo hrozné bude to, což já učiním s tebou.

34:10  And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do wonders, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou [art], shall see the work of the LORD: for it [is] a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

34:10  He said, "Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of the Lord; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.

34:11  Observe all things which this day I command thee: I myself will drive out before thy face the Amorrhite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite.
