HEBREWS
Chapter 13
Hebr | Common | 13:2 | Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
Hebr | Common | 13:3 | Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves are also in the body.
Hebr | Common | 13:4 | Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the immoral and adulterous.
Hebr | Common | 13:5 | Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said, "I will never leave you, nor will I forsake you."
Hebr | Common | 13:6 | So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
Hebr | Common | 13:7 | Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God; consider the outcome of their life, and imitate their faith.
Hebr | Common | 13:9 | Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
Hebr | Common | 13:11 | For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp.
Hebr | Common | 13:12 | And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to sanctify the people through his own blood.
Hebr | Common | 13:14 | For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city which is to come.
Hebr | Common | 13:15 | Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
Hebr | Common | 13:16 | Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebr | Common | 13:17 | Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this with joy, and not with grief, for that would be of no advantage to you.
Hebr | Common | 13:18 | Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.
Hebr | Common | 13:20 | Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal covenant,
Hebr | Common | 13:21 | equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebr | Common | 13:22 | I urge you, brethren, bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.
Hebr | Common | 13:23 | You should know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I will see you if he comes soon.
Hebr | Common | 13:24 | Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those who come from Italy send you greetings.
