5:1  Go about through the streets of Jerusalem, and see, and consider, and seek in the broad places thereof, if you can find a man that executeth judgment, and seeketh faith: and I will be merciful unto it.

5:1  „Proběhněte ulicemi Jeruzaléma, prohledejte jeho náměstí, jen se dívejte a přesvědčte se, zda najdete někoho, kdo uplatňuje právo, kdo hledá pravdu, a já Jeruzalému odpustím.

5:3  Hospodine, tobě přece záleží na věrnosti. Biješ je, ale bolestí se nesvíjejí, ničíš je, ale tvá napomínání odmítají. Jejich tváře jsou tvrdší než skála, odmítají se vrátit.

5:3  Ty ale, Hospodine, přece jistě očima pátráš po věrnosti. Bil jsi je, ale necítili bolest, hubils je, ale nedali se poučit. Tváře zatvrdili víc než kámen, vrátit se odmítli.

5:3  Hospodine, cožpak tvoje oči nehledí na věrnost? Ranil jsi je, ale ⌈necítili bolest,⌉ ničil jsi je, ale odmítali přijmout kázeň. Zatvrdili se víc než skála, odmítali se navrátit.

5:5  Půjdu tedy k velkým, promluvím s nimi, ti přece znají Hospodinovu cestu, řády svého Boha. Avšak ti rovněž rozlomili jho, zpřetrhali pouta.

5:5  Půjdu raději za mocnými a s nimi promluvím; ti přece Hospodinovu cestu znají, ti vědí, co jejich Bůh nařídil. Jenže ti také jeden jako druhý své jho rozlámali, postroje ze sebe strhali.

5:5  Zajdu si k ⌈vysoko postaveným⌉ a promluvím si s nimi, protože oni znají Hospodinovu cestu, nařízení svého Boha. Jenže i tihle zlomili jho, zpřetrhali pouta.

5:5  Půjdu aspoň k přednějším, a mluviti budu k nim; nebo oni povědomi jsou cesty Hospodinovy, soudu Boha svého. Ale i ti spolu polámali jho, roztrhali svazky.

5:6  Proto je zadáví lev z divočiny, zahubí je stepní vlk. U jejich měst bude číhat levhart a rozsápe každého, kdo z nich vyjde, neboť jejich nevěrností je tolik, tak četná jsou jejich odvrácení.

5:6  Proto se na ně z lesa vrhne lev, vlk z pustiny je rozsápe, leopard bude číhat u jejich měst a roztrhá každého, kdo vyjde ven. Už bylo příliš jejich vzpour, jejich nevěry už bylo dost!

5:6  Proto je zabije lev z houštiny, zničí je stepní vlk. Před jejich městy číhá leopard; každého z nich, kdo vyjde, roztrhá na kusy, protože jejich přestoupení je mnoho, mnoho je jejich odvrácení.

5:6  Protož je podáví lev z lesa, vlk večerní pohubí je, pardus číhati bude u měst jejich. Kdožkoli vyjde z nich, roztrhán bude; nebo mnohá jsou přestoupení jejich, rozmohly se převrácenosti jejich.

5:7  „Jak bych ti to mohl odpustit? Tvoji synové mě opustili a přísahají při tom, co není Bůh. Sytím je, a oni cizoloží, v domě nevěstky si zasazují smuteční zářezy.

5:7  „Jak ti to mohu odpustit? Tví synové mě opustili a přísahají skrze nebohy. Jen co jsem je nasytil, odešli cizoložit, houfem se valí do domu nevěstky.

5:7  Proč bych ti měl odpustit? Tvoji synové mě opustili a přísahali při těch, kdo nejsou bohy. Nasytil jsem je, ale oni cizoloží a houfují se v nevěstinci.

5:7  Kdež jest to, pročež bych měl odpustiti tobě? Synové tvoji opouštějí mne, a přisahají skrze ty, kteříž nejsou bohové. Jakž jsem jen nasytil je, hned cizoloží, a do domu nevěstky houfem se valí.

5:7  How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by [them that are] no gods: when I had fed them to the full, then they committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

5:9  Což je za to nemám ztrestat? je výrok Hospodinův. Což takový pronárod nemá postihnout má pomsta?

5:9  Cožpak je za to nemám navštívit?, je Hospodinův výrok. Zdalipak se moje duše nepomstí na národě, jako je tento?

5:9  Zdaliž pro takové věci nemám navštíviti? dí Hospodin. A zdali nad národem takovým nemá mstíti duše má?

5:9  Shall I not visit for these [things]? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
