Chapter 37
Job DRC 37:1  At this my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.
Job KJV 37:1  At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
Job DRC 37:2  Hear ye attentively the terror of his voice, and the sound that cometh out of his mouth.
Job VulgClem 37:2  Audite auditionem in terrore vocis ejus, et sonum de ore illius procedentem.
Job KJV 37:2  Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.
Job DRC 37:3  He beholdeth under all the heavens, and his light is upon the ends of the earth.
Job VulgClem 37:3  Subter omnes cælos ipse considerat, et lumen illius super terminos terræ.
Job KJV 37:3  He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
Job DRC 37:4  After it a noise shall roar, he shall thunder with the voice of his majesty, and shall not be found out, when his voice shall be heard.
Job KJV 37:4  After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
Job DRC 37:5  God shall thunder wonderfully with his voice, he that doth great and unsearchable things.
Job VulgClem 37:5  Tonabit Deus in voce sua mirabiliter, qui facit magna et inscrutabilia ;
Job KJV 37:5  God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
Job DRC 37:6  He commandeth the snow to go down upon the earth, and the winter rain, and the shower of his strength.
Job VulgClem 37:6  qui præcipit nivi ut descendat in terram, et hiemis pluviis, et imbri fortitudinis suæ ;
Job KJV 37:6  For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
Job DRC 37:7  He sealeth up the hand of all men, that every one may know his works.
Job KJV 37:7  He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
Job DRC 37:8  Then the beast shall go into his covert, and shall abide in his den.
Job VulgClem 37:8  Ingredietur bestia latibulum, et in antro suo morabitur.
Job KJV 37:8  Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
Job DRC 37:9  Out of the inner parts shall a tempest come, and cold out of the north.
Job KJV 37:9  Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
Job DRC 37:10  When God bloweth there cometh frost, and again the waters are poured out abundantly.
Job VulgClem 37:10  Flante Deo, concrescit gelu, et rursum latissimæ funduntur aquæ.
Job KJV 37:10  By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Job DRC 37:11  Corn desireth clouds, and the clouds spread their light:
Job VulgClem 37:11  Frumentum desiderat nubes, et nubes spargunt lumen suum.
Job KJV 37:11  Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
Job DRC 37:12  Which go round about, whithersoever the will of him that governeth them shall lead them, to whatsoever he shall command them upon the face of the whole earth:
Job VulgClem 37:12  Quæ lustrant per circuitum, quocumque eas voluntas gubernantis duxerit, ad omne quod præceperit illis super faciem orbis terrarum :
Job KJV 37:12  And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
Job DRC 37:13  Whether in one tribe, or in his own land, or in what place soever of his mercy he shall command them to be found.
Job VulgClem 37:13  sive in una tribu, sive in terra sua, sive in quocumque loco misericordiæ suæ eas jusserit inveniri.
Job KJV 37:13  He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
Job DRC 37:14  Hearken to these things, Job: Stand, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Job VulgClem 37:14  Ausculta hæc, Job : sta, et considera mirabilia Dei.
Job KJV 37:14  Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Job DRC 37:15  Dost thou know when God commanded the rains, to shew his light of his clouds?
Job VulgClem 37:15  Numquid scis quando præceperit Deus pluviis, ut ostenderent lucem nubium ejus ?
Job KJV 37:15  Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
Job DRC 37:16  Knowest thou the great paths of the clouds, and the perfect knowledges?
Job VulgClem 37:16  Numquid nosti semitas nubium magnas, et perfectas scientias ?
Job KJV 37:16  Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
Job DRC 37:17  Are not thy garments hot, when the south wind blows upon the earth?
Job KJV 37:17  How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
Job DRC 37:18  Thou perhaps hast made the heavens with him, which are most strong, as if they were of molten brass.
Job KJV 37:18  Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
Job DRC 37:19  Shew us what we may say to him: or we are wrapped up in darkness.
Job VulgClem 37:19  Ostende nobis quid dicamus illi : nos quippe involvimur tenebris.
Job KJV 37:19  Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
Job DRC 37:20  Who shall tell him the things I speak? even if a man shall speak, he shall be swallowed up.
Job KJV 37:20  Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
Job DRC 37:21  But now they see not the light: the air on a sudden shall be thickened into clouds, and the wind shall pass and drive them away.
Job VulgClem 37:21  At nunc non vident lucem : subito aër cogetur in nubes, et ventus transiens fugabit eas.
Job KJV 37:21  And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
Job DRC 37:22  Cold cometh out of the north, and to God praise with fear.
Job KJV 37:22  Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
Job DRC 37:23  We cannot find him worthily: he is great in strength, and in judgment, and in justice, and he is ineffable.
Job KJV 37:23  Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
Job DRC 37:24  Therefore men shall fear him, and all that seem to themselves to be wise, shall not dare to behold him.
Job KJV 37:24  Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
