Chapter 71
Psal DRC 71:1  A psalm on Solomon.
Psal VulgClem 71:1  Psalmus, in Salomonem.
Psal KJV 71:1  In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
Psal DRC 71:2  Give to the king thy judgment, O God, and to the king's son thy justice: To judge thy people with justice, and thy poor with judgment.
Psal VulgClem 71:2  Deus, judicium tuum regi da, et justitiam tuam filio regis ; judicare populum tuum in justitia, et pauperes tuos in judicio.
Psal KJV 71:2  Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
Psal DRC 71:3  Let the mountains receive peace for the people: and the hills justice.
Psal VulgClem 71:3  Suscipiant montes pacem populo, et colles justitiam.
Psal KJV 71:3  Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
Psal DRC 71:4  He shall judge the poor of the people, and he shall save the children of the poor: and he shall humble the oppressor.

Psal KJV 71:4  Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
Psal DRC 71:5  And he shall continue with the sun and before the moon, throughout all generations.

Psal KJV 71:5  For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
Psal DRC 71:6  He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth.
Psal VulgClem 71:6  Descendet sicut pluvia in vellus, et sicut stillicidia stillantia super terram.
Psal KJV 71:6  By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
Psal DRC 71:7  In his days shall justice spring up, and abundance of peace, till the moon be taken away.
Psal VulgClem 71:7  Orietur in diebus ejus justitia, et abundantia pacis, donec auferatur luna.
Psal KJV 71:7  I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
Psal DRC 71:8  And he shall rule from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
Psal VulgClem 71:8  Et dominabitur a mari usque ad mare, et a flumine usque ad terminos orbis terrarum.
Psal KJV 71:8  Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.
Psal DRC 71:9  Before him the Ethiopians shall fall down: and his enemies shall lick the ground.

Psal KJV 71:9  Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
Psal DRC 71:10  The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall bring gifts:

Psal KJV 71:10  For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,
Psal DRC 71:11  And all kings of the earth shall adore him: all nations shall serve him.
Psal VulgClem 71:11  et adorabunt eum omnes reges terræ ; omnes gentes servient ei.
Psal KJV 71:11  Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.
Psal DRC 71:12  For he shall deliver the poor from the mighty: and the needy that had no helper.
Psal VulgClem 71:12  Quia liberabit pauperem a potente, et pauperem cui non erat adjutor.
Psal KJV 71:12  O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
Psal DRC 71:13  He shall spare the poor and needy: and he shall save the souls of the poor.
Psal VulgClem 71:13  Parcet pauperi et inopi, et animas pauperum salvas faciet.
Psal KJV 71:13  Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.
Psal DRC 71:14  He shall redeem their souls from usuries and iniquity: and their names shall be honourable in his sight.
Psal VulgClem 71:14  Ex usuris et iniquitate redimet animas eorum, et honorabile nomen eorum coram illo.
Psal KJV 71:14  But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
Psal DRC 71:15  And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Arabia, for him they shall always adore: they shall bless him all the day.
Psal VulgClem 71:15  Et vivet, et dabitur ei de auro Arabiæ ; et adorabunt de ipso semper, tota die benedicent ei.
Psal KJV 71:15  My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.
Psal DRC 71:16  And there shall be a firmament on the earth on the tops of mountains, above Libanus shall the fruit thereof be exalted: and they of the city shall flourish like the grass of the earth.
Psal VulgClem 71:16  Et erit firmamentum in terra in summis montium ; superextolletur super Libanum fructus ejus, et florebunt de civitate sicut fœnum terræ.
Psal KJV 71:16  I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
Psal DRC 71:17  Let his name be blessed for evermore: his name continueth before the sun. And in him shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed: all nations shall magnify him.
Psal VulgClem 71:17  Sit nomen ejus benedictum in sæcula ; ante solem permanet nomen ejus. Et benedicentur in ipso omnes tribus terræ ; omnes gentes magnificabunt eum.
Psal KJV 71:17  O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
Psal DRC 71:18  Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone doth wonderful things.
Psal VulgClem 71:18  Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël, qui facit mirabilia solus.
Psal KJV 71:18  Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
Psal DRC 71:19  And blessed be the name of his majesty for ever: and the whole earth shall be filled with his majesty. So be it. So be it.
Psal VulgClem 71:19  Et benedictum nomen majestatis ejus in æternum, et replebitur majestate ejus omnis terra. Fiat, fiat.
Psal KJV 71:19  Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
Psal DRC 71:20  The praises of David, the son of Jesse, are ended.

Psal KJV 71:20  Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
